Honestly its a good distraction when youre stress provided you are into it and also got a spare funds to waste playing online or brought on physical casino. I used this very weekend that just passed as a gateway with my family, we were into two different near countries and had a lot of fun. However we got some kind of like when you get a "cold" in summer that makes you feel dizzy and not fully concentrated. Yeah, Casinos can be used as a form of entertainment, but the disadvantage is that one can get addicted to it at some point. There are so many other forms of entertainment out there like a game center if you're into games, parks with family and friends, a bar or a nice restaurant, a play house etc. There are so many entertainment centers you can visit out there with family and friends where everyone there are there to have fun.

In a casino, you probably are going there for fun, but a lot of the other players there are there to make some money. Not everyone in the casino have the same objectives as you, so you're potentially exposing your loved ones to some form of danger and odd scenes. Don't treat casinos as a fun place, a casino isn't meant for just "fun", there are so many fun places out there that will be much more suitable for a good fun time with family and friends. The emphasis should be that you are going about it the right way and not trying to change the motive why you gambling for the sake of fun and relaxation to winning by all means. the right way to gamble or enjoy the casino is to only do it once in a while and probably on a weekend when you are just trying to cool off from a long week of active work. that way, you know that you can only use a certain amount for it afterwards you can just move on to face the next week on active work. if you go about gambling in that way, it is practically impossible for you to get addicted.

First, I don't care about the "bad news" on TV and mainstream media(wars, climate change, natural disasters, etc.). I don't worry about things I cannot change and have no control over. I have never thought in my lifetime "hey, life sucks, let's gamble to distract myself".
Second, there are way better ways to have fun and relax during the weekend(that don't require spending money). Gambling is fun, when done  in moderation, but many people lose control over their behavior and gambling becomes stressful and frustrating.

Yes, but it short lived though, and after a couple of years of playing and even if you win some, at some point you will have to go home. Maybe the adrenaline is still there and you might forgot about your issues in life.

But tomorrow it could be the harsh reality, waking up, doing the same routine over and over again.
