I'm just trying to correct you base on your post, you are the one who gets into gambling as your way of financial relief, you want additional income? Gambling is your choice, this is you, not everyone else, talk only for yourself next time, I've known to be scared of gambling from a very young age and that's from my father's.

That’s correct. Gambling has its one rules of engagement, and as far as I know, the rules of gambling way back in the good ol’ days are still pretty much the same even up till now. If you ask me, I think the situation with gambling today is almost the same as it was in the past. Many people were already addicted to gambling even back then. The difference is that people are now more open and outspoken when it comes to gambling discussion... through social media, it has become much easier for people to share their experiences and what is happening in their lives, which making the gambling related issues more visible and widely discussed.

They are not employed or they do not have job, where are they seeing money to gamble? But there is a bit of truth to what you mean, there are many people that are underemployed and because of the poor salary or wages that they are earning, that can make them gamble more.

I don’t see the link with inflation either. If you’re not able to keep up with inflation on your income, what you need to do is spend less on non-essential things, such as gambling. The OP does have a point in that some people with limited financial resources and few prospects for the future do turn to gambling as a last resort, but I don’t see this as a widespread phenomenon. And in any case, if there are more problems now, it’s because of the ease of betting 24/7 on your mobile, not because of inflation.
