It is true that investors doesn't panic when there is Dip because of their target which is long term but sometimes there is this fear when the price is dipping so bad after they must have had a good portfolio and I don't blame them sometimes because no one can tell what will happen for sure in this asset, so imagine having a huge funds in your wallet and then price started dipping massively it will surely look somehow I mean seeing your investment going down and you don't know when it will go back or beyond. This feeling is normal but that is why it is good to use a discrestionary income so you don't reason it much. No matter who we are, we all experience fear, fear that this decline will be severe, fear that prices won’t rise again, and fear of suffering massive losses. This is common, especially among beginner investors. Confidence is the key to overcoming fear and panic. If you’re not confident in Bitcoin’s potential, why would you invest in it. So, as you continue to accumulate, you must keep learning to expand your knowledge, don’t just focus on profit opportunities, but look deeper into why so many people believe in Bitcoin. If you do that, i’m confident your fear will disappear or at least diminish drastically.

Beginner are the ones that will panic that bitcoin price will dump and might not rise again. Experienced investors will have experience some dips previously, they already understand how the crypto market works, and they already knows that no matter how low bitcoin price goes, it’s just going to recover even if it’s going to take some time. The only time you will suffer massive loss when bitcoin price drops is when you sell. If you are still holding, you should know that with time bitcoin price is just going to bounce back and you will recover your loss. If you are holding 1 bitcoin, it’s going to remain 1 bitcoin even if bitcoin price drops, the only thing which is going to change is the amount that the bitcoin worth at that moment. If you are investing in bitcoin, make sure you take your time to do some investigation about bitcoin investment, make sure you develop confidence in what you are investing in, and I don’t think you going to have any problem after investing.

I think this has been discussed over and over on the forum, only those who entered the Bitcoin market with FOMO, who invested an amount of money they can't comfortably afford to lose, short term traders, and those who constantly watch Bitcoin price would panic when it dips. But if you are long term mindset person towards Bitcoin you will never panic during dips, instead you will see those dips as an opportunity to accumulate Bitcoin aggressively at a lower price and add to your existing Bitcoin portfolio and hold it for long term.
People should not at no time enter the Bitcoin market due to the fear of missing out at point in this. This is because when an individual enters the market with the mindset that he is losing out on profit, such a person may not be too consistent with his investments. Because when the price go in an unexpected fashion that will be a very big problem that can lead to investors leaving the market. Bitcoin investment should be done base on conviction, because when an investor who understands and know how the Bitcoin market works, especially the movement of the market such investor will not be disturbed no matter the Dip that will be experienced. Instead of leaving the market, investors should see opportunity in the Dip, because the Dip always give investors the chance to make use of it very well by capitalizing on the drop in price and accumulate more.

Speculation will always be there in the market, so should that be a problem? No, because if their is no speculation, their wouldn't be much volatility in the market that produces money making opportunities in the market, so I believe that if things are done the right way, panicking or getting worried over the volatile nature of the market will never happen.
Newbies are always the ones making this mistake as they invest with emotion instead of investing with experience but they cannot be blamed since they are newbie that invest out of ignorance but they do not have to continue living in this ignorance or it will make them become dumb. When investing in the market we have to always invest with the little we have instead of borrowing to invest or investing more than we have the capacity to handle any losses that occurs during the course of holding that investment and anyone who does this will begin to lose faith in the market that it can recover.

Everyone has their own way of seeing the market. You shouldn't worry about what others will do with their money. What is truly important is to be aware that if you're going to trade, there shouldn't be any relevant or fundamental news that could invalidate your analysis.
What I do recommend you look at, and learn to read, is the BTC volume on the main exchanges, which is where the action is. Based on that, you should do your analysis calmly and with complete peace of mind.
If you're accumulating BTC, you should stick to your plan and maintain it, always with moderation and monitoring.
I have to agree on that. It is not bad when someone looks at the current price. We don't have the same way of looking in the market and helps us decide whether we should buy more or start selling. But for the long term investors, they understand what's more the market can offer to them if they have that plan of staying further. Planning our accumulation should be done at these times because the price can be amusing and acceptable as a buying price for most long term holders. Although not all sees the same way.

I want to conclude by saying that, those who gives attention to the current price are likely to taking decisions that will make them to regret their decisions. We should remove our minds from the fluctuations in price that we are seeing.
Well it is easy for everyone to say what they like about buying or holding, but you should consider the risk Also. What we are talking about here is hard earned money, when you work so hard to make it you will be careful on how to spend it including the type of investment you do. Bitcoin is a good investment but not really for everyone regardless of how we preach about it profitability everyday. People who sell out of panic are people who are misinformed about Bitcoin. sometimes they aim at making short term profitor from Price fluctuation or they have had bad experience before. Take it or leave it some advice are misleading because when talking about buying continuesly don't forget that some people bought Bitcoin at $126k ATH hoping it could keep going to $150k and now it has dropped to $63k now tell me will such person has the zeal to keep accumulating more at the current price after losing almost %80 of his investment? Let us be realistic it's not really easy. So people act according to past market expirence and this is what happening yo the current market because many people don't want to lose.

I agree with this main statement. Simply need to add some information to support the argument.
This is not the first time that BTC has experienced a drastic correction, it dropped by -84% from its ATH in 2018, further dropped by -77% in 2022, and in 2020-2021 during the bull run, it experienced corrections of -30% to -50% in between. Despite these sharp declines, however, the long-term trend of the network (hashrate, active addresses, institutional adoption) has continued upward. The idea of focusing on network growth, rather than price, has a historical foundation.
But, holding without thinking is not a way to be risk-free either. The main difference between the strong hands and the ones that aren't stands on three points: Reasonable position sizing (i.e. not using funds that might be needed in the short term), having a long-term thesis and not tuning out the fundamentals information.
Don't panic is correct, but never look at price at all is a bit extreme. What matters is discipline, not avoiding information altogether.

It’s understandable if their worries are that they bought an altcoin and now seeing the price going down drastically, no hope of recovery. But they should hold on to their bitcoin, over the years most of us have seen price of bitcoin going really down but after awhile we’re seeing bitcoin rise to several new ATH. Yeah, interestingly I’m among the few who bought bitcoin at that $126 ATH you talked about few months ago and I still have no regrets about it, as a matter of fact I’m using this downturn to cover up and accumulate as many stash as i can at such a low discount rate ahead of a potential uptrend.

But , even some experience investors may still panic especially when there is a big decline in the price of there bitcoin, let say something like %50 decline in price. So it is not just beginners that do panic during a dip. There are also people that may make the mistake of investing with money for there essential needs and they will panic when there is a dip. Being too obsessed with checking of bitcoin prices can also may an investor to panic whether they are newbies or experienced investors.

Actually newbies may panic that's those with no experience that BTC is a volatile asset, the dip is part of bitcoin characteristics so people shouldn't panic when the market is going down as this is due to bitcoin volatility. Those who are panicking much now will be traders who thinks that by now the price will be up so They can sell out, well i believe that now is an opportunity for investors to even buy more bitcoin as the price is low this opportunity may not come again so i don't think this should be time to panic but an opportunity to accumulate more BTC and hodl for the future growth.

Even if we are talking about Bitcoin, when something goes down 50%, it is only natural for people to feel very weird about it, and there is nothing wrong with that. I do not really think that is difficult; it is understandable that people fear something dropping that much. It can happen in any market in the world, and people would be worried about it. You and I may know that when bitcoin price goes down, it is going to go back up, and that is normal, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with bad results or good results for sure in the short term; we may do better in the long term, but the short term may not do that well. Moreover, you need to remember there are a lot of people who are putting up money that they may need in the short term, which is a mistake but they do it anyway, and there are a lot of people who do leverage as well, or spot trading on short term, like a day trader, all of which we need in the market to continue, we can't get rid of them or ask them to stop. And all of those people could be losing money too.

Good attitude. If you were buying at $126k, it's not a bad idea to keep buying now that it's much lower than that all-time high. That's why accumulating is the best idea right now. If you accumulate now while the price is far from its all-time high, you'll likely have much more money when there's another all-time high—more BTC means more money. That's what investing in BTC is all about; it's much better to accumulate using any current method. Many are using dollar-cost averaging (DCA) due to its strong long-term success.

There's nothing wrong if an investor look at the current market price, As long as you don't make wrong decisions through it. The bear market often put fear into the minds of investors, especially newbies. This where most them begin to panic, and some might sell off their holdings, apart from that people who invest beyond their capabilities also faces this kind of issues during the bear market. If you are an investor who planned his investment properly. What investors should focus on during this period is to remain calm, continue your normal DCA accumulation. Last year everyone was jubilating when Bitcoin was bullish, so we should also know that the market works in cycle. Bitcoin can not be raising forever without making corrections, as investors maintain patience and discipline...

At this point traders watching the market should continue doing their work in silence, ever since the price dropped to lower range for too long it seems everyone wants to know bitcoin next move and they think by watching the market movement they’ll be able to know when the bull season will come, honestly I don’t know what’s inspiring the massive view on bitcoin price recently aside from the fact traders always watch out but, investing is totally different except op is advising against trade and we all should focus on holding bitcoin definitely this approach is the safest, holding bitcoin till whenever a certain goal is reach obviously one can do this without looking at the current price meanwhile at some point too much attention given to the market might lead to fear.

But I want to say that, it's not needed because we should know that the Bitcoin network has experienced several Sharp corrections like this in the past. And has gone to all time low but has come back from it temporary decline in price just as what we are experiencing now and so this should not cause Panic.
Bitcoin short-term investors are unlikely to make a profit, because Bitcoin can only be profitable if invested in the long term and the risk is very low. Therefore, those who invest in Bitcoin short-term are at risk of losing their capital, because they buy Bitcoin when they see a slight decline in the market and expect to sell Bitcoin when they see a slight increase. Therefore, they lose confidence in themselves, Therefore, short-term Bitcoin investments are the most risky. I want to conclude by saying that, those who gives attention to the current price are likely to taking decisions that will make them to regret their decisions. We should remove our minds from the fluctuations in price that we are seeing.
Bitcoin investment is most acceptable in the long term, which brings comfort to Bitcoin investors. Because the longer the Bitcoin investment, the more profitable it will be, because the Bitcoin price is touching an all-time high in the form of a Bitcoin cycle. Therefore, long-term investment is more profitable than short-term investment.
