Twente, which started the league with a loss, defeated PEC Zwolle 3-1 at home and earned its first point of the season. Although they fell behind early after conceding a goal in the 21st minute, it’s fair to say they controlled the game for the most part. After ending the first half tied 1-1, the home team really turned up the pressure and secured a 3-1 victory with two goals in the second half, earning three points. I would have expected Twente to win against Heerenveen in the first week as well, but despite playing better than their opponent and creating numerous scoring opportunities, they were unable to find the back of the net. At the very least, they could have secured a draw.

 NEC Nijmegen vs. Excelsior match scheduled for today has been postponed due to NEC Nijmegen's upcoming return leg against Bodø/Glimt.
If this decision was made well in advance, I respect it; however, if it was made after the result of the first leg, then it was a completely unnecessary move.

Who actually believes they will defeat Bodø/Glimt away from home?

I don't think even the NEC Nijmegen players believe it.
Bodø/Glimt will easily win the second leg as well.

I wonder how things will go for NEC in the Eredivisie this year. They had an amazing season last. Finishing ahead of teams like Ajax, AZ, Twente is an impressive work.

But it's very rare to see them in top 3 in this league. I doubt their consistency for now.

Feyenoord managed to beat Cambuur 5-2 away yesterday. PSV also won 5-1 against Groningen. AZ is currently the only team with 3 wins out of 3 and is leading the league. PSV and Feyenoord each have one draw and have 7 points. AZ may be leading now, but I expect them to drop out of the race later in the long season. I still expect a championship race between PSV and Feyenoord. Last year, PSV won very comfortably and there wasn't really a race. PSV declared themselves champions weeks in advance. However, I expect a more competitive league this year. I hope I'm not wrong and we enjoy the Dutch league as much as before. The Dutch league is generally known for its high-scoring matches.

With the performance that PSV displayed yesterday, I am very sure that they will win the league again. They've won 3 leagues titles consecutively, now they might add another one to it this season. Their supposed rival (Ajax ) has fallen off drastically. This was not the Ajax that used to dominate the Eredivisie every season. Now they are playing like a mid table teams.. They didn't even qualify to the UEFA champions league instead they are playing in the UEFA conference league qualification. They keep selling their top players eveytime, Instead of them to use the players build their team properly. When Groningen scored first,my mind keep telling me that PSV will still make a comeback. I don't think there's any team in the Eredivisie can match PSV currently, in terms of playing ability.

Groningen started well and after that goal they couldnt hold up. By halftime it was 3-1 and once second half started PSV pushed more and once it was 5-1 it was all over. PSV also missed a lot of chances more so could have ended a lot worst for Groningen. Still PSV is the main favorite to win the title like every year. After a first round draw they got two wins in row now.

PSV were making me doubtful about them after a bad start to the season first. You know the total defeat against AZ in the Johan Cruijff Schaal and the point loss on the 1st week of the league.

But shortly after that they have started making up for it. This big win over Groningen makes me more confident about them. I still can't unsee AZ's great effort though. They are likely to be a serious title contender this season.

I was almost forgetting about this thread. I followed the games and was surprised how many goals the big teams scored; it even seemed like both big teams were competing to see which one would score the most goals against their opponents.

Cambuur 2 - 5 Feyenoord

Honestly, this team could have at least managed to concede 3 goals, but they were very unlucky or lacked concentration. They scored an own goal and conceded a penalty. Although they scored 2 goals, which is positive, conceding 5 goals is not positive at all. They need to improve their defense. With this defeat, they have 3 consecutive losses and could be the main candidate for relegation. I hope I'm wrong.

I expected it to be a complicated game for PSV because Groningen, who had two consecutive wins before this game, were expected to cause problems for PSV. But what I saw was complete dominance by PSV and errors in Groningen's defense that led to a penalty and an own goal. Fortunately for Groningen, they remain in 5th place, but if Ajax wins their game, they could overtake Groningen, and Groningen would then be in 6th place, which isn't bad.

I hope we see a multi-team championship race. Because last year, PSV won the European championship most easily. They will also be in the Champions League this year and PSV has a young, high-quality squad. They are capable of winning the championship again in the Netherlands. AZ Alkmaar has started the league very well and I hope they continue like this. Because the competition in the Dutch league makes it even more enjoyable to watch.

But in this second round they seem to be putting in a fairly convincing performance. PSV is currently facing Excelsior who are playing at home. PSV quickly took the lead in this ongoing match in the fifth minute with a goal set up by Ruben van Bommel. Perhaps PSV is taking this match against Excelsior very seriously in order to earn more points. I personally predict that PSV will win this match by a margin of at least two goals given that they appear to be dominating the game against Excelsior. And I don't think PSV will let this great opportunity they've earned with that early goal slip away. What are your thoughts?

I will learn to avoid PSV for now because they are not the elite team we used to know. Such a poor start of the season comes with serious financial consequence for those who might have trusted them based on past performances. Their first match was a huge mess and this second match is not match different both in terms of their playing and the outcome of the match. The right thing is to avoid them now until they get to the peak of their form.

I understand the pain but I have come to learn that PSV can be unpredictable especially at the beginning of the system, when you bet them to win, they draw with am outrageous goal score like 2-2, the when you play them the over line, them play 1-0 and it's wild, but as we progress the season they will start turning up, even with huge score margins especially with Feyenoord and Ajax looking like they want to compete.

I think PSV will eventually deliver a performance close to their magnificent form from last year. They will be playing in the Champions League and also focusing on the Dutch league. Playing in two tournaments at once might tire the team, but with their young and strong squad, I believe PSV is a team capable of winning the Dutch league title again. Of course, there are times when they are on our side, but we must remember that it is still early in the season and the team is not yet fully ready.

Because PSV drew their first game this Fortuna Sittard, I lost my confidence in the team but seeing them win their last 2 games (1 away, 1 home) is increasing my confidence in the team so I might resume putting them on my bets moving forward. For that game against Groningen, I was thinking PSV will struggle a bit but I was surprised when I saw the score line that weekend.

So far so good, only AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord look like they can challenge PSV for the title. I will have to see how they will fare when they both meet PSV this season.

As expected, Feyenoord were too strong for Cambuur. In addition to Cambuur, which suffered 3 consecutive lose at the start of this season, ADO Den Haag also experienced the same fate. Cambuur, ADO Den Haag & Willem II are all teams promoted from the Eerste Divisie, they arrived in the Eredivisie with poor preparation.

Watching the match makes you want to place live bets. AZ took an early 1–0 lead, but GAE responded immediately to make it 1–1. It was impossible for GAE to withstand AZ's attacking power. AZ found another goal in the first half, heading into the break with a 2–1 lead.

Between the 50th and 60th minutes of the second half, AZ put immense pressure on the Eagles but couldn't find the goal they were looking for.
They scored the match's fourth goal in the 68th minute.
After the score reached 5–1, Go Ahead Eagles scored the most interesting goal of the match in stoppage time (90+3). Sigurdarson’s shot ricocheted off both goalposts—like a billiard ball—and fell right in front of goalkeeper De Busser; when he failed to control the ball, Suray scored the goal that sealed the final score (5–2).

AZ sits at the top of the league with four wins.
It is still too early to talk about the championship, but AZ is certainly one of the top contenders for the title.

Yesterday, AZ Alkmaar secured a decisive victory over Go Ahead. Today, PSV scored six goals in their away match against Utrecht.
In recent weeks, PSV, AZ Alkmaar, and Feyenoord have been treating their fans to high-scoring matches.
Looking at the standings, Go Ahead started the season well, but they are unlikely to maintain this position; they will likely slip to the middle of the table as the season progresses and find themselves in the bottom five by the end of the year.
Feyenoord seems a bit unlucky today; they finished the first half trailing 0–1 at home against Den Haag, despite dominating the game.
They should go on to win the match with goals in the second half.
It would be a surprise if Den Haag managed to take points away from this match.

You gotta love the eredivisie man, I checked the goal stats for all games starting from match-day 1 to match-day 4 and every single match had at least 2 goals. I don't watch all games, just a few selected ones like PSV, Ajax, Feyenoord ands sometimes, NEC. So there is no way I would have seen the AZ game. I think the Eredivisie is one of the best attacking leagues and as someone that likes offense more than defense, my interest align a lot with this league.

Ajax won 0-4 today, is it safe to say they are so back?

The biggest surprise for me today was the result of this game:

I confess that before this game started I expected Feyenoord to win because their opponent was coming off two consecutive defeats and it didn't seem like they could score many goals or cause problems. But I was shocked when, in the 12th minute, I saw Den Haag score and thought: "What's happening to Feyenoord?" So I watched the game to see if they would equalize, but again I was shocked by Den Haag's second goal in the 53rd minute. At that moment, I was only convinced that at most Feyenoord would manage a draw, not a victory in this game. That's what happened; losing points at home against an opponent that, on paper, was considered weak, must not have been a good day for the coach, players, and Feyenoord fans.

You gotta love the eredivisie man, I checked the goal stats for all games starting from match-day 1 to match-day 4 and every single match had at least 2 goals. I think the Eredivisie is one of the best attacking leagues and as someone that likes offense more than defense, my interest align a lot with this league.

For gamblers who likes using the option of over goals and BTTS, the Eredivisie and the Turkish super league are strong targets because those leagues matches produces a lot of goals, the Bundesliga is not also exempted. All the matches in the Eredivisie played over 2.5 goals this week and the matches that played today, all played over 3.5 goals. The only problem with the Eredivisie is that very soon the bookies will start publishing low odds for over goals.

Ajax won 0-4 today, is it safe to say they are so back?

It is possible that Ajax is back to their winning form, they have a match in hand of which of they win they will be in same points with PSV Eindhoven. AZ Alkmaar is at the top after winning their 4 matches, i don't trust their stay over there because Ajax or PSV Eindhoven might dethrone them soon.

I don't want to remember the first game because I paired PSV and combined it with one other team into a parlay so it was actually a double. If PSV had gone up 2-goals at any point in that game, I would have won that game but instead they only led by a single goal.

Nothing about that team shocks me anymore. They are the only top flight team that has some of the most inconsistent results. They would win an away game where you'd expect them to struggle at but go ahead to lose next game at home. Whenever I bet on Feyenoord, I tend to do so on their totals market.

I'm aware of this which is why I will try to exploit their easy goals market for now before the bookies put a cap on it. Its not just this season, based on my experience, The eredivisie has been one of highest scoring leagues in recent times.
