I like as Igebotz don give us permission to moderate our thread from pure English if we want, normally I be advocate of strict pidgin, but I think with this direction, we made good progress with the agitation on this thread.

I no understand wetin you mean by this grammar here too. I believe say  moderation you dy talk about na if we want, no be mandatory, and as no be mandatory pigin, I no think say anything change, because before now, some users dey use pigin or correct English if them want, or e get anything wey I dey miss?

Quick fix;

For those who want only Pidgin speakers in their threads/topics, you can indicate it in the OP, report anyone breaking your topic rules if that'd help so we don't keep having this conversation ( local rules allowed this)

So you can indicate in the OP that you'll only accept pidgin English contributions in your thread, and if someone connects in pure English there, you can use the "report to the moderator" on such replies to cleanup your thread.

This will help to an extent, but it wouldn't completely stop those that just came to spoil the names of Nigerians.

Another types of people that will suffer from this are those people that do not read the op post, but only read the title of the thread and just jump to the bottom to know where the discussion is, for them to dive in from there, but I believe that they will be careful from now on, so that their post wouldn't be deleted all the time.

I would suggest if it's possible that our moderator igebotz make a post about it like an announcement, because I believe that so many users here will be ignorant about this new rules, except those that are aware of this statement he made.

I remember when Brainboss been Dey give out 10 merits weekly to highest posters for the board and trust me, the number of merits fit no big ooo but the competition was very healthy and the na Igeh been Dey compute those results for winners

I hope we go try Dey use more of pidgin for the local board rather than plain English and e even get time for the local board wey most times when I Dey write with pidgin, I Dey edit am because I Dey feel like I Dey use the wrong language for a particular thread.

Looking at the high level of disagreement going on here, I have a simple Idea that might resolve everything...

Since we have 2 languages to choose from and we know that 98% of us Nigerian can comfortably use the both, and we also have visitors that come to our board.
The person coming up with any topic should indicate if the replies should come in either pidgin/English or the both of them.
I think this will satisfy everyone, because then you'll have some topics were you reply in pidgin only,  you also have topics were you can reply in English only, and you have the topics were you can use the both.

The person wey post the topic just gats indicate.

This has already been said by the moderator which I will indicate at the end of this Post. But I no think say that method go iron out the current matta at hands completely since intruder's them go still dey gain access for our LB. But no wahala Shea, everywhere still good , but watin me I wan leave for the mind of those people wey get for mind to come do dirties for our LB be say, 99 days for the thief's, na just one day for the owner make everywhere cast. The issue here is to disallow foreigners in here dropping post. Can't their IP address be tracked. I mean if they use VPN, one day na one day he go cast. I am just hearing my own view. But making the board strictly pidgin no go work ooh. Even if some of us here can write in pidgin, not everybody can actually do it comfortably. But it still can be a room for them to improve. Because on a norms Nigeria suppose make pidgin her official language instead of this borrowed language. Ps
