I really want to know how the government wants to achieve this in a country where most of the exchanges are not even registered in Nigeria neither do we have proper cryptocurrency regulation. I know that Tinubu is just being the tax collector that he is that is why they ate taxing everything and everyone including their proposal to tax fun givers. If the eventually implement this, I know many people will not be happy to pay these taxes and will be looking for how to avoid paying because most of those funds will be stolen.
People will tend to accept to pay tax only when they know and they're promised that this taxes will serve for the betterment of the country and also the revenue will be utilized in a good infrastructures of the country, it's just a matter of time before we can see and acknowledge what he government is doing. Enacting the crypto tax in Nigeria is definitely going to be challenging because most of this crypto exchanges operates outside of the country and the government have absolutely no control over it.
Crypto tax can be more diversing when we know the path to follow and become very advanced with the duties we're carrying out. We do know that without any legal framework or cooperation from external crypto exchanges, it means this tax enforcement is not going to function properly because we know Nigerians and what they're capable of doing.
