Money is crucial in our daily lives, however once abused, once greed is prioritized, no amount of money will stay in your bank account since being irresponsible will lead to losing all of them gradually, until you get surprised one day that you're already struggling again with your remaining finances.

Self-control and discipline still matter a lot, as much as they are essential in times where you are struggling to accumulate funds, the same way that you have to execute them when you have already earned massive amount of funds. Because otherwise, if you do not get serious with your funds, it will still run out and eventually face a bigger problem, life's survival.

I would say the biggest "problem" of having money is that it comes with lots of responsabilities. You will have to spend your time managing it properly, otherwise, it goes away... People think that to have money is only fun and freedom. But it's not. You have to give up on a lot of leisure to maintain your money or to grow it.

Yes the more money you get means that your responsibilities would increase because your expenses will multiply many times depending on the level that you want to mantain, some people will say the more money you get the more problems you will see but the problems would be nothing if you have money to take care of them. One of the big problems of money is how to manage it, if you cannot manage your riches you will gradually lose it, some people says that it is easier to become rich than managing to remain rich, that is why you will see rich people who became poor due to their poor financial management. Being rich is not only about enjoying luxury lifestyles if you don't work hard to mantain you level or go higher then you will start to go downward which would be very bad. Better not to be rich than becoming rich then fall to become poor, it is usually very deverstating.

That devastation that comes from being poor after being rich at some point of your life, is never something I will wish it happens to anyone, but life happens anyways. But in some instances an individual are responsible for such misfortune, if you are rich don't become too comfortable instead you should keep working more harder in other to have more streams of income, so many people don't survive the devastation of being poor after being rich, life can become miserable that you might not be able to start all over again, some can become depressed and think of ending it all by committing suicide.

You were actually trying to pass a message, but the whole the is not adding up. So just because it takes a lot of time to make plans when trying to get a bigger house, automatically becomes a problem?... I honestly don't know how that fits into the category of problems. It's just like saying... because it takes more time to wash a car and lesser time to wash a bicycle, then owning a car is automatically a problem.

There's no problem with having a greater access to finance, the only problem there is when you don't take responsibility on your finances and you focus more on spending a lot than saving for emergency funds and saving for future investments.

Financial problems happen when you start living beyond your means, when you fail to track of your expenses, thus when emergencies arise, you end up struggling to take loans and drown in debts because of wrong mindset and wrong behavioral habits.

Financial stability without financial discipline is useless. Because you will still ruin all your earnings in the end due to bad financial habits that could drain your bank account and leave you trap in debt. If by financing you mean buying on credit, using certain payment plans, and paying later, that's not bad; it's a convenience. What we shouldn't do is go into debt for a much larger amount; that is, we can't take on debt that exceeds our income.

A bigger house and other amenities do bring more responsibility, but that's fine if we have absolute control of our finances by making appropriate use of available financing and credit.

Op when i first saw the topic, of your thread i was actually thinking that you were going to talk about problems that money cause as a result of one acquiring too much of it. But going through your thread i was actually disappointed because you did not mention anything meaningful rather than talking about how expenses increase as a result of you acquiring more money . Which make no sense to me. What you should know is that, having money is progressive so you dont expect a millionaire to living the live of someone who is earning in thousands.


You don't expect a someone who is financially stable and doing well to live as a poor man. What you should know is that as money comes responsibilities also increases, so money doesn't cause more  problems. More only open more doors because money has different functions which includes solving problems and using it to creating value which in turn will create more money. Exactly, rich men hustle more than the average men because they will want to maintain their status, they have find more money and more sources of income to maintain their status because inflation is affecting everything, that is the reason why saving your money (fiat) in your bank account will never help you; rich men invest on something valuable that can save them tomorrow when inflation is high, they will use that investment to coverup because more responsibility will be pilling up for them which will include family and friends.

Referring a lot of wealthy people as greedy people isn't right, you don't expect them to be relaxed with the money they have, they will have to look for ways to generate more because if they don't find way to earn more or use what they have to do business or invest, time will come when they would have finished all they have, and that will be the time they will regret their actions for not investing.

I want to be rich, but not for some of the reasons you have mentioned in this post. I have so much respect for those who are wealthy yet prefer to live modest lives. Anyway, most wealthy people have invested so much that the profit they get is enough to finance their luxurious lives. If rich people fail to put in place a system that can finance their expenses, they might become broke. That is exactly the way we should approach it lol. There are "ways" to get rich; we can all be rich, and I am not even kidding, we literally can. However, we do not. Why? Because the easiest way of "you know what, I want to be rich no matter what" goes through illegal stuff. Like if you ever want to be a drug dealer, you will be rich, dead or jailed. Do you take that risk? Of course not; some people do, but not us. Sane people do not take that risk, of course. That means there are things more important than money in life, especially life itself. I'd rather be poor and alive and free, than potentially very wealthy but at risk of death or risk of jail. So that means, when we mean "rich", we mean "have a business that makes me a lot of money". And that is not easy; it's not easy at all, in fact.

It takes a long time and luck. Even if you work really hard, I have seen people who work hard all their lives and still not be rich; working hard doesn't guarantee wealth. You do not see any wealthy person who got there while being lazy; every single rich person has been a hard-working person, but just because you may work hard doesn't mean that you will get rich. I know that because I work hard, not these days. These days, I may have something like depression.

It has been a very tough period in my life, and I am slowly getting better, trying to find things that can make me happy. But I have worked hard in my life at many points and did not become rich. So hard work doesn't mean wealth, but wealth requires hard work.

What is the essence of having money when you don't want to spend it on luxury? Will you be here forever to continue enjoying all the money you've acquired? I don't understand why people just assume that people with a lot of money spends it on frivolous things that doesn't have economic values. Must they spend money on what they need all the time? Sometimes a want can also become a need and instead of buying it when needed, you won't need to stress yourself anymore since you already have it. I can remember few times I bought things that wasn't a need to me at that time and I bought them because they were cheap but a time came when the need for those things arose so I just used them without getting a new one and when I tried to find out the current prices in the market i discovered that the price has increased to almost ×2 of what I bought them in the past.
      Some people thinks that rich people are extravagant but they forgot to understand that comfort comes with extravagance and it's only when you get rich that you will understand why they do some of the things they do that ordinary people will see them that they're wasting their money. What you should advise rich people is for them to make sure that their source of income is active and they should never stop earning but so far as their income keeps coming timely, they will get back any amount they spend on frivolous item's.

You can't be wrong with money if you only know how to play the game, how to spend and save, and how to make use of money for investments. People who have more money have even bigger advantage than those who lack an amount because they can maximize the opportunities to become richer and accumulate more wealth.

Talking about relationships like in the family or whatever it is we can not hit all flat because in fact rich or poor it does not become a benchmark.

You can never 100% satisfy human wants, no matter how much money you get today, by tomorrow you will want something else, thats just the human mind. There is absolutely no ceiling to wants as well as there is no celing to the problems we face everyday. The more money and access you have, the more open you are to bigger problems that needs solving. I wouldnt say money is evil or anything like that but the more money you get in this life, i have noticed it usually attract problems that the common man wouldnt even notice or ever face in his life time. I guess if you truly want it all, you also have to accept the consequences that comes with having it all.
