For now my kids are still growing and ain’t matured yet to be able to memorize the seed phrase but what i did is to teach my wife the seed phrase so that incase am not around for any reason she can recover the bitcoin, with time once my kids especially my first son is grown enough to be able to handle something of such magnitude i will teach them but for know he isn’t matured enough.
Teaching them the seed phrase is not enough when there is no understanding of the magnitude of information in their possession. Your wife would be in the best position to handle such information, that is if she understands what bitcoin is all about and the principles behind its price movement.

It is also advised to have a physical copy of your seed phrase, one that should be kept in a secured place. Also learn more about wallet security, hardware wallet and ways to prevent external malware attacks and phishing from unauthorized sources.

This is actually something so many people don't like to talk about, they try to convince themselves that nobody else will ever learn about their seed phrase and for someone who's probably alone in the world and would rather their bitcoin be lost then give it up then it's probably fine but for those who are building wealth with plans of leaving them to others you will eventually have to consider that if something happens to you and no one else can access your wallet then your bitcoin will be lost for good, it might feel somewhat unsafe but if you can let someone have access to your assets and bank accounts if you die then you should also be able to let someone into your wallet too.

Your Bitcoin may become unreachable by your family if you are only individual who knows where your seed phrase is and how your wallet works. On the other hand, if you share your seed phrase with someone during your lifetime, it also creates clear security issues.
If we never share the information about the seed phrase or private keys of the Bitcoin wallets, surely the Bitcoin can't be accessed by anyone. I think the best way is to share the information to the most trusted one in our family. I don't think there will be security issue if we share it to trusted one. It will be a problem if we share to the wrong one. That's why we must know well the personality of each person in our family, so we won't choose the wrong one.

It very dangerous to share a seed phrase and most important details about our bitcoin to people including those close to us, but it is very important to have someone we trust in the family that we can share our most important secrets with, the person can be a father, mother or anyone we share our secrets with and who never say it in public, we always have one person in a family who we share our secret with no matter how bad the family looks.

I don’t have anyone who can inherit my bitcoin at this time if anything happens to me, but i have a brother who i trust and i share my bitcoin information with, it has been a years and nothing happened to my bitcoin because we trust each other, and i consider him as my parent because he is older than me, it will be better for a family to know about your bitcoin details than to not to tell anyone about it.

The hard aspect is creating plan that will protect your Bitcoin today and let trusted individuals get it back later. It is likely that there is not one solution that works for everyone, so it is best to consider it before it is needed.

Have you made any inheritance plan for your Bitcoin?
Nope, no inheritance plans because I don't hold much. I plan to use most of it for my marriage, like to gift it to the bride if she accepts it, but they prefer gold, they don't know the potential of bitcoin yet anyway. I will make a plan soon if I have to, although so far I have not thought about it.

Life is too fast that money comes and goes, it doesn't stay with me for that long. I usually sell my coins which I have held for even 2 or 4 years, as I don't care if I am in profit or loss, if I need them, I will sell them.

That's why I invested in them in the first place, but typically I am always in profit. Only a few times I had to deal with a loss, but emergency funds could easily save me. I used them as well haha. Therefore, don't worry that much, we can buy bitcoins again. At least we have used them for something good instead of losing them.

My partner and I are both aware of this. We believe in openness in all matters, including our financial assets. We even share our ATM PINs and other details. Essentially, I do this because I know my partner’s character well, and I understand the risks involved should something unexpected happen. At the moment, I haven’t directly bequeathed anything to my children, as they’re still too young.

I trust my spouse that is why I would not waste time to expose my wallets to her to know how to withdraw and operate the wallets incase something was to happen to me unplanned. You can never know what will happen in life that is why you have to plan for every disappointment that can happen to you and make you become handicap or dead.

Nobody plans for their life to be uncomfortable for them but nature happens that is why sensitive things like your wallet should be given permission to someone you trust very well so money can be used incase you need it urgently or your family needs it to continue living. Your kids will need to survive if you leave this world unplanned, your burial has to be planned for also and all this will need money hence your backups should be entrusted to your spouse so they don't have to suffer if you are not around anymore.

That works, sadly I haven’t put any of these measures in place, though I’ve always had the silent thought on how I can go about it, possibly same measures like yours where I would refer whom I deem fit to a forum user or someone that I feel would have equal knowledge to help out in the event that I’m unable or incapacitated.
For now, if anything happens to me, then my coins would be lost like the many lost burned coins out there and add a little value to all your holdings.

It is indeed necessary to prepare as soon as possible because we do not know what will happen in the future.. and if our wife understands how to access our wallet after we are gone, it will be very helpful for her because she does not need to ask for help from others to be able to access it, which has a big potential for her to be deceived by others. We just do not want something like that to happen after we are gone that the assets we have accumulated for so long are taken away by others just because of our negligence in not preparing a proper inheritance plan.

Have you made any inheritance plan for your Bitcoin?
I have already created a detailed topic on this issue on my local board and I try to follow that plan for myself, because we all know it is not enough to just keep the seed phrase safe but also to have a plan for the family if necessary. If you want you can read my topic once.

Of course, sharing seed phrase with someone else come with risk, even if it's a family member. But I still think that doing so makes sense and is better than letting all that bitcoin disappear with us. At the end of the day, we work hard to make money and build up our asset for our family, not just for ourselves.

I have been doing this for a long time because life is unpredictable. I don't want something to happen to me and then my family has no way to access the Bitcoin I have saved for them.

To me, that's selfish, not being cautious.

Right now, no one in my family but I guess before it happens something to me (which is i dont want, i want to live more) I will let them know how does it basically navigate as long as one of them have a background how to navigate with computers is still I can guide them but if ever the unexpected thing happens even I died immediately I guess the bitcoin will died along with me because I havent create yet a navigation guide of how to access the wallet or even the funds.

Bro, if you're struggling in real life or you're facing some challenges. Don't say that you don't want to live more. I don't know what you're facing but, we have to continue with life. I've been there and thought of the same but, life goes on. I'm not sure yet as well if my family is going to be able to import what I've left for them. They only know things about gadgets but for some small details of technical aspect in wallets, I'm not sure if I've explained it well to them or they are concerned or listened. Anyway, they'll figure that out I guess.

Have you made any inheritance plan for your Bitcoin?
Personally I have passed two years, have inherited my Bitcoin assets to my family, they hold the keys and everything related to access to Bitcoin wallets or exchanges, In fact, they have now learned and started investing in Bitcoin little by little for the long term.

To inherit digital assets like Bitcoin, for the family I think it is important, I remember one of my parks who was still single, he at that time had 1 Bitcoin, he had an accident and died at the scene, because he did not inherit Bitcoin to his family or anyone else, until now the Bitcoin he owns is still stored on the exchange.
So, don't let that happen to us, there is at least one person who must know about the Bitcoin assets we own.

We make wills, and ensure our children, brothers or family members get access to our properties when you are no longer there, and if this is possible, I think entrusting your bitcoin security details should not be a difficult thing for us. Many investors have lost their bitcoin asset this way, because they become so secretive to their family members that they entirely lost their whole bitcoin. Portfolio when the are no longer their, and sometimes their could be need to keep your security details in several places so that, if the security details are not safe in your hands, it could be secured in the hand of your trusted person. But while deciding to make known your bitcoin security details by another person, avoid outsiders because giving it to outsiders could be detrimental to you.

If you are young and don’t fully trust any of your family members yet, it’s okay to wait for a while before educating them about your coins and how to access your wallet using your private key.

With this I believe family members should be the people you trust the most. After all who are we making money for? It’s for our family right? That’s why it’s wise for your spouse to know about your crypto holdings. If you are not married, then at least help your parents understand the basics so they can access your assets in case of an emergency.

I have also seen many people who have a strong bond with their siblings and trust them completely. In such cases, a sibling can also be a good choice. As for me, one of my close family members has access to my coins.

In my opinion, the protection of Bitcoin should not only be against hackers and thieves. It should also include ensuring that your family does not end up with unopenable wallet should something unexpected happen. The hard aspect is creating plan that will protect your Bitcoin today and let trusted individuals get it back later. It is likely that there is not one solution that works for everyone, so it is best to consider it before it is needed.

Have you made any inheritance plan for your Bitcoin?

If you want you have plan for your Bitcoin to be accessible sometimes in future, there is no way your security will not be compromise, there will always be a point of failure in your security. So it's either you leave it that way or make sure you spend your Bitcoin before you die. I'm the opinion person that everyone should buy Bitcoin and hold Bitcoin until they are ready to do what they want to do with their Bitcoin, but don't sell for stupid reasons or exit for unreasonable things.

Some people trust their family, their siblings or their wife to know where they locate their Bitcoin, it's their choice and I wouldn't interfere with their choice but if anything happen later, it's on them because trust is something that can be broken anytime. Human beings are not wired to work as zero and one, they can decide to do one, one the next day, this is why the idea of letting people access your storage is very bad but then again, no soul will live forever, so make your choice.

I have one close family member whom I trust completely. I'm confident that he would never betray me because of his values, principles, and the way he treats me. He knows where my written seed phrase is stored, so if something were to happen to me, he would be able to access it easily. I'm confident in him. Besides, he has substantial savings of his own, so he has absolutely no reason to steal from or take advantage of the people he loves and cares about.

If you trust someone, and you believe that he won’t betray you whenever you’re no more, it’s good to give him your secrets so that whenever you leave, he can be able to access it and give it to your family. But with many things that are going on, it’s very difficult to trust someone, since they can do anything because of money. And that is the reason why some people are scared to share their property with others. As for me, I would prefer to give it to my wife or mother that I trust, than giving it to a friend who is not really my blood, just a friend. Everyone knows who they believe and can keep everything about their property.

An inheritance is important by nature. Something important must be passed down, and the recipient of the inheritance cannot be just anyone—it must be someone significant in our lives. Heirs are those who will carry on the inheritance, whether physical or non-physical. Bitcoin is an important asset that exists in a non-physical form but constitutes a significant inheritance because of its value.
For those who are unmarried (do not have a spouse), the important people who meet that standard—in my case—are my parents. The parent who meets that standard is, as we know, typically the mother. It’s unthinkable to entrust it to someone who cannot be trusted.
