That's exactly what some people are feeling now, thinking that AI is going to replace their jobs and they will become jobless. But from my perspective human labour will always be needed in one way or the other, it is impossible for AI to totally eliminate human labour and replace it totally, except during the next 99 century. I doubt if AI can carryout hard labor like human. AI has several advantages and it is actually helping a lot of us and no one can deny that, but at the same time, it has several effects.
If we look at human history then human life is getting improved with every passing decade and that is mainly because of advancement in the field of technology. Till date humans are required for most of the jobs and now there is fear that AI will take most of jobs and many people will become jobless. AI no doubt is a reality and we can't stop it but what we can do is analyse how we can fit our role in the new model. Those who are doing this working, will be safe in coming days while those who are opposing this change will find it difficult to survive in coming era.

AI will replace human jobs. So many influential people who have invested and seen what AI can do have said it many times that AI will take away people's jobs. I don't think it's all a joke because they have seen what's in between. Whether you amplify your skill or not, there won't be availability of jobs meant for you and I because those who are to employ us will then employ the services of AI to do the little and big work for them perfectly and quickly.
There is no doubt that there are some jobs that can easily be replaced by AI because if AI can do the work of a human and the employer have to spend less money on it, they are going to go with it. However, you can't say that there won't be any jobs for humans, because there are so many jobs and positions in so many different fields where humans will still be needed and AI won't be able to replace them, at least not in the near future, we can't say anything about the distant future because things will probably not be the same after a few decades, but for the near future, we can say that humans who acquire skills that cannot be matched by AI will always have employment opportunities. If you are into customer service, online support, accounting, data related jobs, and a bunch of other similar jobs, then you might need to be concerned about your position being replaced by AI because we know that AI can easily replace these jobs and can do the work much more efficiently than human workers. However, most jobs that require both physical observation and mental presence will not easily be replaced by AI because AI models and technologies have not developed to the point to be able to manage that, and the best example of this is the Ford incident where they fired their employees to replace them with AI, and later regretted it because AI couldn't do their job properly.

If only I had a satoshi for every time I heard the "AI won't take your job, a person using AI will".
Plot twist: an AI totally wrote this post just to trick us into a false sense of security. I'll start genuinely panicking when the AI figures out how to organically shitpost here and buy the dip without panic-selling.
Or is it already happening?

I totally agree with you on that. I wouldn't say that AI is not going to replace anyone because that would be a lie. There are so many jobs that can easily be handled by AI, but there are also a lot of jobs that can't be handled by AI alone, so humans will still be needed for them even if there is involvement of AI and technology, humans will still have to put in their contributions for things to work properly. People who are doing jobs that they know or believe can easily be replaced by AI, they need to start working on their self-improvement and learning skills that will help them in the future. There is also one thing that most people ignore, it is that if some people are saying that AI is going to replace jobs, there are also people who believe that AI will also make it easy for people to make money in the future, even Elon Musk said that AI will help people make money in the future and they won't even need to work for it, and we already see the effects of this because so many people are using AI models to make money in some way, either through content creation, content writing, or development and and stuff.

The tool does not replace skill, it amplifies skill.
If you are good, AI helps you become faster, if you are excellent, AI helps you become dangerous. And I'd you refuse to learn it, well, at least your excuses will remain 100% human.
So the real question is not; will AI take my job?
The real question is; Am I willing to learn the tool for my advantage in my required field?
At least someone has finally created a reasonable thread about Al not taking humans jobs. Before now, I never had thought of Al replacing human skills, just as you stated Al only enhance existing skills they don't replace them. The earlier people start seeing Al has something that is not harmful it will better for them. Let's take developers for example, they don't need to stress themselves writing codes manually, Al can simply write codes for them. At this point Al didn't replace their skills, Al just made things easier for them by saving them the stress of writing codes manually.

My very basic take on AI about what is occurring is that AI is enabling greater access to what was already possible ten years ago. The technology unlocked by AI in any way was already possible, there should be a heavy emphasis on the artificial , because we already had the tech in hand in some shape or form.
What didnt used to be true is being able to go to a search engine and have it alter and reform my resource, data or picture and it just follows my command. I was programming decades ago, I grew up that way recognizing and using the syntax to speak to computers and have them perform a task, now anyone can type plain normal English or any language known to translate it into actions the computers will perform.
I dont think we have invented an engine or some new lifeform, what we really did is an amazing translation system, plain people can finally converse with computers. I've been speaking to computers via specific syntax for decades since personal computers became a thing. What altered is not that computers became like a rocket but the invention is more a gearbox, the same power can be handled easily by anyone and yes thats amazing but its not sentient lifeform or anything too dramatic much as Im a fan its got a long way to go to challenge people fundamentally.
What muddies the water is alongside the AI, computers have become alot more powerful, have and will keep improving greatly. For AI I would relate it parts of a car, a great engine without the wheels, tires and a good gearbox is not half as useful. It can just be wasted, there is alot of waste that occurs even in successful business and across entire nations.
We advanced the wider picture, advancement will enable people not restrict or degrade them and Im certain the power was already there before AI just not used fully. I do agree with the simple point being made, people are now even more required in future then the past waste of people that has happened far too often.

Some decades ago, when new technology and machines were invented, people panicked. However, the authorities told them that machines were just for their help, they would make things easier. They were right, machines make life easier. But over time, machines have taken jobs that used to require ten people, now, the machine itself can do that. The same will happen with AI. Currently, we are benefiting from it, but in the future, as humans continue to research and technologies merge, AI may take control. I do not want that, but the smartest answers and responses from AI can make people think that maybe in the future it could take control.

Klarna laid off 700 employees and replaced their jobs with AI. Next, the quality was reduced. After that they brought in workers. This is just one story and it should tell you that the discussion is much more involved than it has "just learn the tool bro". I do think you are onto something real though. Those who embrace AI rather than resisting it are better off as a result. That is a fact and it cannot be disputed. I see it all around and it is supported by the data. However, "learning AI" requires a certain amount of time, access, and background knowledge. Oh and to do this while the industry is actively rearranging itself under your feet. This is a huge assumption to make. Not all of them are in a good position here. That is sort of wiped away by the "just adapt" narrative. Entry level jobs are evaporating. The junior jobs used to be where they learned to do repetitive work, but not that tedious. These are the first things that are automated. Where is it that new people are being educated now? Yes, the tool enhances skill. However, what of those others who continued to develop the skill that would have been amplified?

Here's the truth nobody is saying loudly enough; AI is not the competition, it is the advantage.
The people getting ahead right now are not smarter, more talented, or more gifted. They have learned to work with the machine instead of treating AI like a villain in a science-fiction movie. The writers using AI to brainstorm faster are not lazy, they are publishing while others are waiting for the perfect opportunity. The small business owners using AI for customer replies is not cutting corners, they are buying back hours to actually grow the business. The students using AI to study smarter are not cheating, they are preparing for a world that has already changed while some people are debating whether AI is a passing trend in 2026.
Artificial intelligence and its new technologies are here to stay. So, if you work in a field, where these tools would help you become efficient, productive, and boost your chances of getting promoted and a higher pay, and it’s use is allowed you need to do yourself a favor and learn how to use it. Because if you don’t, in the next few months, you would be replaced with a new hire or colleague who has skills in using AI to do their job efficiently based on job evaluation and performance rating.

Sooner or later those who are with the senior job roles will start to see the automation as well. While Klarna has failed with its adoption of AI, I think that everyone is testing the waters which one is going to be effective on them. And with how AI continues to advance and how it's quickly learning most of the tasks that we're doing, I think that it will still take time to wholly take over our jobs. That's concerning but we have to adopt the current situation and continue to upskill and educate ourselves with what it can be done or what most companies use it. Because even there's ai, at some point there has to be an operator behind each of it and that will be our next jobs.

Technology have not come to take our jobs but to make our jobs easier and faster, before the existence of Technology humans have been investing more time, energy and resources before achieving a specific job but Technology came and reduce such stress and even increase the efficiency of the results we get. Same way Technology have helped in in the achievement of goals Same also will AI help also, so let us stop seeing things the other way and focus on the positive results we will find at last. I know it will bring limitations to the level of employment humans will get but it will be useful to us

It is unwise to assume that because humans have always advanced with every technology that we should sit back assuming that AI is never a threat to certain working environment. AI is a threat to those that are not advancing with it. every generation comes with a peculiar reality. as generation changes, anyone that fails to change with it will eventually suffer and made irrelevance because times and systems waits for no one.

I also disagree with the claim that "AI steals jobs." On the contrary, jobs do not disappear, only the tasks involved change. In the past, creating one brochure took three days and an agency. Today, you can generate multiple design options in minutes. That saved time can go to what AI can't replace, negotiating with suppliers, maintaining customer relationships, and building brand strategy. Since AI arrived, "repetitive execution" has declined. But the demand for decision-makers, editors, and creative directors has gone up. Indirectly, AI is also creating new jobs.
Many companies sell AI tools. But like any other software, buying one doesn't make you a pro. A fancy car doesn't make you a skilled driver. The truth is, AI won't take your money or your job for free. It's just a tool. The people who benefit will be those who learn to use it, while others are still wasting time debating and fearing it. In the end, it's not about the tool. It's about how you use it, some will see AI as a threat. Others will see it as an advantage.

With the example you gave, I think you only proved that AI steals job. Even if you don't mean to, you said that when creating a brochure took three days and an agency, while using AI it will only take minutes and you can actually generate multiple designs. It means that the job of multiple people is no longer needed because if you compare it to AI, the expense and time to produce a brochure is lesser.

AI is something different than other technologies, when it learns something it can do that thing better than humans and that directly means the stealing of human jobs. When companies get workers who can work 24/7 and just need energy instead of salary then most companies prefer such workers over humans.
AI is making those workers available for big companies nowadays and that's why most companies are reducing their human work force and that's making many people jobless. I think AI is still in progress stage, when it gets better than it will be able to complete many more tasks that only humans can do right now.
Only those who many utilize AI bots in the best way will earn most money in future that's why tech giants are now focusing much on AI related things instead of anything else. I still fear the day when AI reaches AGI level of smartness than life on Earth will be different than it's right now.
AI is quite different from previous technologies because it came later and inherited a lot from what had already been built. I understand the concern you are talking about. But just like a lot of people worry AI will take their job, people back when the internet first showed up also worried it would put them out of work. They had similar reasons to be worried back then. But in reality, many new job appeared afterward, job they never even imagined. The world keeps moving forward, it never stop. So I think the issue is not AI or technology itself, but whether we're willing to change and adapt.

Exactly. AI is becoming less about replacing people and more about creating a productivity gap between those who use it effectively and those who don't.

There are still plenty if jobs where AI will never be. Jobs like manual labor. Still people stand in queues to get job done. This means there is demand for service like that. Have someone seen robots irl or on videos? They are too clumsy to replace humans who work in manual labor jobs.
People who work with PCs and other devices. Just do your job perfectly and your employer wont consider replacing you with AI. Even if you will be replaces - you can do nothing with progress. I think people from the start should be flexible, be ready to change jobs, then think they will work on one job/one position whole life or career.
While that is true, it doesn't mean that every job will be replaced either. We are talking about a world where it is not going to be fully replaced by AI, even stuff like coding. Because no matter what you believe, AI doesn't do a job all by itself. Doesn't matter if you just build an agent that works all by itself; YOU have to push that start button; YOU have to build that. Even if the entire job you have to do is open up Claude, and put in a prompt, that is still your job. So while it is true that we are not going to have as many people working as we used to, there will still be people who will work on it. Also remember, if a senior developer or a lead worked with 20 juniors back in the day, now 2 juniors will do; the problem lies somewhere else. We are talking about no more juniors being worked, so they can't become seniors, so in 10 years, you will not have junior devs becoming senior devs at a high enough rate to run the Claude or whatever AI at that point. So yeah, we will always have people who will have some jobs.

Humans are still needed in this new model which is dominated by AI. Already we have heards news that Ford is rehiring its veteran engineers because AI was able to do the job of quality checks properly. Companies must also not rush to shift everything from humans to Ai rather they must analyse first which areas can be handled properly by AI because AI is still in its early days and with time its model will get mature. On the same line, as an individual we must also do our best efforts to adopt AI to secure our future.
