Why aren't we betting on women's AFCON?

So lately I've been gotten fed contents about the women's AFCON and honestly it's quite intriguing I must say plus the most intriguing part of it is the Nigerian women's team they've literally dominated the competition for over a decade now. Anyways I'm surprised why the games barely get spoken of.

There's literally been 13 AFCON games I think and they've won the tournament 10 times that's just beyond crazy. I never had any idea of these statistics until lately. Isn't such kinda teams worth betting more on or is it that casinos barely offer them on the sports list?

Women football are generally difficult for me to predict.  There was a time I was playing mainly Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munic and Chelsea women in their respective leagues but the results were not consistent, some weeks they some of the teams will score so many goals but when you want them to repeat similar result, they will end in goalless draw or scoring less than over 1.5. The ongoing Women's AFCON is not even too popular, I have not watched a single match even those involving my country. So, I don't think I will bet on any of the matches.

This must be the main reason why bets aren't popular for this category of sports betting. Even though most people aren't interested in watching the games, there should be still opportunity for gamblers to make predictions, but since you mentioned performance of the teams is too unstable, it's likely gamblers don't consider it to be an opportunity to place bets at all.

Let's not get started with German teams lol.... I don't think I've literally had failed bets with them. Anyways to save stress and over thinking it will be better to just bet on stronger teams only. I haven't even tried to surf and see how odds are distributed in AFCON because sometimes it's a huge contribution to turn up.

Agreed... Generally women's football don't even generate up to 1/5th the revenue men's football generate so that already gives an estimate on how intense media coverage would be and how saturated the audience is.

It is because women leagues are not popular like men leagues. I do now even know that there is ongoing women AFCON. I do not know much about it so I am not betting on it.

I guess the ods for Nigerian women may be very low. I will check Stake to know if they I can see it there. But there is not guarantee that I will bet on the tournament if the odds are not favorable.

It's not a secret that people are less likely to bet on events that they're not familiar with. The most fun in sports betting is to use your own knowledge and analysis to have the edge over the bookies or other bettors. If the odds given are the issue here, then you just have to avoid betting on the Nigerian team since they have the highest winning and anything that takes them to the final you avoid betting on them, or better still for those who like to explore other options things like correct score, corner and card will give you more higher odds than straight wins.

Generally, women's football is not discussed often even in the media, they talk less about women's football because it doesn't get much attention from football lovers as the men's tournaments do have.

The main issue, in my opinion, is how our society was constructed to prioritize male sports tournaments over female athletes. Due to less widespread promotion and historical data models, the majority of bookmakers provide fewer irregular betting options for women's tournaments. Which lead to some people hardly knowing when the women's competition is taking place.

I'll speak for myself, i like to gamble on what i have knowledge about. I know that all i need to do is spend some time checking the teams out, based on their past history, head to head stats, etc, but i hate extensive analysis before betting. So, since i do not watch women's football, there is no way i am putting my money on the line in their games, many of us had no clue this tournament was even on, lol.

The Premier League is close now, so i'd just wait, i've not done much gambling since the end of last season.

I believe women sports are just not popular in the majority of sports and here in my country.
For example, I wanted to see if I was able to bet on a recent woman football match between Venezuela and Dominican Republic some days ago, I took a look at markets and I could not find any open market for me to bet my money, which I found a little bit strange.

The Nigerian women are the champions of the tournament, they have won it 10 times. The last one was very crazy against Morocco. They were 2 goals down in the first 45 minutes but turned the game around by scoring three goals. Their performance in the first game was very poor as they lost against Malawi, but they won their last match against Zambia. They are now leading in their game against Egypt with two goals in the first half.

Maybe we need to ask that more people watch the woman games, the Wafcon has started but my Former school inter house sport is more watched than it, there was a video of a girl who claimed not even up to fifty people were in attendance from a match in the Wafcon competition, the interest on women football is low and more increasingly seen in African women's competition.

Besides the small interest The odds on Nigeria is low, and other worthy of staking are small, besides aside that Nigeria has dominated African women's football many people don't know much about other teams and what to place on them.

It's the same with other team sports that are for women.
There's also the WNBA which is the NBA version for women but I don't see more bettors talking about it.
So, it's about the interest that we have for it. Not belittling these leagues but we need to be accustomed to it before we bet.

Now, how do you expect people to bet on a tournament that is predominantly dominated by one team, it's kinda boring to watch and moreover, the odds that are being giving to the stronger teams are extremely too low to bet on. For example, in the match between South Africa versus Nigeria, the favourite odd was given to Nigeria which is about 1.04 odd, how do you expect people to bet on that?

The odds set up by bookmakers on women football is just crazy, I do follow up women football every now and then, I mean both club football and on the international stage and the odds are not always encouraging especially if any team has a good reputation of winning matches, they fix the odd so low that it literally discourage you to bet on them.

Teams like, Wolfsburg women, Arsenal women, USA women and many more always get small odds that literally makes you don't want to bet on them.

As for the current AFCON competition, Nigeria women are given a odd of 1.04 against Egypt which is just not encouraging at all to bet on, I mean what market would you play to get atleast tangible odd to bet odd.

The numbers of wins that a team has shouldn't be what should make folks to just to just bet blindly on.. Football is almost unpredictable.. Which means that what happened in the past may likely not even repeat itself in the future, and so it is very much possible that the Nigeria women don't even win the trophy this time around..And in the case of the Nigeria women team dominating the AFCON, that could very much affect and reduce the odds unless you are combining the game with various other selections...And to be honest I just recently knew that AFCON is currently going on, this is due to lack of adequate Media coverage as that of the men... No viewing center in my area even streamed the match all viewing center are locked waiting for the men game...Even on my TV it will be extremely difficult for you to see the live match streamed on TV stations...

You're raising a valid concern, we barely talk about the woman's AFCOM tournament, apart from that, bettors even hardly bet on women's football Leagues, let alone the women's AFCOM tournament.

The Nigerian woman football team, the Super Falcons is really making us proud, they first won the trophy in the year 1991 and the last time they won the trophy was in 2018, I truly wish for them to win it again this time.
