The confidence of the present Bitcoin investors is still the same as other investors that have been investing in Bitcoin for a long time. The main reason why a lot of people that have been investing in Bitcoin for a long time is because they have lots of reasons to be confident in investing in Bitcoin and on Major reason is because of the fact that Bitcoin was at a low price years ago but now and looking at where it was few years ago and where it is today it means that within a few years it has the capacity to increase significantly.

After seeing Bitcoin get to the current ATH i don't think there's any Bitcoin believer who's confidence won't grow stronger, that's a figure many people doubted but it did and gave many critics a shocker and many Bitcoiners were like, if Bitcoin could get to that height then there's a potential to go higher. Also, you can see how it's holding a strong resistance to drop lower than $60-50k, that's another reason for people to be confident that Bitcoin won't crash but would do a higher number than we could imagine when the bull season comes. Exactly, apart from the new all time high (ATH) so many years ago Bitcoin was barely $500 and then all of a sudden Bitcoin had a huge surge still proving people wrong that it is not like every other asset out there that doesn't have value. Bitcoin started on a rough edge, let's imagine this is a forum, not basically a Bitcoin focused forum, and for example, a new crypto comes out with a very good utility, and it becomes popular in the forum, out of thousands of viewers visiting the forum, probably 1/10 are the only set of people that will pick the idea of buying, by the time the crypto begins to pump and those 1/10 are making tons of profits, the number begins to increases and more people will make up their mind to invest because there has been prove, Bitcoin not only came with a one time prove, it came with proves that are already lasting over decades.

No disrespect to the then investors that believed when there was nothing to hope on as Bitcoin wasn't worth basically anything ($0) but then anybody could hodl because they were buying without any big risks attached hodlimg but now you can't say the same.

It's more difficult now that you actually know that you got something to los and with the previous expectations of market gains,you expect similar gains to be made before investing, it becomes hard tto concentrate so for those who are still able to invest, there confidence to invest is  something else.

Honestly, their is more confidence in the present investors than those of the early investors. Initially, when Bitcoin was in it's young age, only few persons invested in bitcoin, and among the few that invested in bitcoin, not all of those few investors believed in Bitcoin which some of them to sell their bitcoin asset very early.

I understand the aspect you are driving at, and I think you are correct about that. During the early days of Bitcoin when Bitcoin was worthless, nobody took it seriously because it was less than a cent, but today it has increased, it has increased the numbers.

I cannot agree with you. I am a Bitcoin holder but even in this bullish period, my expectations have not been met. I know that Bitcoin has repeatedly broken its previous price and I also expect it to break the ATH record set last October in the future. I am still holding Bitcoin because I have a four-year target and if Bitcoin breaks the highest price record during this period, I will not withdraw my holding.

Those who wait for the price of Bitcoin to increase are not investors. Those who maintain that target and regularly accumulate Bitcoin are real investors. I don't believe that people like Laszlo sold their bitcoins because they didn't believe it will stay till this day. As a matter of fact, he is a real bitcoiner because that singular act of using bitcoin to pay for pizza confirmed to people that bitcoin can be used to pay for the things we buy. Moreover, just because Laszlo used 10000 BTC to buy pizza doesn't mean that was the last bitcoin he had in his wallet. Some early adoptors where practicing bitcoin as money they used for transactions because most of them didn't even know that it has a potential growth and can be used as a store of value.

The truth is that even Satoshi Nakamoto himself would be surprised to how many people have limited the main purpose of his invention or should I say diversified the use of it.
