Last month, people like John Bollinger, the man who created bollinger band predicted bitcoin price will increase and bitcoin increase but not so much.

That none of these predictions is any more valid than those that any of us with years of experience might make.

As for the price specifically, given that it has been trading sideways for so long within a range of between $59,000 and $70,000, I believe that if it breaks through the support level, we could well see it drop to $50,000 or lower. On the other hand, if it rises and breaks through $70,000, I don’t think that will mean we end up with a bullish year. We probably won’t break through $100,000 again until 2028.

I can still point to many Bitcoin predictions this year that turned out to be wrong. Some predicted Bitcoin would become bullish at certain price levels, while others were confident it would fall below $50,000. Those predictions failed not because the people making them were bad analysts, but because no one can truly master the market. Any experienced investor should understand that. Another reason someone would want to make such pointless predictions could be because of the recent wallet hack which many believe would have effect of bitcoin price, but it's baseless..

I only feel sorry for those who make decisions based on FUD created by these so called predictions. None of us knows exactly what will happen next but I'm still very optimistic about Bitcoin. Even a blind man can see that the price has been trying to form a bottom.This is the stage of the market where patience is most important. In my opinion.the best approach is to keep buying if it fits your investment plan not panic selling, which I believe will be a mistake.

Yeah, it's funny while it lasts. Well, not agreeing with his take, but predictions like these are so random these days, even if they give so much context about it. He could be right, or we could be wrong, or the other way around, but let's just say, respect that one for a moment. People really can be bored when prices aren't moving much, and I think it's still volatile.

There are so many factors that could affect Bitcoin's natural high volatility, which could hit anytime soon, and we could never know when it will be. Well, if you're in this industry long enough, that could be both good and a bad thing, but a believer surely will be passive and focus on the positivity, especially in the long run.

If there is another wallet that gets trashed fear is an issue.

Fear means crash.

So sure 43k is not a problem to happen.

But then again sideways could happen and the 57-82 slot moves on.

Or we go over 90k.

None of us know which of the three above occurs.

So plan for all three possibilities.

The whole article feels like an advertisement of this person and his venture capital firm. I'm very well aware Cointelegraph does such deals. The clickbait name was probably chosen by them, as they, as journalists, know their business.

Also I see too much emphasise on who he is, they list his past successful investments in crypto, his connections to big projects etc etc. It's like they are trying to justify him even appearing on there.
 
Whether he will be right or wrong - doesn't matter. His social media pages will gain followers and his VC firm's site will get some google searches.

In crypto, we have all sort of predictions available in the market. On one side, we have people who are predicting price on lower side while on other hand we have people who are predicting price on higher side. I have followed many predictions in the past and came to conclusion that its impossible to predict Bitcoin future and since then I never believe what famous personalities are saying about Bitcoin. If we look at price of Bitcoin for past weeks then its clear that Bitcoin price is holding its price tightly above $60,000 and it looks difficult that price will go down to $50,000.

My honest view is that Bitcoin is in limbo, by virtue, it's difficult to predict what it would do in the long run, unless more events unfold. Many medium and long-term predictions are getting conflicting now, which calls for caution. Nonetheless, looking into the broader picture, Bitcoin hasn't overcome the bearish hurdle, it's just trying to fight it, which still makes some insane bearish pressures possible.

A lot of people out there want to call the price of the bottom now that we're dragging along it.  Pathetic in my opinion, but I guess the talking heads have to pretend they know what they're talking about.

I just want to mention that I was telling people we were headed to sub $60K when we were still at $117K and you could actually profit from the information.  At this point, if you're sitting on gains you can't even buy back the coins you sell after taxes.  It is far too late to be talking about selling before bottoms or to panic now.  You'll only regret it when we shift gears in Q4 and you're left behind.

Normalize caring about people's opinions that have them when they are useful, not when they will cost you money for listening to them.

This is very true, but in the long run, bitcoin price will get to all time high and remain as a store of value. That is what everybody knows but I still understood what you are passing across. What you mean is that nobody can know what will be the bottom. The bottom can take a long period of time before it finally appears just like this bear season started many months ago.

If I should make my own prediction, I do not think bitcoin will get that low.

Those who get it right sometimes are just lucky, and that is all. It is not a direction that most of us can expect Bitcoin to follow; it always ends up doing something different.before the Bitcoin halving, many people predicted that the new Bitcoin all time high was going to be $150k or more before we experienced another bear market. But look at what happened. There was an information I saw on X formally called Twitter this morning which said Trump media moved out a large amount of Bitcoin worth about $165M to crypto.com, probably to sale it, I don't know and I also saw another update that says Strategy still intend to sale some Bitcoin and then another news of one company that wants to sell. So, it actually seems like a lot of sale is going on or might happen soon, following the recent hacks which I guess created fear in some investors, it's possible that this might cause price to dip below the $50k, it's just a prediction and we know that not all prediction usually comes true, so it's possible that price might not also go that low.

We in general shouldnt be so sure of ourselves that the market couldnt fall to $43k as in the OP.

Even though the market has regained its mid $60k mark after very recent events like the Coldcard
issue and the 'uncertainty' surrounding Microstrategy and its buy/sell plans for its Bitcoin - we
should be mindful that continuing negative issues and events could push the market down fear
mounts. Its not accurate to say that the market will definitely head that way though.

But as per the thread title there really is no need to apologise because a lot of us would definitely
be taking advantage of such a price point.

There is a reason why Bitcoin price prediction are never certain, I mean everyone is open to speculate on the price but there is no way that anyone can be confident enough to actually guarantee you that the price is gonna be fixed at a particular figure . For this reason alone, I don't really take prediction from people that serious, because we are all just observers of the price and due to certain events the price might shift in the favor of our speculation or go against it.

Bitcoin has stooped been volatile like it has always been in the past but that doesn’t mean that bitcoin may not reach below $50,000. It may as well just be a little touch and then it bounces back up with great momentum as a resistance level could be there to make it react in that manner quickly.

I have stopped having strong conviction about the price movement of bitcoin for a while now, it gets getting even more unpredictable which makes it behave like an asset that cannot be assured of a particular trend it is headed for, even with all stats to make it trend in that direction.

A rapid fall in the market could make bitcoin reach some unexpected levels, but I know they will bounce back most definitely. $50K is looking like a realistic level that bitcoin can reach or even go below a bit, so he may have a point here but I’m not sure we will see it reach that low of $43,500.

After the recent ColdCard attack and theft of so many bitcoins, I would say anything is possible, not based on that incident alone, but the manipulations that are going to take place around it and using this incident as their main point in manipulating people into selling and that can cause a sharp drop in the price, in my opinion. Whales know that they are sitting on a lot of funds that they can throw around, and if they find an opportunity like this where they can do some manipulation not with their money but only with words and fake actions, they are surely going to use that opportunity or at least try their best to make it work in their favour.

A lot of people will come out and say that they are going to sell their bitcoins because they don't feel their assets are safe anymore, not because they actually think this way, but only because they want to spread FUD and make retail investors do the same, so that the price drops and they can buy more at a cheaper price, because they know that the world is not just going to abandon Bitcoin just for this Coldcard attack, but temporary fear can be used to gain some advantage.

Figures talking about the price of bitcoin will have many views from other figures to others, always contradicting their predictions made on their own news or social media shows.

It doesn't really matter if bitcoin will drop below $50,000 or higher... it's simple that they should be able to buy at low times if they are confident in bitcoin and its future.

But still people always have their own calculations of what to do including Bitcoin predictions or how to buy it, but the price is now long sideways, in August the Bitcoin price prediction is more likely to go down than up, let's prove it at the end of the month.

Bitcoin is has been hovering around $63K to $64K recently and had traded the least $58K since the historical price record when Bitcoin acquired an ATH of $126K.

That low and top margin was over 54% and at that high peak, no one expected Bitcoin will fall below 50% but our state of emotional tolerance had been taken control off, it is like we have grown matured to face the bottom and so, 60%-70% lost does not seem strange because in the recent price slash in 2021 and 2022, Bitcoin price felt down to 77% .

So I think $43K is still possible.
