Then your device is heavily infected; you should try to clean your device first before anything else. If you are using a mobile or desktop, try running some diagnostics to see if you can spot where the malware is hiding.

Why would you use a computer then? Use a mobile device, preferably iOS. Infostealers do not work on iOS.

Also, look into formatting the computer device and installing SpyShelter. SpyShelter makes keylogging impossible. Spyshelter lets you control everything that runs on your computer.

Talking about cleaning. You should reflash that if its an android or reformat if its a desktop/laptop. That is the best way if youre going to use an infected device.

Relying solely on an AV scan or manually checking them isn't always enough. Some malware can evade detection or leave behind components that remain active. Imagine installing a new wallet, depositing funds, and then having them stolen again by the same malware.

If the device has previously been compromised, especially if it was used to store or access cryptocurrency, it's better to start with a clean system rather than take unnecessary risks.

Why I always recommend diagnosing before cleaning or taking any other action is because at least the person will have a clue about what is going on and know how to go about it next time in a new device or later format.

Let’s use it for instant; buying software from a local dealer close to the person without knowing that that software is pirated, the same software or OS being installed even on a new system still brings back that same old virus we have been long fighting to get rid of.

He did not say he is using a computer, but I get your point that Infostealer works most on Windows, but to a minimal level on Android and macOS while it is least on iOS.

Infostealer does not work iOS but that does not guarantee total safety, there are still some ways that malicious apps can steal information from iOS devices and also iOS is not completely resistant to malware.

I have Electrum wallet on Windows with some little sats, but nothing happened till today. Malware is preventable but if you have higher amount, cold wallet should be the preference.

I assumed so because I looked through his posting history. He’s been playing around with browser extensions, PDF books, and wallpapers... You name it.  Grin

And yes, I have been using Electrum for many, many years as well. Never had an issue. The device is not the problem usually / it's the person using it, and how it's being used.

You can do well to share your experience in order to get the best reply that suits your problem.

Hey! you can do better than regular one-line spam topics littering the forum, and from your post history, you're full of shitty topics which regularly ends up in either off-topic, Archival or even removed. You can do better. This is a discussion forum and not social media.

you can follow a guide like glacierprotocol.org and have your setup completely offline.
likewise, if you are able to get a device that can't go on the internet - new and will never go in internet - you have access to a safe bitcoin wallet/address generator - you can have all in place for build a safe address.
If you suspect a similar issue in your device it's just better to abide for these. There are more risks than benefit to use an old item.

IOS is not completely resistant to malware, it's getting less malware, close to none because it doesn't allow sideloading like Android does but there was news about SparkKitty infostealer that scan photo from gallery to look for seed phrase, https://cybersecuritynews.com/sparkkitty-malware-steals-crypto-wallet/ and it can infect both Android and IOS.

In IOS you're unlikely to get infected by infostealer but you're not 100% immune in this case. OP better off using dedicated hardware wallet.

recommend diagnosing before cleaning or taking any other action is because at least the person will have a clue about what is going on and know how to go about it next time in a new device or later format.

It is, and if its really an infostealer like mentioned by OP, reformatting the device is the 100% recommended while doing backups for important personal files, only after a deep scanning.

Why would you use a computer then? Use a mobile device, preferably iOS. Infostealers do not work on iOS.
No one is exempted, even linux as well.

Besides cleaning your device as suggested you'll also have to review your browsing habits that led to you being infected. There could already be a way you were targeted and your device could easily get infected again. Learn what exposed you to infostealer and eliminate that.
It's also recommended to get a different device that will be airgapped which will hold your private keys insulating you from the online world.

Before you buy Bitcoin, you must think where you want to keep it whether that is hardware wallet or other devices. You should make sure your devices are free from daily used because you don't make a transaction daily so that means your devices will be stored in your hidden place.

You can use your android phone if you can't buy hardware wallet. But hardware wallet is good choices to keep your Bitcoin. No need to feels paranoid with the infostealer news but you must be careful before decide.

Infostealer sounds like you are running a windows OS on a laptop or Computer, sorry about that,  why not format the system and reload windows OS or just abandon that crappy OS for Linux OS? Then start buying what you want?
Also I don't recommend you using computer to buy coins or even run a Bitcoin wallet on them because as you can see you got the likes of infor stealer on it right now, only God knows what else is on your PC right now.
A smartphone is better than a PC when it comes to trojans and viruses, also make sure you get a open source wallet like Electrum or Unstoppable on the smartphone, no trust wallet, and any custodial wallets should get on your phone.

I am curious to know how OP found that his device is infected with an infostealer, a spyware that is almost discreet and we can't notice them unless there are active sessions of multiple accounts in our browser, which we didn't intend to be.

It is a serious one, so just clean the OS before installing a wallet in it.

i keep getting hacked
The fact that you say this is recurring is most concerning part. Others are giving you final solutions but I think before you take any of those steps, you must first rethink the way you use computers. Educate yourself about basic security otherwise all these given solutions could end up being a temporary patch before you are "hacked" again.

i want to buy bitcoin but i keep getting hacked by infostealer
It's actually sad to know that your Bitcoin keeps getting stolen by infostealer, which is actually a malware design to secretly harvest your private information/data from your device, which is likely to be either a laptop or a mobile phone. So I will like to ask, which device do you keep noticing this? Because it is obvious your device has already been infested with virus and a malware that steals your information and likewise have access to your apps. And it's really heartbreaking to keep noticing this over and over again without a solution.
