For Madjo, this was a match that introduced him to world football. Moreover, he managed to score a goal in that match. He's a strong player like Haaland, and he's only 17 years old. His future looks bright. We'll definitely see him in many matches this year under Emery at Aston Villa. It seems like a new pivot striker is emerging in world football. He's still developing and may grow taller. If you use this to your advantage, it will be very difficult to stop him in a few years.

I was actually going to say that both teams looked very well prepared to me. Aston Villa matched the european champions, and Barkley really impressed me with his performance. There were still quite a few things missing, but for a match like the super cup, we watched more than a good game. Somehow, i have a feeling that PSG could win the UCL again. The team is excellent, and if they improve their form even further, they will have a very good chance of being among the favorites to win it again.

I bet on PSG to lift the trophy, BTTS, over 2.5 goals, over 2.5 cards, Safanov to make +2 saves, and over 9.5 corners. They all played except for the corner option that spoiled my bet. The match produced just two corners.

Even before the match started, we knew that PSG will win it. PSG dominance against English team continues. Aston Villa acted as if they can make something out of their performance in the first half but it they ended by losing the Super Cup to PSG. At first, Desire Doue's goal looked like offside to me too. I think the defense was very sure it was offside, which is why they slowed down. Maatsen and Torres should have stayed in the play and made the tackle. Only Matty Cash knew he had broken the offside line. That's why you have to keep playing until the whistle blows. There was no doubt PSG was going to win the super cup and they didn’t need the extra time to do it. That’s the sort of quality you have in PSG and Luis Enrique since he got PSG their first champions league and was able to defend it, the winning mentality in the team is unmatched.

Madjo, how strange though has being able to bring himself into focus with the team. Just this one game and he was able to get in good positions that puts him where he could net a goal, got Aston Villa their only goal of the match before he was substituted out and had a good performance today.

Check your post and edit it, were you said UEFA World Cup. UEFA don’t have any competition know as UEFA World Cup. FIFA is the body the is responsible for organizing World Cup tournaments.

There has been a lot of missed goal opportunities in this second half so far. We might not see more goals on this game because we have two minutes to go exclusion of additional time.

It seems like Aston Villa is putting all their striking force on Madjo but he isn't clinical enough but I believe that with time, he will do better than this. There's an additional five extra minutes.

This match is interesting to watch, both teams play good football and as a final match, the score line wasn’t bad at all despite the chances being lost by both the teams in the second half precisely, but I understand the fact that it is a final match, and it is not supposed to have many goals if all the teams are good and worth being in that position to play the final.

I took this bet btw. I even included the 1UP variation on one of my  bets and that version won in the first 30 minutes and scored by none other than Kvaratskhelia. I said it yesterday that the fact that he didn't play in the world cup meant that he would be a weapon for PSG and ge proved it.

I'll commend Aston  Villa though. If you look at this game, you'll agree that PSG should've destroyed them with bare minimum 2-goal margin and probably more. But it was close. I underestimated Aston Villa in the game but when they came back after PSG took the lead I knew that we are going to witness a very competitive finals. Good game from both sides tonight but it's unfortunate that Aston Villa couldn't stop the two teams champions League winners and also the defending champions of the finals that was played today. The Super Cup match was entertaining and exciting. As many expected, PSG ultimately won the trophy once again.
If Aston Villa had managed to convert the chances they created, they might well have been the ones lifting the trophy today.
In my opinion, the scheduling of this match was a bit off. Had it been played after the league season started but a week before the Champions League kicked off, we might have seen a higher-quality match with more goals. There is a clear difference in quality between the two teams.
PSG has now made it two wins out of two in the Super Cup. Their next goal is to make it three out of three, though that is by no means an easy task.
After all, the successes expected of PSG are winning the Champions League and the Super Cup.
PSG is already the overwhelming favorite in the French league.
Winning that league title is considered a relatively routine achievement for them.

I would say, this tactics really worked for PSG and Enrique this season, but I don't think it will next season. The tactics is, whenever they are playing an important match, just like the UCL finals, they start the first half confused, they play like they are the underdogs, but Immediately the second half begins, they dominate and seize the rest of the game, they start pressing non stop until the final whistle. This same thing happened in the UCL finals against Arsenal, The gunners had all the momentum in the first half and even scored, then reaching the second half, PSG woke up.

With so many Aston Villa players sidelined, there’s no way to say they performed well in yesterday’s match. Only captain McGinn stood out by setting up chances for Madjo. Madjo still lacks the composure expected of a player in a final. Just look at how many chances McGinn created for him and how many Madjo failed to capitalize on—even though he did manage to score one goal against PSG.
Given the list of key Aston Villa players who were absent, there’s no way to say their performance was good, and it’s not certain that even if they had been there, they could have helped Aston Villa win this prestigious title.
