This is not going any long way, after a few time you will not hear about the lawsuit anywhere...reason been that Donald Trump is the incumbent president, every other persons in government position is seated under his control, even though two democrate senators rise against him, they're more than 5 more that will give him a support...So he can do everything with his immunity to struck the suit out of the way, if it will ridicule his political carrier...

It is all politics. This lawsuit is going no way. If it was raised by those who felt they were scammed it would have even makes more sense to me but anything which comes from politicians is done for political reasons just to drag trumps family for a bit. At first the Trump coin is a meme coin and just like other coins, it was expected to pump and dump naturally, what Trump did was to actually take advantage of the speculation and I think it is what most big banks and other brokers do in a normal forex, so in terms of the judicial system, I don’t know how it will be interpreted because he did not force anybody to invest in the meme coin and there are people who actually benefited from it, those who were smart enough to make early decisions by withdrawing their funds, benefited immensely, so you won’t say the project was completely a scam.

Most likely it is just a show.

They have to wait until Trump ends his term before they can be serious with it.

Because he's got the influence for these kinds of investigations even if it's the senate of the US.

But giving that benefit of the doubt and let's hope that there's a direction on this investigation and guilty ones should be punished.

I don't really know the strength of the these lawsuits because Trump has expressed his opinion before now that he is not the one that created the Trump memecoin and the idea and the management of the memecoins is from his children.

These people can not hold Trump accountable for this since he had clarified the air probably years when he became the president of the United States. Maybe more lawsuits will surface soon but the crashing of the memecoin should be from Trump family after they decided to sell their holdings while dumping the project for no reason. These people are only after making money and do not care about the consequences it will cause to the holders of the token.

That $TRUMP coin crash was brutal. People lost millions, and it was a classic rug pull!! no two ways about it. The way it pumped and dumped, with insiders making bank while regular buyers got wiped out, is exactly what people warn about with these meme coins An investigation should happen. Politically, yes it's going to be political, but I think this type of investigation will have more influence after Trump's tenure has ended, and he's no longer the president of the country. Currently, a lot could be sidelined since he's a sitting president. That's just what I thought.

As investors, we can call TRUMP or MELANIA scam. But legally speaking, that does not make them scams. If they are scam and deserve to be punished, then millions of other meme and shitcois would have to be investigated too. Or we might as well investigate the entire crypto industry.

I don't like Trump, but we need to be fair. I think it is unethical for the Trump family to launch token while he is the president. But that doesnt automatically make it a scam in the legal sense.

The other millions memecoins and shitcoins don't usually allocate 80% supply reserved to creator/team/insider wallet though, other meme coin are built through bonding curve and have 100% supply coin unlocked. The wallets which received 80% of allocation consistently sending the memecoin to CEXs totaling tens of millions from on chain forensic. I'm willing to bet that if there is any investigation, it will be about the consistent selling from the wallets that received 80% allocation, but the meme coin deployer will defend themselves by saying it's a collectible.

I disagree with this opinion, because the Overton Window is already open. Trump will be under pressure, but after his presidential term ends, someone else will take over and do the same thing.

Investigations into Trump's meme coin and alleged market manipulation are almost inevitable, and they could even move to impeach him if they regain control of the House. However, it probably wont go anywhere, just like the 2 previous impeachment attempt during his first term. Any effort to remove Trump from office would still be blocked in the Senate, which is currently controlled by Republicans.
