How True is this about China Products

There are both fake and original products in China, and the same applies to every other country. You need to know what you want and make sure that you have the right link to the right source, so don't let people deceive you by selling you inferior products.

Also, develop the ability to know what you want so that they don't sell you something different from what you ordered. I know this about China alone, but in every part of the world, people will definitely take advantage of any opportunity they see as useful to them against others.

My personal opinion is that what you’re saying is absolutely incorrect, I have to tell you that China doesn’t produce fake things as people in Nigeria Assume, it’s just all a stereotype when I was growing up I have always heard that Chinese product are fake, but that isn’t the case, because most of this Chinese product that we are calling fake were never produced in China, it was manufactured somewhere in Nigeria called Aba, I’m curious if other countries in the World also sees Chinese products as fake, because from my observation it’s just in Nigeria where everyone assumes that Chinese products are fake.

But I have also heard of some people arguing that China is formed of producing fake items, they can decided to go to any length in making a carbon copy of an original product and sell the counterfeit to people placing demand, sometimes if you buy a product and does not carefully check the maker, you will discovered that they are China products when you ordered for US or Germany brands.

Yes you are right and I don't think they are still in that stage of create fake products. China started their industrial market by copying  other products so they can know how such produce was made, following similar patterns for them to get it right.
There is nothing wrong with mimic other products when you are looking for ways to make your product better and to solve more problems than the original ones. That is how competition started to limit monopoly.

To burst your bubbles also, I heard of some people talking about how China sold fake anti-missiles drones detectors to Iran, and that was one of the reasons why the US could land most of its attacks on Iran without detonating any of these drones. Anyway, this is just by the way, but here is the question.

I have no business with the on going war since I don't have much information about it. China can produce canterfeits and they can also produce original but I don't know how they do check their products to know which ones are fit  for the public to limit factory errors which can happen at anytime in any industry.

There is no denying that China manufactures counterfeit products and plays a big role in international trade. You can also consider them as the top international counterfeit import country. This does not mean that they are ahead in manufacturing and importing counterfeit products only, but they also manufacture and import high-quality products.

Basically, China manufactures every level of product, from low-quality products to high-quality products. They are trying to ensure their role in both low-cost and advanced markets. A 2025 study said that Chinese products accounted for more than 60% of the counterfeit products seized worldwide. However, you can ignore these counterfeit products and try using high-quality Chinese products. For this, you have to develop the habit of spending money.

China has manufacturers that operate at different quality level, from generating or making extremely cheap product to having highly advanced, very expensive one that are made for the major international brand. They have mandatory standards and certification system as well. They have their quality laws that prohibit producer from passing any sort of defective item or substandard goods. But most of time, quality of  product is dependent on what the importer is willing to pay for and what type of specification they want that they have given to the manufacturer. If an importer wants to buy a cheap option then it is reality that product will be of lower quality and cheap. Then responsibility is more dependent on the importer as compared to the person who has produced that product.

I agree with you on this.. the things is, most of these products are manufactured on specification and order. So, to a very large extent, the importers get what they ordered for. Am not totally turning down the fact that, sometimes, someone who placed an order can not get a lower qualify of what he ordered, but in this case of international trade, I think it's limited.

Come to think of it, if china are producing fake products and selling to other countries, don't you think that there products or exportation tracks would have reduced over the years? For instance, if I place an order, and confirmed that I got the fake or inferior product against what I actually paid for or ordered, and it repeats itself again and again, wont I stop buying from them and look elsewhere? I think this is just propaganda somehow. Even though there might me truth in it, but it isn't completely true. I think China is really doing well for themselves in the international market, and I hail them

I think the concept of Chinese product is not base on fake but on consumer affordability, one thing I have come to know about the Chinese so called fake product is that they don't price there product as the original showing that they are not trying to be deceptive but making goods that is usable and won't break the bank. If you don't want the fake, why don't you just buy the original. Aside that they are some good fake Chinese products I have come to see.

Except when I don't have an alternative will you see me considering for the use of China products, not because I don't trust them to that extent but they are not 100% reliable when it comes to what you intended to get from them being of high quality standard, it's also depends on the particular item or commodity that we may wanted to get, but I can be rest assured that it is more preferred to get them from other developed countries while China remain the last alternative.

One of the major problem we are having in this regards are those distributing to the final consumers, they don't relate to them accordingly based on price and qualities. Most of the time when people complains about fake products is when the price they got the product doesn't match up with the quality they got, now there is nothing wrong if china are masking products of different quantities so that anyone can afford the one they can and within their financial strength, and where we are getting it wrong is when we become a victim of buying a lower quality the same price as that of a the superior or premium quality from the hand of those discharging to the final consumers, there is a default in the system that is not completely the fault of the producers which is China.

Honestly, I think that is simply because of your bias against Chinese product.

As many people have pointed out, China produces both cheap products and high quality ones. So just because you've had a few experiences with their cheaper products. Its unfair to generalize and assume that all Chinese products are low quality.

I've used product like the MateXT, ThinkPad P1, P16, Edifier, Anker...I can tell you that some of them are even better in quality than many product from the US.
