Well, I was trying to compare something on exchange not just different exchange but same exchange. Last night I was viewing something on Binance exchange with a friend who do uses Binance exchange to trade as well, on my Binance app I was seeing $63,200 and I was also seeing that on his desktop the price is far way higher than mine, which is $63,599. I wanted to know from those that are also using Binance to trade, is it more better to use web version to trade than using app for the trading? How many of you have witnessed this or could it be just a mistake on the app?

I think either your app or the web version on the device was lagging on synchronization, I believe it is the same API they use in updating both of them. you would have refreshed the app and browser and also check if your network is stable to confirm if it still persists, sometimes when network is slower, the app lags in synchronization. It could be one of them that it slower, depending on which of you has a stronger network.

Doesn't matter where you trade. It's most definitely using the same engine and the the same orderbook.
Probably just a display issue, either one of the devices wasn't showing prices in real time, or you were seeing some cached data in a page that doesn't refresh all the time like the trading page does?

Web version is the One that is mostly correct as that do direct with a live update. For instance; the app version of it lack update or you need to clear your cache of the app, some could be history then you have it synchronized together with real price update. Sometimes you need to know the kind of app you are using to trade, because after Binance has delisted Nigerian Naira from their exchange most of the Nigerians do not use them that often since they are out of p2p market, I believe that any is possible and likely to happen on the exchange that was many people from Nigeria are mostly using Bybit exchange to trade since they now have p2p market on their exchange.

That difference is not really significant, if you can take advantage of it then just choose whatever works better for you.
But personally if you're really a trader, I think it's better to use a desktop so you can see things clearly and easily move between the assets you want to trade. Also that price difference is probably just because of how the devices respond. Sometimes the phone is faster than the PC or vice versa, just a little delay you know.

I think either your app or the web version on the device was laughing on synchronization...
That's a logical explanation for that. Again, if OP was viewing the same exchange on different phones and using the app version on both and there's a lag one would suspect difference in the sophisticated nature of phones used. I've noticed the second scenario play out whenever I'm listening to lectures on telegram on two different phones. The more sophisticated phone gets audio ahead. This could also play out in getting news feed like what OP observed with the exchange.

That's simply not possible. Are you sure it was the same pair? You know it would be BTCUSDT spot and BTCUSDT futures, completely different products yet the same pair technically. There are also BTC pairs against USD, USDC, USDS, USD1 both spot and futures. Very easy to confuse. If you're positive the pair was exactly the same, then the possibilities have been posted in here already with the most likely one being a cache issue or the device's hardware struggling to update the prices in time.

They are the same prices both in the desktop and the mobile app. I have also used the Binance desktop app before and I did not notice any difference. It is better you come with images evidence before this can be accepted. Probably you may take the future market and spot market as the same. I have not noticed this on Binance before. The $4 price difference on my own image was the time difference that I took both screenshots.

On your computer, are you using a browser to access Binance or the desktopapp?
Are you and your friend looking at the same chart on the same market? I mean, there can still be a small price difference between the spot and futures market for the same trading pair. Or it could also be caused by some delay depending on the device and internet connection.
Those are the possible reason that come to mind. I don't think Binance would show two different prices on the app and web for the same spot trading pair at the same time.

You are right. The web version usually updates prices more accurately in realtime because it use a websocket connection and is less affected by app side caching. Meanwhile, the app can sometimes display incorrect or outdated data because of caching or synchronization issues. Many users have experienced this before.
However, what do you mean, and what does this have to do with the price being displayed on Binance? I really don't see any connection between Binance delisting Naira and the app or web version showing different price.

You must know that the price of Bitcoin on the spot market and that of fhr future market and what you see as Bitcoin price is mostly established by the activities of trader's on bitcoin price the order book decides what the value of bitcoin will be, bitcoin price on the various exchanges can not be same not only bitcoin but other coins, but the difference won't be so noticeable. But on the difference between Web versions or apps for trading, I have used Binance Web for trading, and for some reason I prefer the web version to the app, since the app needs to be updated constantly to maintain functionality and security.

I always trade on the web version. However, for the same exchange, there should not be such a price difference problem. If you are an app user, you can see if the app is updated to the latest version. And one of your devices might not be getting the data in real time. But ideally, when you open and trade, the price should be the same across devices.

Perfectbaby, this is very impossible, the same exchange will have same price data for all their listed coins and token even if you log in on different devices, doesn't matter whether it's the web or appi version you are logged in with. What I suspect to have cause this anomaly is probably internet connection which did not allow both exchange to have same refresh rate, one is either slower than the other because of poor internet connection. To confirm it's true, I will advice you connect both devices to the same network and log in again.

Your network might be playing tricks on you. Because whether on a mobile phone or web, the price should be the same. You should be able to check the network or device you're using, as the error should be on your end. And if you want to trade, it's best to use a desktop with a stable internet connection, as this will provide a wider view and allow you to easily access various features and tools.

That's a network problem not an exchange problem, you should know that the price of Bitcoin is not stable and you expect it to remain the same with web and version and app version, it can't match. I know you might be thinking of doing arbitraging at this point but that will fail you and don't even try. Check your network connection properly before concluding different in price of Bitcoin on the same exchange with different devices.

I would advice using a desktop instead of a mobile app because the charts may be faster by some seconds to stream feeds on the desktop as compared to the mobile device that may be lagging due to probably data latency. There could also be discrepancy when different products are viewed from either the desktop or mobile apps because the market is different for spot or futures and that's why the difference in price is visible. Mobile app should be helpful more when managing trades if one has to attend to other issues and don't need to walk around with a desktop or laptop in hand and that's the best use case scenario I can portray for both using desktop and mobile app to check current market price at any time.

You are right. The web version usually updates prices more accurately in realtime because it use a websocket connection and is less affected by app side caching. Meanwhile, the app can sometimes display incorrect or outdated data because of caching or synchronization issues. Many users have experienced this before. It is still quite close though, not like there is a huge difference. But yeah, whenever I am making a trade, I always use my computer and not my phone. I am aware that the world is turning mobile, there are even people with no computers anymore. I have met with people, one of my closest friends is an example, they are a married couple, and they do to have a computer at home. Of course they use computers at work, because htey have to, but when they come home, all they have is their phones. They do not even have those tablet things neither, they have just their phones that's it, no laptops, no desktops, no tablets only their phones. They are not traders of course but still, that shows how the world is improving towards mobile, and less towards computer. I have had desktops and laptops since I was a little boy, and I can't imagine a world where I do not have one.

I just prefer to use the CoinMarketCap site to keep updated with the bitcoin prices and I find it reputable. I only use the exchange to facilitate on p2p trading so, I have not actually experienced this encounter of same exchange listing different users different price for bitcoin. And if that is it that using the web version will keep that reputation better than the App, then we should always go for the best with the best price listing. And perhaps I am just learning about this now after reading through the thread.

A $400 gap would be quite lucrative for arbitrage trading, if such a difference truly existed based solely on the device used, though I find that unlikely; nowadays, there is hardly any room for that kind of thing, even between different platforms.

If it is a same market type for example Spot, price must be the same on all devices. Prices will only be considerable different if you are trading on different market types like Spot market and Futures market on two different devices while you don't recognize about that. It is my guess about what you did and what happened with you about considerable price difference. Example https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT?type=spothttps://www.binance.com/en/delivery/BTCUSD_PERPETUALHonestly, I have never experienced such consider price difference on a same exchange, same market type when I check the market on different devices.
