This is great, and better actually because IIRC in WC some teams had to play each other in group and in playoffs due to the random draw. Much better to play all the teams together.

Yeah, it was fully random. Maybe we should have avoided that but it was already quite difficult to randomize in real time in a verifiable way.
This format is much better but drawing teams will again prove to be a really tough challenge.

If anybody has any ideas for a verifiable 'live' draw, let us know.

No,, I do not think it was your fault, but I think maybe it can be made a draw that somehow blocks teams from playing each other at least not in playoff, so maybe fix players from same group in different side of bracket.

It will be different in this one though since it is one big group but maybe in playoff, fix everybody in playoff in different sides? If it makes sense.

I think if you explain the rules in chatgpt and ask it to use a custom randomization formula it might be enough for us For ME anyway

I think in this case we work with trust,,, same as we trust all you guys to do escrow, personally I feel you guys have always done all the draws fairly, and have no issue, no need for me to ask extra burden of proof from you. I cannot think there is a single person who would doubt a forum mod, a forum staff, or one of you organizers and campaign managers   And when there is wrongdoing, the community always reacts together!

This format should make it so whatever we do. There will be 8 group stage matches against 8 different teams. Then we will have knockout draw and here we can't do much. Chances are 50-50 you will play against someone you already played if we have 16 teams.

Yeah you can see 13 teams on first page, but there are a few more people without teams so I'm thinking minimum 12, and last minute guys. Just prefer to ask everyone to get on quick rather than wait last minute.

Seriously I wasn’t expecting to see the team slots still remaining two weeks to deadline day because I was expecting that from the fun we had in the World Cup edition all teams from that edition will be playing and then new players coming to form new team. But two weeks is still enough time to get the remaining three teams if we don’t even end up with more teams later.

So, if I did my math correctly, we currently have 13 "safe" teams and 6 more free and interested members from which 2 additional teams could be formed for the competition?
Do you think anyone else could join by Friday or Saturday?
The first RTG competition was fantastic and I'm sure the second edition will be even better, so I'm even a little disappointed that more teams didn't apply.
Maybe we could have a "one man" team again to at least get to 16 teams, so that everyone can play in each round?
