This is a development that began in the early 2000s. In the 90s there were clubs like Ajax, Panathinaikos, Kyiv, Porto, Eindhoven and a few others that made it to the semifinals or final many times. Over the last 15 years or more, private investments have become popular as owning a franchise in North America has proven to be profitable many years ago. Geographically, this trend has been sweeping across Europe from North America and from the typical North American most popular sports to football. Inter Miami is the most popular football club owned by David Beckham. They don't buy it only because it is a hobby, but because they want to make money. That is why they can sign players like Messi.

Veterans like Müller, Hummels or Sommer don't have the same resources. I think they want to try and build a football club from the ground up and work primarily with young talents. What I wanted to say is that the number of potential Champions League winners has been diminishing significantly over the years because it became a game of resources and football clubs with those big wallets in the background are inflating everything and make good players less affordable for all others, which further narrows down the number of football clubs that have a good chance to win the Champions League.

Whether financial fair play can solve this is yet to be seen because they have many ways to pay players otherwise. In the MLS there is a salary cap, but it was found out that companies like Apple are involved and one solution is that those companies share money from subscription with a popular player like Messi. It doesn't count towards the salary cap I think. This is why it will be about money forever unless they enforce much stricter rules, but it is impossible to discover all the tricks. A player could be promised a position after his career and it doesn't count as salary and couldn't be proven to be part of the salary.

Now everyone watches the Manchester City case and in my opinion it is important that justice will be lifted up.

I missed seeing the telegram notification for the tag on this, the champions league coming back as well as the RTG competition is already a fun week started. I quickly checked the team members of Cromorra after seeing your comment, I must say we have a tough opponent to face in this round to upheld victory and continue our perfect start. The last time we met in the World Cup RTG, they won by one goal difference. This should be our own time to get the victory and tie us on H2H. Really anticipating for what the outcome of this round would be, while keep being optimistic of a good outcome for our team.

Sometimes the obvious bet is the right and easiest one, Barcelona’s more very often aren’t playing from behind, and they score to many early goals which gives them the edge, the time is coming when the team would struggle but it’s not worth chasing imo, you’re likely going to lose more than you’ll win.

I really don’t like this round of fixtures from both betting and prediction standpoint, so most of my picks (for the native CL competition) have been pretty straightforward ones, I really can’t find decent teams that I’d like to pick for potential upset, the risks and the rewards are not extremes, but there multiple ~2x that seems like decent value, but limited stakes to go round.
