On the recent news of immigrants massively assaulting the border with Spain in North Africa:
- This is an attack on Spain by Morocco.
- This is not the first time they use this tactic.
- It is sad that a country weaponizes economic immigration from their own citizens.
- It is perhaps even worse that the EU right wing is ok to attack their own allies on behalf of Israel and the US.
Note: It is not the first time the US tries to influence Spanish elections. They recently send to the Spanish judiciary a report on an ex-president - which does not seem to go anywhere.
It is very sad that some EU leaders are OK to attack their closes allies. Perhaps they think they would be better off if Trump does his will in the EU. Why do you think Trump hates the EU? Very simple: it is big enough to tell him go f** your self.
But this is true even in Spain. One of the main opposition leaders would put the blame in the government, rather than actually saying anything about Morocco:
“Sánchez allows Spain to be invaded through Ceuta,” Spanish conservative politician Isabel Díaz Ayuso wrote on X.

1) Ceuta an Melilla are not in Morocco. They are in Spain and are one of the many autonomous regions, with representation in the Spanish government institutions.
Despite being in the tip of North Africa, they are as much in Spain as Hawaii is a State of the US, Alaska or for that matter any of the Sates that were stolen from the French, The Spanish and the American Natives and are now US.
If anyone has any doubt, just go for a referendum, you will find how little appetite is there to be "part of Morocco".
Second, understanding what this is about: Israel.
Yes, this is about Trump, Israel and their ally Morocco. I understand this may come as a surprise to some.
The Spanish government has been in talks with Argelia - traditional enemy of Morocco, to create a gas line bypassing Morocco.
The Spanish government has been very vocal about the Israeli atrocities in Gaza and has a diplomatic conflict with the current Israeli government.
The Spanish government has been clear on not raising the military spending to 5% in NATO.
All this is contrary to the politics of the US.
It also happens that some governments in Europe are unhappy about having a Socialist government in Spain that speaks quite openly. Europe is not calling for anything, the right wing in Europe is trying to push their agenda. As far as I know, they would rather attack a fellow member country on their than defend the EU from the massive influence of US and Israel.
It is sad.
