The world has changed. Today, only having skills or being highly educated means nothing if you don't have connections and/or you can't promote yourself. Today, the attention is everything. Are you good at marketing yourself and your skills? Then you can earn money money and live better than someone who is more educated than you and has better skills but honestly, connections mean a lot too.
What the government and organizations should do is one thing and to suit the modern reality is different. Yes, they should do certain things but the fact is that they don't do, so, in such case, you have to adapt the modern time and way of living.

So old generation could get a job on merit? Was that a thing? I thought references were needed before as well. Because that's what I have heard from the older people. They said the competition was low though, but they did not realize it until they got the job. I think this is a cycle. If the world has changed a lot, so have the opportunities and how we take them. Then we also have to change according to it, and if we don't know how it was before, then we won't even notice or mind anything.

Inflation has never been worse like now, but old generations also had to face a lot of problems. They had a lot of barriers in securing jobs, but times have changed now. We can't do one or two jobs at a time to live a good life. Either we choose to be TikTokers, or OF, or we do at least three jobs haha.

I agree and disagree with you on this statement, which I think is both wrong and correct at the same time. This is correct that getting higher education is not worth it anymore if you don't have any skills related to your field. But yes, if you are well educated and well skilled, then you are good to go. And when you have good skills, then it becomes easier for you to get the best job related to your field. So the time has gone when you have to go door to door looking for a job related to your field. We are living in the digital era where finding a job is easier than before.

It's extremely difficult today to land a job. When you are freshly educated and new to the market, every company is looking for someone who has years of experience. How can you gain years of experience if no one gives you a chance? Or you might have to work for a salary that won't be enough and in this case, you need financial help of your parents for at least a year or two and then you still need a luck to land a job because you are in competition against those who have connections and whose uncles are bosses of the company.

When you have good skills, then you get attention easily without putting in too much. I am not saying don't make efforts, but it reduces the high-level difficulty. Once you find a job, then from that point your good connections start to increase with different kinds of people in the field. Then you learn more and more.

When you have years of experience, then yes, you can easily get attention but it's extremely hard to reach that point.

Dynamics of earning money sounds nice but if you delve deeper into the subject you understand that money does not come from thin air, someone pays it to the company who pays it to its employers, unless you plan on stealing money which I dont consider a correct thing to do.

So if you want to legitimately earn money, you have to get educated in a stream you like, follow your passion, develop skills on that line and start selling what you have learnt. Certain professional courses are obviously well earning than others, but that does not mean that the others a bad.

Today even a good restaurant owner is able to a living without having a formal education and these are physically demanding jobs which have less chance of AI takeover.

In my country, what is giving the youth money right now is online, many people have an online skill and that is what is giving them money.
If you don’t have an online skill in my country right now as a youth and you don’t have family wealth, you are going to actually suffer because there is no good job for the youth in my country.

Sometimes I wonder, if not for online jobs and skill how would youth in my country cope, because the cost of living right now in my country is very high, people are going through a lot however, online skill and technology has changed everything for the youth of my country, even though not everyone, but a lot of people are benefiting from online and technology we have right now in the world.

Content creation has uplifted a lot of creators and independently earn but there is a problem we are not addressing. If you see a person on Tiktok that has videos with millions views and like, they might not be earning anything from those views because some locations are monetized. Nigeria Tiktok account does not earn anything from monetization until you create account from regions where monetization are allowed and that's violation of policy.

Facebook is another place that people think creators earn money but that was the early days when monetization were not spam, now you could get paid as low as $10 with a million views because how ads are targeted. Most creators that makes money from content are people from western part of the world. The only platform that is neural and supportive of creators is X irrespective of where you live but i heard they are going to change their monetization this coming September. The content thing is too stressful.

If you think about it everything about the system is designed to keep people in slavery and I'm talking about the educational system, everything feels like you are being conditioned and programmed to work for the government after everything. The youths are not given opportunities that would make them self employed, it is always something that would make them trapped to working under the government. In most cases there are no job opportunities at all and that's because the government uses unemployment and poverty as a tool to keep the youths under their control.

Because this also happens in my country if we look deeper, where the education curriculum still uses old methods, they only rely on theory without practical learning or skill sharpening, so many graduates end up only aiming to work in the government or as private employees.

Perhaps there is some truth to this. But on the other hand, how can a young person who has just graduated from university immediately become an entrepreneur? You still need to decide on a field of work, because it has long stopped being determined by your education and what is written on your diploma. You need to learn how things work from the inside: how companies operate, what their processes are, who is responsible for what, and what the hierarchy looks like. It is impossible to build your own business without this understanding, and you can only gain this kind of experience by working inside a company as an employee.

I think in general, for as long as you have money then your words are also wisdom to the society. Whether it's with the local companies where you'll invest and spread your cash with and as well as in the community where you are a part of. Even having a talk to these youth, when they know that you've got money, they're going to listen. But if you're a nobody, you're going to be ignored. For investors who sees a good economic movement on their country, it's not only about investing but also being supportive and empowering these chosen companies that you invested with.
