I don’t care about the investment methods used. Anyone is free to use their own way to invest. The focus is on making profits from the planned investments. You can use whichever investment method you like, but if psychologically, you can’t handle the selling pressure, your plan will fail too. Since short term holders main purpose is to buy bitcoin at a low price and sell back at a high price, they are the ones that you be concerned in giving attention to the market in order to be at alert of knowing when to enter the market and exist the market to enable them to make their short term profits but as for long term investors, they don't have anything to do with monitoring the market as they should focus with accumulating bitcoin and reaching their over accumulation stage or level.

Ultimately everyone would like to buy low and sell higher and thanks to inflation that's quite likely but on what time scale.  Some people want the money back on the day or the week and never hold over a weekend, they are the fast money traders who aren't really involved in BTC properly only the flashing price on their screen briefly.

   Its just a question of time frame, I don't mind buying in the dreary lows if I can work out the reasonable prospect and time line for the recovery.  Being totally wrong on the timing and buying into the peak of the rollercoaster and not realizing beforehand or even during the plunge is probably frightening to everyone even the long term holders don't especially want to buy the highs.

   Buy regular and you get the mix of all and it gives the best shot over time.  The 50 day average is actually rising right now but the price is dipping a bit, I do hope for it to close the weekly bar a bit higher then this so some slight positive takeaway can happen but we'll see!

No, because if their is no speculation, their wouldn't be much volatility in the market that produces money making opportunities in the market, so I believe that if things are done the right way, panicking or getting worried over the volatile nature of the market will never happen.

Yes if good aproach is been followed, perhaps panicking won't be there, but this might not be a thing for newbies because they are at the stage where there knowledge is still little, and they may not understand that the market can bleed much sometimes and that doesn't mean that it won't bounce back even higher overtime, it takes them little time to get use to the market reactions to understand that what is making them panic can actually benefit them, if they capitalize on the opportunity, instead of panicking for what is meant to be the market usuals.

When old Investor panic, it makes me think that they aren't real investors or maybe they have been doing buying and selling, not the long-term hodling thing , because I believe that old investor should understands that the market cannot be without price fluctuations, if they panic because of dips, it means they not long-term investors.

For you to make some profit as a short time traders will need to make some researches be an expert, have deep knowledge and experience about bitcoin to know when it's good to buy and sell, but with the movement of BTC price now i don't think anyone can get it rightly when the price is going to drop and when it will increase and there is a lot of risk in trading BTC.

I think this has been discussed over and over on the forum, only those who entered the Bitcoin market with FOMO, who invested an amount of money they can't comfortably afford to lose, short term traders, and those who constantly watch Bitcoin price would panic when it dips. But if you are long term mindset person towards Bitcoin you will never panic during dips, instead you will see those dips as an opportunity to accumulate Bitcoin aggressively at a lower price and add to your existing Bitcoin portfolio and hold it for long term.

As far as your mindset is to accumulate bitcoin and hold it for the long term whether you are accumulating bitcoin either through the DCA strategy or lump sum strategy you are a long term investor. Holding bitcoin for the short term and making profits isn't an easy task and for anyone to succeed in trading bitcoin for short term gain that person must be rooted in knowledge, like the person must be good with technical analysis which will help he or she have a clue about the bitcoin price movement to guide him or her know when to enter and exit the market.

Even those short-time traders who are actively monitoring the market to see if they can pick up a good entry level, they still don’t get it right at all times; they get disappointed as they can monitor the market and enter, and the market can still react in a totally different way compared to what they were expecting. Sometimes I still wonder if these day traders are making profit from short trading bitcoin or they are just being busy for nothing.

I think the ones who will benefit from volatility are good traders who know how the market moves, as an investor every drop can be an opportunity to buy at a lower price especially for long term investors but volatility can also bring panic to investors and their mind can become a roller coaster as they watch the market move. So stopping ourselves too often looking at charts and following the news can be very helpful in reducing the chance of panicking.

Holding for the long term is not an easy task if we love looking at charts and following the news. There is a lot of FUD out there that can weaken our mindset and make us want to sell our holdings whenever they grow by 10%, 20%, etc

Holding bitcoin short term is not a crime. Some people are in the business of buying Bitcoin at a low price and selling when the price is high. And there is nothing wrong with that. People are free to do whatever they want with their money and Bitcoin. It is not a cult that everybody needs to do the same thing. As long as you know what you're doing, I don't see anything wrong with it. It is riskier, of course, but it's their choice. I am not good at short term trading; that is why I don't do it. I just focus on holding and accumulating when I can, but people who are good at it can go ahead. It doesn't mean they will always be profitable, but if they know what they are doing, they will have profits.

If someone want to get benefit from Bitcoin then he must develop habit of taking advantage of Bitcoin volatility. Many think that volatility is negative feature of Bitcoin but in reality it has helped Bitcoin in going towards high prices within short duration. Due to volatility their are times when Bitcoin price went down to extreme lows and their are fears that Bitcoin is going to zero, that is the best time to buy Bitcoin. The price of Bitcoin is down for many weeks and we have to take advantage of this situation rather then thinking that Bitcoin is going to zero.
