It seems always strange to me that Champions League winner and Europa League winner would face off. After all these are leagues at different levels. However in the final both teams have defeated their opponents and won their respective trophies. Maybe the difference in caliber isn't that great, but Champions League winner is still a much bigger team.

PSG is the favorite in this match. The unknown factor here is that this match is being played at the start of the season. The players played in the World Cup after completing a very long season. For many top teams, it's late to start the season with a full roster. Players may not be mentally or physically ready for the new season. Perhaps that's why Aston Villa might have a chance in this game.

I admire the fighting spirit of Aston Villa, they didn't allow PSG to belittle them at half time which is a brave mentality right there.
