Because of quantum computers threat to bitcoin security.

I was thinking, he has been thinking about this before, but the recent Coldcard issue would have been what that initiated him to finally make up his mind.

But many people are buying the dip instead.

I think he makes a wrong decision. But it is his bitcoin, he can do whatever he likes to it.

If truly he was taking this decision because of the coldcard recent hack, then he's making a wrong decision and losing hope upon bitcoin network because of this incidence, this is not an attack that is targeted on bitcoin network but only on coldcard users, what he would have done is to transfer his fund from one wallet to another that is more secured, a good example is an electrum multisig wallet or any other wallet that make use of passphrase.

The coldcard vulnerability plus quantum threats is enough to shake someone with massive investment in Bitcoin, that is if we have to be honest to ourselves. Although the quantum threats may not really be a big issue since it could be solved via through the migration being proposed. But despite these issues, I don't think it is wise for any incestor to sell off his investmemt.

Why do we have care about Jim Cramer?

In many years, he talked many things, many times about Bitcoin and the market but his sayings are like reversal indicator in the market. If he says something bullish about Bitcoin, the market will be dumped days after that. If he says something bearish about Bitcoin, the market will recover, short squeeze, bottom out, start a bull run.

I don't know about this time and I am not sure that it is a bear market's bottom signal but without him, his saying and his selling (if he actually sells his coins), I know that there are many good months ahead for accumulating more bitcoin.

Good for him(Jim Cramer) when he bought his Bitcoin I wasn't consulted neither was anyone here reading this thread consulted or took part in contributing the funds used to purchase Bitcoin for him.
We probably are enabling Jim Cramer and other manipulate the market when ever they sell or plan to sell their Bitcoin by giving priority to the news in the first place.
It should not be news when they buy or when they sell. We can't enjoy the benefits of big companies and individuals buying Bitcoin and causing the market to surge and not expect the disadvantages that comes with when they sell or plan to sell.

I think his Bitcoin holding is worth less than $1 million based on the reports, so him selling it is not really a big deal for the market. That amount is very small compared to the overall Bitcoin market. Honestly, its probably better if he sells so people will stop treating him like a crypto guy whenever he talks about Bitcoin.

Maybe he could lose some crypto followers after that, but I dont think his sale will have any serious effect on the price.

This Coldcard hack would make lots of people make mistakes that they'll regret, I know lots of people would be scared that the security of Bitcoin is compromised but that's not it. I just hope he's blabbing and trying to influence people to sell like most of the big holders do well it's his choice, he's rich enough to buy back whenever he wants.
I hope no one here would fall for this and attempt selling cause someone like Jim Cramer intend emptying his portfolio, the regret would hurt so bad by the time Bitcoin reaches another all time high.

So this is the current FUD now?

If they want to sell or dump, thats on them. But on this topic about Jim Cramer, I know he is knowledgeable in investing since thats his livelihood. I think he also has a TV show, so whatever he says can still influence some people.

But why only “plan” to sell? Why not just sell it already. Then later when Bitcoin starts to pump again, maybe he will regret it and call himself stupid.

Why do we have care about Jim Cramer?

It's just for entertainment purposes.

The very article linked by the OP explains this. He has got his predictions so wrong so many times that an ETF was even created that tracked the opposite of what he said. But let’s not fall into the trap of thinking there’s a cause-and-effect relationship either. We know that what he says is worthless as a prediction, but even a broken analogue clock tells the correct time twice a day.

Amid the debate surrounding quantum computers, it was actually an AI, Claude, that caused an attack on self-custody and posed a problem for widespread P2P adoption.

Jim Cramer is an individual that does makes personal decisions for himself, wether sells his Bitcoin holdings or not isn't supposed to affect my own strategy.

Individuals and corporate institutions buy and sell Bitcoin for different reasons, so the speculation about one person's planned sell I don't think is necessary.

What should be concerning to me is to know wether the fundamentals of Bitcoin have changed or not and from what I know they've not changed.

The Coldcard incident should be something we learn from, not to see it as a reason to totally exit the market. A Bitcoiner should be able to carefully choose their wallets and be constantly updated on security.

I feel that it's too early for Jim Cramer to sell off his Bitcoin accumulation, that's if the fear of quantum computing is the major reason. Bitcoin developers aren't ignoring the future threats of quantum computing so I think the Bitcoin protocol will most likely evolve if the threat becomes imminent.

Again, the Coldcard issue was just a security problem with one wallet, it shouldn't be seen as a weakness in the entire Bitcoin network.

You would not blame him for his actions or plans on selling his Bitcoin. Every investor has the sole right to decide whatever they feel like doing with their assets. If he feels that the recent unfolding events which are possing as a threat to the Bitcoin blockchain are the reasons for his actions, then it is valid for him. But sometimes do you not think such scenario is just a way of them manipulating the market to cause a panic sell thereby causing a market price crash so they could buy more Bitcoin. This has been the strategy being used by the elites investors and it works perfectly well for them.

When big whales sell their stash it's generally a good thing because it creates wider adoption. Anything that spreads BTC distribution is a good thing.
Random public figures and their opinion are usually absolutely irrelevant to Bitcoin, but almost any headline is publicity and not a bad thing in my opinion.

I only know he likes to make (random) predictions and was wrong many times in the past. He is a media figure, not a tech-expert nor a market analyst. All he wants is attention.

But many people are buying the dip instead.

I think he makes a wrong decision. But it is his bitcoin, he can do whatever he likes to it.

I did not know when he bought bitcoin, why publicly announced that he is selling.

Bitcoin all time high in few year to come.
Exactly. Why bother yourself for what another person wants to do with his coins because the way I see it he's just trying to seek attention an cause more weak hands to panic and sell. When strategy sold off some Bitcoin, it affected the market, but it didn't crumble so it won't happen now. Cramer can sell or buy in secret, that's his effing business.

Because of quantum computers threat to bitcoin security.
Yes, I saw in several international media about Jim Cramer's statement regarding his plan to sell all his Bitcoin holdings, I also can't understand Cramer's next strategy and plans.

The point is that despite Cramer's strong reasons for quantum risk security, in Cramer's interview and announcement on CNBC, he once mentioned his investment beliefs in Bitcoin, Cramer knows that the price of Bitcoin during the next halving could reach twice the current price of $63k, he understands the situation, but his decision is the best decision for him regarding his own Bitcoin asset ownership, perhaps that is the best step to take.

With the recent developments in the crypto space about quantum and Coldcard on Bitcoin. For anyone who feels they want to sell their Bitcoin, the door is open for them. Bitcoin's growth and creating a new ATH won't stop because of them. Many people are already waiting to buy and accept Bitcoin as their store of value.

You are really taking Jim Crammer a serious person? Grin That menace has predicted Bitcoin wrongly than he would have buy Bitcoin and guess what? Anything he says, it's the opposite of what he says that end up happening. If he says that Bitcoin price is going up, know that Bitcoin price is about to make another move to the upside and if he says up, then know that we have hit another resistance and Bitcoin will dump, so with this news expect him to do nothing.

Like we are not giving this guys the attention they deserve well enough, Bitcoin hardware wallet was hacked which was reported to be firmware issues from the company but this is what he thinks is the best. Alright, let's assume that what he says is going to save him, what is he going to do in a situation if the exchange he buys shares and ETF exposed to this kind of problems in the future? Is that better than safe custody with a better wallet? His opinion is always like that of a kid.

Here's an except from the article.

Quote
Cramer’s public positions on Bitcoin have whipsawed dramatically over the years. He’s gone from calling it worthless to recommending it as a portfolio allocation, then back to skepticism, then bullish again during 2024 and 2025. Each reversal has, with eerie consistency, coincided with the market moving in the opposite direction of his call.

I understand his concerns about the quantum computer threat, but is Jim Cramer not really ashamed of himself? Over the years, his position on Bitcoin has been like a goalkeeper shifting goal posts. He's like a dog that goes back to eat its vomit. Man should just sell his Bitcoin and be done with it.
