I think Infantino have been a good FIFA President, I don’t really know what is all about the news of selling shares in FIFA to a private company, I think he means good for FIFA he should have tried to seek out opinions of other federations before deciding to sell that shares, I think this was the wrong decision he has taken, prior before that decision his been doing absolutely well with FIFA his made some tremendous Changes with FIFA.

There was an emergency meeting between FIFA officials yesterday, so far we don’t know the outcome of the meeting, right now I don’t know if he is going to complete his tenure, I believe he is seeking for reelection and others are also calling for him to resign, I don’t know who is going to be the next FIFA president, because there is still a President there and he might continue, Let’s hope everything is resolved soon.

Such a position should never be occupied by a corrupt person. When he can in as the president of Fifa, he was doing just fine, but with time he starting changing by pursuing more money and trying to use the Fifa presidency position to enrich himself.

First he broke the rules of football, just to make Donald Trump a politician happy, secondly, he tried to sell the tv right of Fifa world cup that would make him have a percentage of money being paid to him for life, even when he has left the Fifa presidency position, that's is enough reason for him to go, because at this point he is no longer interested in the sport, but he is more concerned on what he wants to use the position to achieve financially.

He has been president of FIFA for 10 years, I dont think he will leave this position easily. Due to corruption, I think has made enough rich and powerful friends that will help him stay for as long as he wants. Precedencies were on president position for +15 years and I think we should count that Infantino will also be in charge for that long.

The FIFA president is paying the price for dealing with the wrong people. He was motivated to turn FIFA into a business owned by his friends. Football doesn't need someone like him as president because he would destroy the beautiful game.

If not that we can't be going back and forth in all that happened during the just concluded world, I will say that Infantino is a disgrace, this world was one of the worst that I have seen, it was poorly organized, it was as if Infantino was not in charge perhaps because of the bags that was given to him who knows, his body language was clear that something was not right, I think you're right that people like him are big supposed to be in that kind of position so that they make look ordinary because of their quest for money, the FIFA I know does not take any shit from anyone but we saw all the drama that took place before the world cup started, I don't think that Gianni Infantino is fit for that position, talk of being reelected again.

Well, the outcome of the meeting is now public. We don't know what's going on behind the scene but Infantino might be a good president despite the criticism he's facing now. From what's available from yesterday's meeting, the internal board members still reaffirm their support for him. Infantino admits his mistake and offered an apology on behalf of FIFA and officially withdrawn their earlier proposal. link

You're right, everything politics touches gets corrupted, everything. Politicians will say that's not the case, that politicians are there to improve things, but no, they're there to worsen and corrupt everything. Having a new president will put a stop to Infantino's crazy ideas about selling off or trying to privatize football events, favoritism, and corruption. When they talk to me about referees and the FIFA president, I see them as thieves and corrupt. The incoming president should be audited every month and prioritize technology over human refereeing in matches.

The decision he took to sell shares in the private sector was a fool's errand for him. He understood the foolishness of that decision and backed down from it in the face of strong opposition. The level of criticism he has received over this issue no longer has any credibility and he should have resigned. His term ends in March next year, and if he had resigned before that, there would have been less criticism of him because as long as he is in office, there will be more controversy and pressure on him over his past controversial decisions.

Some of the things that were done in the 2026 World Cup were unacceptable, for example, what Gianni and Trump did with the whole Balogun fiasco, the advertisement break, disguised as a cooling break, and a lot more. Despite facing criticism from most people, Gianni Infantino still remains FIFA President until Dec 31st. Probably he will exceed Dec 31st IMO.

There are two ways Gianni Infantino can be removed from seat. It is by resignation or the 211 FIFA member associations vote to remove him as president. However, I don't see it happening this year.

But what could really cost him his position? If I didn't get thing wrong anywhere, the FIFA still functions as a one country one vote operation and as long as there are more countries that have an interest in Infantino remaining FIFA president, how would they get rid of him? This is most likely the reason why he wants to expand the next World Cup once again and that guarantees him more votes from more countries. I just figured that I don't really understand how the FIFA is competing with those associations, but the FIFA election is done by a majority vote and if the UEFA and some of those other associations don't have serious leverage over those smaller countries that are dependent on financial support, how would they organize a majority against Infantino?

Infantino has never given a damn about criticism and whether Figo tells him to stop down or not, I don't see how that would make Infantino resign yet.

Infantino is the man. He continued the legacy of corruption that has been the trend in the last few years very well and even exceeded the expectations. He bowed to some of the worst regimes in the world and personally enriched himself and his cronies very much from it.

The football organizations of other countries around the world, including UEFA, came together and strongly criticized the sale of FIFA shares. I think FIFA President Infantino, under pressure from the US powers, showed a positive attitude towards such decisions and went too close to the decision-making process. The concerted efforts of other countries around the world forced him to back down from the privatization decision. After that, he lost the morals of his own FIFA presidency.

Just take a look at caf president, Patrice motsepe of South Africa,  just because Morocco is the host nation in the just concluded afcon tournament earlier this year, he did everything in his power just for Morocco to win, but he failed woefully, is that someone you think is better than this current Fifa president?

Unseating the current FIFA president Gianni infantino is not going to be an easy ride for anyone in the game. The level of corruption in FIFA is a serious factor and no matter who he contests with, he is likely to win. Since the recent world cup, it became more obvious that he doesn't deserve a 4th term in the office but then, he already has Trump's backing (which could be the reason for the Balogun's saga) and would likely win again. I read in a place that about 200 FIFA members have already endorsed him for the next term. I don't also see him as someone that can resign before the election, so we will likely be forced to accept his leadership for the next term.
