The advice wey I fit give to MOD be say: make we sha try this pidgin of a thing for 1 whole year, then if the thing get head and work well, then we dey like that, but if no way, and e make things worse, then we switch over to the current pattern wey we dey use so. And lastly, if we begin use pidgin and some users dey write rubbish, em also dey welcome to delete or move to off-topic for anything wey no dey readable; at least with that pattern, pipo go learn small small.

I too like this suggestion, e too go well. Honestly there is no harm in trying. Make we just try am see if e go work out - it is actually better than doing nothing IMO. As i been suggest before, make we create thread to dey report any suspicious activities, then after report we investigate. The use of pidgin no go be like say na every time, and e no go be like say na all your write up go be strictly English, you fit mix am up.

Most Nigerian can not communicate very well in pidgin I also suggest the usage of both languages because other people can still come in and pretend to be a Nigerian regardless, because if only pidgin is allowed others can still make use of translator tool to translate to pidgin, it will not be very easy to regulate things like this here, so it will not be good while trying to preventing others from trespassing but end up preventing the main Nigerian who can not communicate in pidgin from their board, since others have their own local board I do not think is ight to go to others local board except the law permits it.

There is this question I was going to ask you, but let's keep it outside for now. It seems you guys haven't really understand the angle @SatoPrincess is coming from. Allowing English on this board is not longer healthy for the board, if you can see things from our perspective. I know there are Nigerians who can't read comments written in pidgin, let alone write in it . So even if we will later allow the use of both pidgin and English on the local board, let's clean up the board by simply following what @promise444c5 suggested below.

Maybe we can have some kind of test for every LB members to know if truly they are from Nigeria.. it’s quite simple though.
The test will have to do with writing a short post under your own language in local>others…For example a new member that understands Hausa will write a short post under Hausa thread, Yoruba under Yoruba thread, Igbo under Igbo and so on .

I’m not sure any user can cheat that by using an AI.. The threads can also be created on this Local Board [ or just a single thread but I think that may be too crowded], or whichever decided by the LB member ..

Our general language wey our people understand very well is pidgin English, writing with English language here will attract different people from different boards, because their's no difference between our local board and English board, so if we wam make people wey dey outside our board to find it difficult to post here, na to dey use pidgin all throughout, that rules of make we use pidgin and English to write here, need urgent attention, so that we can focus only in pidgin not English, and we no need to be repeating diz kida of things

I just like that you are not selfish like them, there are some Nigerians that are not selfish and not thinking one side, but this is not going to work. There should be freedom, there are people that speak their local language very well but they are poor in writing it. There are some people that I know that speak english and sometimes speak pidgin but they are poor in local languages. You would have seen such people before also.

You have a good idea and I love the rationale but however I will also love to inform you that AI is now advanced even though we can actually detect native language writings from AI writing but however, you must remember that Nigeria is not just a try tribe country but a multilingual country, at this point the idea is defeated because some people are from the minority groups of Nigeria hence can or cannot comprehend the language of others.

In that case we can have a single thread. At the end of the short note,  language in which they wrote it can be added.

Are you from Nigeria? I know you are a Nigeria but guess you are not living in Nigeria because of what you said. There are many Nigerians that can speak their native language but they can not write it. Some people can hear it but they speak just english and can not write local language.

There are people like Anthony Joshua that are Nigerians but not living in Nigeria.

In that case we can have a single thread. At the end of the short note,  language in which they wrote it can be added.

There are over 250 tribes in Nigeria with different languages. I do not like your proposal.

Do you know that even the pidig can easily be copy by others even if they remove English from it ,many can still communicate well or use translator just to intrude in our local board , but if majority choose the pidig,then we will go with it , because the main important thing is to find a solution to stop other countries from coming to our local board, maybe anyone who isn't good at writing and reading in pidig will learn or better still don't post , at least we just need to put a stop to it before it results to something else for us ,just that Niger is broad and has different local dialect,if not it's supposed to be a particular language that no other people can understand accept us ,but as it stands now it's not going to be easy .

If you are crying out that this is what you want but people are not listening, that means you should stop crying out because you might thought that you are right but you might not be actually be the one that is very right. Everyone should just be left alone to use the language that they want to use so far it is allowed.
