This is a purely procedural matter, I wouldn't want it to affect the gameplay. Maybe "appoint" a captain retrospectively - either at random or simply the person who scored the fewest points?

And I would like to clarify one more thing:

• Team with more total goals scored from their picks earns 1 point.

We don't consider it a problem We play this competition in teams of three, meaning 3 people can look trough and discuss answers. Use your team mates to double check submissions. If still something is missing, well, fair advantage for the opponent. There is also a bunch of other stuff some other players would like. I am sure igebotz would like us to implement check if all the pairs are from the right competition. There will be someone who will screw up with the odds sooner or later....

Why add something that wasn't there? What do we need story for if we have number?

I don't see the point of comparing this to Fantasy, our mechanics are different. In my view, if own goals are to be counted in differently, they should carry a multiplier of 4x or even 5x. Predicting a standard goal is easy - top strikers average between 0.6 and 1 goal per game, but predicting an own goal is dozens of times harder (it’s unlikely anyone’s rate is even 0.05). I see no point in penalizing Ryu_Ar1 for his visionary approach.
