I am posting on politics and society board very well. Xal0lex can be harsh for locking topics and referring people to post on the existing topic that is the same because he does not want many topics to be posted about the same thing. There was a thread that he told me to provide the link to my claim which is good and I did that. I like how politics and society board is because he is a good moderator there.

Moderators should still be allowed to have personal opinions which can be controversial. If he had been discussing whether the thread that was initially in question should be deleted or not, i'll be worried about them being fit.

You are making a mistake, he did not accuse you but wanted to know why you are bothering to delete the thread.

You may have a good reason to delete that post. Paying attention to something like spamming on your local board does not mean you are seeking a personal interest, although I agree with you on that. But as a moderator he has the right to question you. There he just threw a question at you. But you probably took that as an accusation and started arguing with him for the first time, calling him stupid. We will see what happens next. As far as I can see, you raised your opinion about deleting a certain service from the Spanish section, and Xal0lex asked you a question on why you think that is necessary. Things went off the rails after that, so I'm not going to comment on it.

Your response is that it is probably automatically translated. However, you need to be certain that it is a bad translation or a poorly done job to have it removed from your regional board. A moderator will not necessarily act on uncertainty.

Every moderator has their own opinion, as they are individuals with unique viewpoints. Since you are too focused on precedent, look at Lauda aka LaudaM. He was a moderator here, and he would have shredded you with his opinion if you think staff should always remain neutral and elegant.

Unless there's a rift between you guys in another thread, if it was all in the thread you referenced, Xal0lex asked a question. Even if you perceived that his question wasn't neutral, you would have given him the benefit of doubt my responding without an insult in the first response.

Just that you saw him as a forum moderator magician that was supposed to know your good intentions to clean the forum without questioning.

Moderators are forum users, and they shouldn't always carry their moderation badge and ego around the whole forum, which is the reason why out of their moderation zone, they are named staff. They have their individual opinions outside their board of assignment.

Concerning being called out as a moderator - Politics and society board is a controversial board, no one will moderate there without being call out, if not because of Russia/Ukraine, it will be US/Iran/Israel, etc

I will like to seek your indulgence on this Don Pedro Dinero to let go, sometimes we get people interpret what we are projecting the wrong way, am not saying this applies to the case here, but just know that anything could spark a misunderstanding between two people especially when they both don't have the same view on a particular discussion, everyone tends to present his own approach and sees the other one has been wrong.

Sometimes you discover the newbies saying that the forum is hard to understand, members attacking them with criticizing words and so on, which is how they may feel but that wasn't how the actual condition is, let's just take it that forum is for fun and sometimes we may need to argue some things with each other and still come back in place as members of the community.

Sometimes I do see myself as someone who might have even stepped on others unknowingly, and that is life for you, people got provoked about you even on what you don't know you did to them, but when things like this happen, it is in the best of interest to ensure that both sides got the right intervention and everyone go amicably without hurting each other.

He's definitely someone who has a very high opinion of himself, but that shouldn't surprise you considering he has the full support of the admin even when he's proven completely wrong. He also shows a high degree of disrespect towards anyone who dares to question his moderation - because he is the big boss behind the sledgehammer, and the rest of us are, as he puts it, kids.

One crazy thing about this forum is every once in a while we are gonna get drama and i get i'm gonna count this as one of them. Well back to topic, your thread content would have matched the title if only you had real reasons he is not fit to be a moderator but reading through your thread i see personal issues.

I know there is total free will on this forum and the internet as a whole but one thing I try to urge is the way you pass your message across to someone. Sometimes here we get unnecessarily rude in minute cases where you can just air an opinion without sounding offensive. anyways that's just my 2 cents.

I was reading your discussion when you were discussing it. When you called Xal0lex an idiot, I knew something was going to happen. From what I know about Xal0lex, he often takes a stand against spam. I think theymos is a pretty smart guy. If Xal0lex wasn't qualified to be a moderator, theymos wouldn't have put him in this position. So we'd be fooling ourselves if we said whether Xal0lex is actually qualified to be a moderator. I've seen him identify and take action against many spam threads many times. The most important thing is that he is quite active and responsible in the forum. I think it would be better if you didn't go any further on this issue. Because I don't think he is at fault for what you are accusing him of. Don't get me wrong, you are a smart guy. So you should have thought more about opening a thread on this issue.

Actually there’s nothing in your OP to suggest or prove Xal0lex unfit to be a moderator. There’s nothing happening in your referenced thread other than two people arguing and you decided to go off the rails by the name calling and insults. Maybe you rate moderators too high and forget they’re humans and may have differing opinions even the ones we might think is below them OR you have other issues with him which is not referenced here.
You can calmly let this go or resolve your issues as Adults without the insults.
