Everyone Who Still Believes in Bitcoin Is a Bot? Seriously?

The claim that bitcoin has zero use case, zero value, zero users, except speculators is simply broad from my perspective. If you argue that bitcoin utility is limited, or speculation dominates the bitcoin market or bitcoin failed to become a peer to peer electronic cash system, then it is fair enough, because those are debatable arguments. But, saying that bitcoin has no users case or zero use case without providing evidence means your are just blabbing.

You should ask yourself, does Bitcoin solve any problem that the existing financial system cannot solve well?
If it solves then how is its use case zero, or utility zero?
And everyday coffee payment not yet widespread means Bitcoin's utility is zero, it doesn't make any sense to think like that. Widespread adoption still has plenty of time to happen. Besides, there are many commodities that we don't use to pay our everyday coffee bills, but that doesn't mean their utility has diminished

To me Bitcoin's strongest use case is not just price appreciation. Self-custody, permissionless settlement, censorship resistance, borderless transfer and many other things are more important to me. Let those nocoiners enjoy their fantasy.

While i was scrolling through Reddit today i came across this particular post displayed above. To be honest, i have no problem with someone leaving bitcoin or crypto entirely, if you don't longer believe bitcoin has value, utility, or a future, that is completely fine because everyone is entitled to their opinion, what i have problem with is presenting personal opinions as unquestionable fact or calling everyone who disagree with you a bot, gambler or fool, just like this poster from Reddit did.

What do you expect before? Have you seen anyone who is against Bitcoin stay calm without trying to distribute their ignorance to others? You shouldn't be surprised by this because people want to convince others about their beliefs.

This is nothing new, and if you check all over the Internet, those who are against Bitcoin don't stay calm; they must criticize and make points to show Bitcoin is not worth it. At this time, I'm not worried about this set of people because the situation we are in is not hidden from others. I think people know better. Talks like this don't mislead people; they only show the level of one's ignorance.

The biggest problem with acting on emotion is that there's always a high risk of misjudging, insulting, showing ignorance, displaying arrogance, and committing injustices. I understand that he had some kind of high expectations that couldn't be met, and unfortunately, the guy doesn't want to accept that not everything turns out as he wishes. He never called us bots but those who he'd been debating with probably have the same words of "buy right now", "it will go up" all of those words that makes him irritated are just the same.

I understand his point, he's completely free to go away and leave the market as much as he want.

The frustration is there as an investor and that's why he's not going to invest anymore and all the crap that he's mentioned is just what he feels isn't right.

People can dispute about Bitcoin utility, value or future, It's natural, but they can't say Bitcoin have no utility or no real user. Many big company and many countries are  staking Bitcoin for their future.

People can argument about bitcoin but can't say Bitcoin is a bot, scam etc. One day Bitcoin will be the World's most demandable assets.

We don't have to get worried over whatever anyone chooses to call or consider Bitcoin to be, if they have said all that which they have already said in the past I mean those bitcoin haters and it never stopped bitcoin from getting to where it is now, just wondering how bitcoin could be a bot, some people are not just serious at all, some people have already called it scam forgotten that if there are those who has used it for illegal business, it is not Bitcoin's fault but what happened around it. My happiness each time I think about stuffs like this I will say to myself that no one is being forced to have a thing with Bitcoin and just as they also have the freedom of speech to say whatever they like with Bitcoin.

But let's not normalize criticizing bitcoin like its a joke, a useless tool, and worst a get-rich-quick big scheme, because if all of these are true, then we won't be seeing a bigger community that support bitcoin.

If you decide to leave bitcoin or the crypto market for good, do it silently without ruining the reputation of bitcoin and its bitcoin users and holders. Leaving is never a problem, that's an individual's right, but leaving with so much talk only means one thing, you do not hit your goals with bitcoin that's why you become so pessimistic about it. And this is normal for those who keep losing on bitcoin because they're incapable.

Now, if you think we are bots, who cares? We will keep believing in bitcoin as long as its beneficial for everyone. Its just that, bitcoin is not for everyone, and you're probably one of them.

That could be it, but sometimes most of these critics have not even held bitcoin before. They just hate the idea, and they are too obsessed with fiat, so anything that appears to stand like competition to fiat, they just don't find it appealing. I just don't pay attention to most of them who always criticize both bitcoin and us who believe in it.

Let me assume that you are responding to the Reddit poster, and not me.  Because I have never, for once criticize Bitcoin, or called Bitcoin believers bots.  Instead I was provoke after reading the person's post on Reddit, because he was making all those claims about Bitcoin without providing any solid evidence to back them up, which makes no sense to me.  He could have simply left bitcoin and the crypto space quietly without coming online to make those baseless arguments. I don't know what he or she intended to gain from those unsupported claims.

This is not new to the forum. Everyone is free to share their opinion, regardless if its favorable for us or may hurt us just because the idea is negatively bad. But then again, I don't think its right to call us bots, but if we continue to defend bitcoin to a useless person, it may come out like we're real bots.

For the person who created the post in Reddit, are your sure this is your final say with bitcoin? Because you might be surprised one day that everyone here is making good profits since bitcoin has reached its new all time high, and it happens when you're already out in the market.

But you just said everyone is entitled to their opinion, and you still sound a bit bothered with what someone said about Bitcoin, and you/we don't even know the person. Public hate on Bitcoin is nothing new. Peter Schiff has been doing this for years, and probably long before this particular user learnt about Bitcoin. Although, Schiff didn't go as far as calling us a bot, or did he?. As far as Bitcoin is concerned,.all this public hate doesn't change anything. I'm not sure where people get the confidence to discredit  something that has existed and proven itself over the years... But of course, people are entitled to their opinion.

Literally after that comment that has been massively downvoted (literally for no reason...) the account doens't receive "attentions" like before.

I assume that the Reddit poster has lost a valuable amount of bitcoin and that's why he is ranting. I understand his side, but what I fail to understand is that he becomes unreasonable on the contents of his post. Leaving bitcoin shouldn't be done like one leaves and put at fault to others, because for me this kind of post seems relatively like that. The poster should have leave still knowing his limits, and to show to us that he still understands the fact that bitcoin isn't for everyone that's why leaving is already expected.

We live in a society where we can freely share our opinions on a certain topic. However, while you may argue that opinions are purely your line of thought, that boundary must be substantiated at least with some degree of proof.

By claiming that BTC is without any value without substantiating it with evidence (at least preponderance) does not hold any weight to the argument. That is not an opinion- it's an all-out-hate that means nothing and produces negativity in the cryptocurrency world.

That's just hilarious and sad at the same time given that you are being silenced for sharing what you think is an opinion which is substantiated with proof. However when people share their views negatively about BTC, people tend to silence topics that they are against with.

He described the bot to r/bitcoin users; naturally, he could say the same thing to r/gold users, since he was trying to adopt a different "persona" within a uniform space. At the very least, he used to be the most active "bot" on that sub.

Yes, you don't need to be surprised to see posts from people like that, because basically, they are people we probably don't need to pay attention to anymore. Because I'm very sure that people who hold such opinions have probably lost money, whether through trading or other things, so that's why they babble incoherently and say that Bitcoin is useless. In fact, Bitcoin clearly has many uses, such as for transactions between countries and for other transactions.

Furthermore, Bitcoin is also very strong against inflation, and that has been proven. So, I think people who say that Bitcoin is useless, who knows what's on their minds. But there are clearly two possibilities that cause Bitcoin haters to exist: first, because they lost money trading in Bitcoin, or they have never studied Bitcoin at all and are just assuming. You can argue with them all day long and they won't care. Basically, don't feed the troll because they don't have intention to understand in the first place. Some of the people in there even believed that Bitcoin is some kind of money blackhole where you can deposit money but can't withdraw despite ETF which is heavily regulated investment for BTC already existed.

Even if Bitcoin price going to 1 billion dollar they'd find a way to shit on it, don't waste your energy.

I also don't understand the argument that bitcoin being measured in fiat somehow proves that bitcoin supporters don't believe that fiat is valuable, how could that be possible when fiat is still the dominant unit of account globally. Even those who own gold, real estate, businesses commonly measure their value in dollars, euros or other national currencies. using fiat as a measuring unit doesn't automatically mean believing fiat is a superior store of value. feel free to give your two cents on the discussion.

This is a typical approach to anti-crypto discussions, where someone tries to throw all sorts of extreme generalizations out there, like "zero value", "everyone is a bot" - it's easy to debunk because it's so general, so extreme. In fact, it tends to weaken its own case, since as soon as a perfectly good use case appears, it all falls apart.

What's really interesting to talk about are the more moderate claims OP made, such as speculation dominance or bitcoin's inability to reach its P2P cash vision. Those are much more meaningful arguments and they are worth discussing, but with real data.

I mean you are free to do that but I find it filled with trolls and bootlickers. Just like people are free to compare bitcoin to a scam because certain millionaires are also getting their hands dirty with it.

But I would agree that the cultish mindset of the subreddits do exist and is one of the reasons I avoid them.

Either way for whoever sells their coins and leaves, its better for us plebs to buy at lower price.
