Although,  i don’t think gamblers will really consider adding such to be part of their calculation especially when it eventually contributes as another loss after another round of gambling, it automatically gets tracked btw, if it end up adding extra profit .. But it’s worth tracking everything just like a normal deposit.

I don’t get that much bonuses from Casino and I don’t track any of those..
The thing is that at times, the treatment of other prizes is disregarded because the wagering requirements are very high, and prior to getting them, the player must have a high wager. The complicated rules that the manager sets makes the promotional worth useless until money is received to the account. But it is still important to note all the deposits appropriately to have a proper personal financial account of expenditure so that the percentage of the loss is not hid under the pretence of a temporary inflated balance.

I prefer to check for my actual winnings and losses, anything that came from rakebacks don't count because at the end of the day I would have lost that money if it wasn't given back to me so while I might have gotten it back that bet was still a loss and I count it as one, this way I don't give myself any false hope that I won when I actually lost. Different things work for different people though so others can just count it all as winnings.

Why should we not include something that can be counted as money not lost for us when I am judging my losses against my wins for me as it gives me reason if I'm still going to continue gambling or stop for the day. I count every money that I do not loss only as my gain when gambling, as you should already know how difficult it is to win this days that is why anything that gives me profits is seen as a win.

Maybe in the past I would not have reason it but that is not going to be what I do now for the rakebacks, while I will do this, I would not put all my hopes of it happening often which is getting the rakebacks as that will take my mind off actually winning some bets and that is why I keep an open mind towards something like this. The more I gambling, the more I look for every opportunity to take money off the casinos because of how much I have lost to them but I don't do revenge gambling as l already know how that is going to end.
As long as the bonuses are withdrawable, or I have met the conditions neccessary to withdraw the bonus or the profit on the bonus given, i will include it in my calculations. But where I am unable to withdraw the bonus, that will not be added to my calculation. Rakebacks by all means is supposed to be added. That is my money returned to me, it has helped to reduce my total loss, so it is supposed to be added without much argument..
However, those who think that excluding bonuses and rakebacks give them a better picture of their losses can go ahead to do their tracking the way they prefer it, no one is stopping anyone here.

If i'm going back to track all my betting progress again, I might as well include the amount so I know how my final balance got to that point. Tracking mainly wins and losses, could be convenient, but that could give you a headache when your units don't match up with your balance.

In my last betting tracker, I didn't track my bonuses. I was only listing the results since I was participating in one of those betting contests and it's unnecessary when I need to stick with our assigned bankrolls.

A quick one. For those who like the idea of tracking their gambling performances, that is their losses and wins. Do you only focus on your losses and wins alone, or do you also track your rakebacks and Bonuses?
Is this really a thing?

For those who are serious to the point of gathering their performances together through evaluation, I believe, they would be serious enough to also know the right thing to add in the process to make it worthwhile. Rakeback, bonuses, etc are inconsequential in this regard. Besides, rakeback is too tiny to be taken seriously.

I only track the net of earnings or losses when I play on a long gambling session. I include bonuses into it along with the rakeback that I earn after each gambling session. Though I only do this on each long gambling session. For context, I play on different casinos and there is a casino where I use on long gambling session and a certain casinos where I only play quickie plays.

Analyzing data's on your gambling sessions can be really taxing mentally, given that there are times that I'm on a loss that's why I only do it on long sessions.

For example, your total losses for the month is $1000 and you somehow manage to get $150 back as your rakeback, would your say your total net loss is $850 or would you prefer to set your rakeback aside?

I used to do this when I played poker; it was pretty common. I remember when the SuperNova program offered good benefits on PokerStars—there were people chasing it because, even if they broke even at the tables, they were making a lot of profit from the rakeback by playing more hands. If you play a game that turns a profit, what you win and the rakeback are two components of that profit. It’s like buying a stock that pays dividends—you have to consider not only the dividend paid but also the stock’s appreciation to calculate the total return.

The calculation I keep in gambling is that I basically calculate the number of times I enter the gambling game per week at the end of the week. If I face a loss, I calculate how many dollars I have lost from my total capital, and if I have a profit, I calculate the benefit from my total capital. Because if I don't keep this calculation, I will not get an account for my gambling later, so accounting is very important in gambling.
Because if I lose money in gambling, I will subtract the loss from my total capital including the bonus, this is how I have been calculating since the beginning of gambling.

I only track my wins and loses , because I'm not a party to those bonus,I do not even use them most times,so I don't really bother much about it ,my concern and concentration is always on how much I have lost and my winning,if I'm progressing or I'm on the losing side ,so I can know how to adjust my gambling habit, but channeling my focus on bounse or Rakeback is totally out of it ,such record helps in one managing there bankroll.

I believe you're doing the right thing by using your actual gambling experience, not bonuses. But that's why I still consider rakeback with my overall results as it is real money that will eventually turn back to my bankroll. Even if it's not a direct result of winning bets. It helps to lower my losses over time. However I never let the idea of rakeback sway my sense of gambling or the amount of money I would like to risk. It's something I consider a minor extra reward. And my primary focus is on my bankroll and profits/losses.
Although everyone has a way of doing things ,in your own way it may be the best ,just that loses are always more than wins,so even the bonus some may not even win anything out of it,that is why I myself don't include it ,but some are also lucky to win with the bonus so including it won't be bad after all, because of the risk involved in betting, I concentrate more on my bankroll in order not to go over board and which I don't bother including bonus when tracking my loses and win .

Yes, I think rakebacks and bonuses should be taken into account too. My rakebacks are usually much lower than $150 because I only gamble with what I can afford to lose and I’m not a rich person, but if it were $150, I would definitely take that into account. Bonuses are another story. I often win significant amounts thanks to various bonuses, so, for example, if I lost $100 during a month and won $80 because of the bonuses, I would think of it as losing $20.

So what happens if you get to flick that bonus into something huge, will you also consider it that way? During my university days i was fortunate to see myself do that. In my opinion, I will consider that as capital.
Keeping track of your loses and wins will see your organised overtime, you will always want to watch yourself so as not to overspend. Regardless of your loses and gains, it is mandatory I keep tracking how I have splurged in a week or month.
I’ve to understand that gamblers who worry or fear about overspending in gambling are those who either do not have a working budget or set limits when they gamble, or finds it difficult or impossible to stick to their budgets, that’s literally when you’ll fear or question whether you’re actually still within a reasonable budget deficit or you’ve gone or probably going out of line. But for someone who already have a budget, you already know how much is going into gambling every day/week/month/year and thus wouldn’t really have much need to calculate or wonder if you’re still in line.
This is actually the stage that I'm in right now, I have a month budget that I don't cut down or increase and it's been working really well for me. But I disagree that having a day/week/monthly/year would make you care less about checking or calculating results. And here is why I disagree. Your initial deposit amount can be different from your overall betting amount, I don't know if that made sense to you? After we make a deposit and start gambling, chances are that we might win and sometimes we tend to try to use that win to gamble more depending on the emotional choice of the gambler. with this said our gambling result is supposed to be a large combination of wins and losses which is very likely to be different from what we deposit or withdraw.

For example, your total losses for the month is $1000 and you somehow manage to get $150 back as your rakeback, would your say your total net loss is $850 or would you prefer to set your rakeback aside?
Mathematical, isn't that correct? I mean, that's the most logical thing to do, right? If you'll want to keep track of your gambling performance, are you segregating it, as in records of your lost games are separate from the ones you won, then you say 5 bets won, 10 bets lost?

Unless you're doing the above mentioned, it's a no-brainer to record the net loss/ gain, and from the example you gave, you're definitely talking about the net loss/ gain of your bet outcome.

~snip
The net loss can't be $850 if we apply basic mathematics. The net loss is a $1000. If rakeback is instant cash that can be withdrawn anytime, I will think otherwise.
Are you sure rakebacks can't be withdrawn? From what I know, you can withdraw your rakebacks without restriction in most casinos.

It's like getting a welcome bonus and calling it a win, this is jymy personal choice so I'm not exactly against what ever opinion other people have, you can decide to treat your rakebacks and bonuses like winnings  and you wouldn't be wrong to do that but it's just not something that I myself will do, I would rather keep my winnings to my actual winnings, if I lost a bet then I would know that I lost that bet, getting my stake or some of it back doesn't mean that I won.

I agree with you, and I believe it will be largely dependent on the goal of the record you are trying to maintain. When you're just keeping a tally of every penny you wager and every penny you lose, then having rakeback makes sense as it is real money that moves down your side. But when you're looking at your betting record, I would rather you make that distinction between the two. A bad bet is a bad bet, no matter how much the particular bettor gets back as a percentage from rakeback or in a promotion. Separating those numbers won't hurt if you want to see just how well you're wagering, but it will also help boost your end-of-the-bankroll. That method is sure to trick you, but it's also a good way to appreciate the benefits of casino rewards.

A quick one. For those who like the idea of tracking their gambling performances, that is their losses and wins. Do you only focus on your losses and wins alone, or do you also track your rakebacks and Bonuses?

For example, your total losses for the month is $1000 and you somehow manage to get $150 back as your rakeback, would your say your total net loss is $850 or would you prefer to set your rakeback aside?

In gambling, most of the time, profit and loss accounts are kept, but most of the time, the rakeback and bonus accounts are not kept. That is, the loss and profit account is the most attention, but the bonus is not kept. If a bonus is received in a week and there is a loss, then the amount of that bonus is calculated and the loss is not calculated. If you lose $1000 and get a $150 bonus, then there will be a loss of $850, but no one calculates the $150 bonus in this way, but instead, they keep the $1000 loss. Keeping the rakeback account separate is more preferable to me, this account does not seem very useful to me along with the profit and loss. Moreover, according to my knowledge, most people think that only the profit and loss account is more effective.

I don't add rake back to my total loss because I see rake back as compensation. So, if you cannot withdraw your rake back because you gamble and lost it, you have only lost $1000. This is why I don't add rake back to my losses. It's if you're able to withdraw it, that's when you can subtract it from your losses.

For someone tracking PnL, I believe including rakeback and other bonus should be included since it’s part of the RTP which casino offering due to the house edge you are taking on every bet.

I don’t track my PnL anymore but I always consider counting my bonus to absorb part of my losses or add to my profit.

I called a bonus for me because it’s not part on our initial game result so we are not fully aware on it while actively gambling.

I personally keep track of gambling profits and losses but not for long. In my opinion, losses should not be kept mind in gambling because it creates a desire to recover money lost. And gambling destroys the fun mentality. Because this has happened to me several times. So it is better to try to forget the amount of loss quickly.

However, it may not be the right decision to associate rakeback with losses. Because it's nice to get some dollar rakebacks after losing your fund. But don't mark it as principal. because i think a total loss. But bonus is comparable to profit and can be counted as profit because bonus is a part of profit.

When it is credited into wallet balance not as a bonus amount, then it is wise to add the rakeback into the calculation of your net profit/loss. I don't calculate any numbers in casino; I just know the opening balance of my casino, and when it gets low I will go all in or withdraw everything, and the next day start with a clean slate, assuming no one owes me anything and I owe nothing to anyone.

The thing about rakeback at traditional casinos is that it depends on your rank or VIP level; in poker, it is actually fundamental—rakeback saves you from ending the month in the red. That is precisely its purpose; in a way, rakeback is a tool that helps keep you close to the break-even point or simply allows you to turn a profit.

It is not necessary to include the rakeback bonus over what we have achieved in gambling after considering some of the conditions to whatever applies to us, Rakeback is nothing worth it because it does not amount to a substantial rate we can consider to such extent, all gamblers are even eligible or do focus on Rakeback bonus, so this shouldn't be aligned together or included as part of our money used for gambling.
