Why aren't we betting on women's AFCON?

Personally i feel more advertisement should be done regarding female football in general, if you observe most matches played during this women’s AFCON you will notice that most of the stadium seats are empty, people barely come out to the stadium to watch the matches as compared to what we observe during mens competition, a huge number of gamblers don’t watch the women’s AFCON frequently and trust me no serious gambler will want to bet where he doesn’t have full statistics of the teams, and the odds too most times discourages people from betting on them, teams like the super Falcons often times gets very small odds and it will discourage most gamblers from gambling on them, there are even pre season games going on currently given most gamblers an option either to bet on women’s AFCON or elsewhere. More advertisement should be done for women’s AFCON so that it can gain more attention from fans and bettors.

People put more concentration on the Super Eagles and major leagues in football than the female leagues; the same applies to why only a few gamble and many are not that interested in gambling on their matches, because they are not really developing much interest in watching and playing their games when gambling. I agree with you that women football needs more advertisements, if a lot of endorsements are coming in I'm sure that they will pay so much to publicize women football, infact it was less than a month ago that many people started to hear about this WAFCON because there was no publicity for the women's AFCON. I've not found time to watch any of the games live so far but from the image updates that I've been seeing I observed that the seats in the stadiums were always almost empty and you will wonder whether Morocco, the host country have female football supporters and fans from around the continent. I also observed that most bettor friends that I have including myself don't have interest in betting on these female teams and that is another sign of a lack of interest in the tournament. I'm sure that when they get to the semi finals stage that is when most fans and bettors would develop interest to watch and to bet.

I know some casinos accept women football bets yet most people refrain from betting as most results of women playing football are more likely tennis results rather than football ones meaning they score and concede lots of goals. This is probably the reason most people do not bet nor talk about such events at all. I found no pleasure watching women playing football mostly because it is more of a manly sport so I believe to be the reason of many other people not liking these events that much.

Reason I skip AFCON or any other women football games because game result is way more unpredictable than in men football game. Like swogerino told, Nigerian team that won tournament 10 times and is leading 3:0 in first half, have 50/50 chances of losing game. That is only an analogy, but game result be really unexpected in women football games. Another possible reason why I dont place bets is because I dont watch such games. There is a little chance I would find this game live on my TV, and generally watching their game makes me have feeling that I am watching something strange or I am not used to.

Sportsbooks are basically the problem here. Most folks are ready to bet on women's football, but the odds are not enticing. 

I literally wanted to bet on the Nigeria vs Egypt AFCON match on multiple goals. After seeing the odds for the game, I lost interest. I instantly picked the Arsenal vs Real Betis pre-season game to bet on.

Sportsbooks should do better. Women's FOOTBALL is gradually gaining more attention from bettors.

To watch female international competitions gets me very weak, I prefer the club competitions and bet on those ones. It's not that international competitions like this is not worth watching, but honestly, it looks more like comedy to me than an actual football game. Sometimes I even sleep off while watching their matches, I prefer to follow up with the scores. I don't bet on it since I don't know if their next performance would be consistent with the previous one. Maybe as the competition matures, I'll see matches I can bet on.

What were you expecting? Egypt was a verified underdog. They wouldn't be stupid enough to give Nigeria a good odd, you should've gone for goals which was more enticing.

I have never placed a bet on women sports, and I know that majority of gamblers even women gamblers don't gamble on female sports. I don't know the reason behind that, I can't even explain why I don't focus on women's sport. Thinking about it and watching how the women's sports usually go, I think it will be even more better and easier to win money in women's sports or tournaments than that of men.
I think I have to try it out. If I notice it is better I will focus my attention on women's sports on tournaments and stop gambling on men sports.

This can't be. Men sports would always be better, the only time I enjoyed Female team more than male was 2022 and last seasons of Chelsea. At a point I started watching their women more than their men due to consistent disappointing results of the men team.

The women AFCON is not most talked about because many people don't fancy the women football like as I am, I can't seat to watch women play I understand that they play perfectly well but I'm just not attracted to them and I don't bet on them too due to the fear of inconsistencies in their results and looking at the performances of our women they have really performed very well and are dominating the games but that not withstanding I don't like betting on them.

There are a lot of factors that need to be considered regarding why women's AFCON is not widely considered in gambling. Firstly, we need to consider how many people are genuinely following this tournament and can't afford to miss it. Then, we also need to look into how many people are enjoying the game while watching it. If you check other major competitions and those who are gambling on them, the majority have a genuine love for football, and because of the excitement in the game, this is the reason why people choose to gamble. As for the women's AFCON, the number of supporters and fans is low, and this will also affect the number of people who will engage in gambling.

I think the main reason why women's football isn't as popular and betting on it isn't as widespread is that it simply doesn't receive the same level of promotion as men's football. People don't see or hear about it nearly as often. However, I believe that will change over time. Today, there is a strong global push for equality, and there are also many discussions about discrimination against women compared to men. Because of that, it's quite possible that women's football will become much more popular in the near future. Large corporations and sponsors may see it as a great opportunity to invest in marketing and promotion. It is obvious that betting on women's football is less profitable than on men's football, it is simply much more expensive. At an official, major women's football tournament, bookmakers take a larger margin than at friendly matches in men's football. Many don't regards women league , reason is that the interest to watch is not there, like that of the men. That  make many don't publicize the women league like that of men, because betting on league you have no interest or watch may be difficult most time to predict accurately, secondly the believe that women are not good in football as most men will always said whenever you join them in argument, as every mistake is always been condemned, this is from experience as I have stayed where few where watching women league. Those fact are true but however alot has changed from the women AFCON because unlike before there has been more gamblers now in the women's tournament than before because they're always more serial in the tournament that even our men's leagues because for some season now it wasn't only their champion that have repeatedly performed the same but most other countries also continues with their position they have been getting on the tournament so with a logical sense someone would no that gambling on the women's tournament could be more fruitful in wining because they don't challenge like men's and besides I have already gambled and win on this women's tournament.

I guess this season of women's AFCON is really hot because I saw few of my contacts posted it on their WhatsApp status and one person made a joke about the Egyptian team, but I have not watch a single match since the game started, I just don't have interest and the time to pay attention to the game that's why I am not betting on the game, probably if I was following up on the game just the way I do in other games of the men team, I would definitely be able to make good prediction. So, the reason is because I don't watch the match and I can't make good prediction without watching or following up.

Seing that men are not really showing interest in women sports can be discouraging factor, most of the gamblers I know don't always follow up with the matches the are playing or even include some of their games in the bet they are placing, I know that women cannot deliver the same way we can see men do when they play, but sometimes we also needed to encourage them by being supportive in watching their matches even though we don't include such in our bet when gambling.

Women football are generally difficult for me to predict.  There was a time I was playing mainly Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munic and Chelsea women in their respective leagues but the results were not consistent, some weeks they some of the teams will score so many goals but when you want them to repeat similar result, they will end in goalless draw or scoring less than over 1.5. This inconsistency is the reason I decided to start avoiding them.

The ongoing Women's AFCON is not even too popular, I have not watched a single match even those involving my country. So, I don't think I will bet on any of the matches.

Inconsistency is always their problem, they can barely give back positive energy especially when you're literally expecting them to do better.  Moreover, the only time I usually watch them is maybe when my wife want to do so because that's her favorite sport. Does it mean that bookmakers don't make much profit from women's football games? I guess female competition has a low fan base, and it affects the number of gamblers they can attract. I checked major international casino offereed bets on the WAFCON and didn't see any ( I might also be wrong). But local gambling platforms are doing that. The WAFCON is a major tournament since the four semi-finalists will qualify automatically for the World Cup in Brazil.
