An investor can buy Bitcoin in a large amount at a time if they want.
They can do that but by investing this way: using all investment capital to buy bitcoin with one purchase, they will have no money left for future purchases. Especially if they feel more interested in this market and want to invest more, or when they see better and cheaper prices but can not buy more.

Quote
They can also buy separately depending on the market situation.
It happens but when people let market situation affects their thinking, emotion and decisions, very likely they will fall into a cycle of fomo buying and panic selling that is never good and should be avoided.

Quote
In the DCA method, Bitcoin is bought at regular intervals according to their ability. As a result, if the price is low, they can buy relatively more Bitcoin for the same amount and if the price is high, they can buy fewer Bitcoin. As a result, an average purchase price is created over time. This reduces the pressure of making decisions about every market fluctuation.
With DCA strategy, people can do both purchases and withdrawals comfortably and gradually with time without emotional and psychological effects on their thinking, decision  making and action.

Two websites which are helpful for estimation of entries and exists (profit withdrawals) with DCA strategy.

The halving was hard-coded, but the 4-year cycle was not. If people don't sell in mass when Bitcoin peaks, then there will be no bear season. A time can come when so many people don't sell their bitcoin when the price peaks, it doesn't mean the price will not fall, but there won't be a bear market.
This brings us to the economics of bitcoin, people would always want to make profit, hence they sell at peak and buy when price is low. If not for bitcoin volatility and profitability potential, most investors would not be interested in it. It is not like people just sell their bitcoin, traders are abandoning their positions for profit taking, there wouldn't be time traders would cease to exist, so I don't agree to that point.

People speculate over a lot of things in Bitcoin. Right now, people are speculating about the Clarity Act. People speculated about ETFs, people speculated about Donald Trump winning the election. All these are not hard coded into Bitcoin, they are just economic behaviors and so is people's reaction to the halving.
Like I've already said, the halving is hard coded, but the 4 year cycle is not. If people don't react a certain way to it, then we won't have a cycle, but no matter how bitcoin performs, there will be a halving.
Perception drives adoption, when positive things happen around bitcoin, there is more adoption and the prices moves up and vice versa, although investors are arriving at some maturity and are not quick to dump their coins in the market unlike in the early days.

There is one thing people don’t understand, they don’t understand that traders are still very important for the growth of any cryptocurrency, traders are very important and they are will always be traders no matter how valuable bitcoin is, there will always be traders that will be trading bitcoin in a short period of time.

Some people see trading of bitcoin as a bad and wrong thing to do, but I do not see it that way, there are people making money from bitcoin trading and they are doing very well for themselves, not every trader is losing. I know that traders are losing and gaining but some traders gain more profit than they lose.

Trading is an important part of any live market, otherwise without trading, without buying and selling, it's a dead market. A cryptocurrency with no trading will be a dead one, as nobody want to buy an asset that has no buying demand from other people or companies.

You can consider yourself as a long term investor but investment means both activities: buying and selling, it's only different than traders that investors will buy, then hold a long time before having need of selling and taking profit. However, they will need to be able to sell on the market which needs to be a live one with considerable demand for buying and selling. They need a market with enough trading volume for easy buying and selling anytime they want.

Shitcoins, scam meme coins can have high buying demands in short term but in long term, buying demands disappear and people will no longer be able to sell these scam coins and tokens.
