Life threatening challenges has been an exceptional reason why anyone can sell their Bitcoin investment but only when they must look around other means of generating the funds and no other ways except selling their Bitcoin investment, no doubt people have the right to do whatever they want with their Bitcoin but it really has to be something we can boost of talking about why it was sold so we don't end up regretting it in the future, I believe that alot of people has fallen victim of this circumstance, they don't just regret selling it rather they regret the reason why they sold it probably it never worth it.

I can't blame the people for doing that because not everyone entered when bitcoin worth few hundreds now it is one of the most expensive asset in the world so they are trying their best to find the right bottom to buy and top to sell but in reality it never works like that, we should be lucky even if we got one among the two right.

Of course, we can't blame the people who try to buy at the lower price. During this bearish season, all people must hope to buy at the bottom. However, the safest way should be DCA, we but at varied prices. We don't know whether we can succeed to buy at the real bottom or not. If we do DCA strategy in accumulating Bitcoin, we can ensure to buy at any moment of cheap prices. However, we must determine in which price to start DCA and when to stop it. I personally start my DCA when Bitcoin price dropped below $60k few months ago. I will stop it when Bitcoin price will be above $80k. I only keep 10%-15% of my funds for accumulating at the price $75k-$80k. How about you?

It depends on the purpose of a person.  If the person is holding for a long time, then what your stated strategy make sense.  But if the person is here to day trade, then your opinion is not applicable.

Aside from that, the best strategy is not always the boring ones, there are strategy that needs interactive engagement where a person needs to time their trade, especially when they are dealing with high volatility, highly hyped, cryptocurrency investments.

The boring one only applies to an investment that needs years of waiting to get a good profit, but we all know that cryptocurrency investment is not always like that.

Actually I think it won't, but I can relate with your opinion to some extent, because in 2023 I was DCAing, and I accumulated an amount and after hitting a specific number I said this is enough I just want to learn about it, so I stopped accumulating more at $40k so that holding is still in profit even in the worst case of bear market which was at $58k almost.

Means I was able to buy at a range you can call bottom, now maybe Bitcoin will never go below that point, but the whole point is I was focused only on accumulating, I was not saving dollars for worst case scenario because at that time I knew that BTC is going to take a big flight, it is not going to hit $40k anytime soon and my gut was right.

But it can't be the same for everyone, people who bought at $60k to $65k range might be thinking this is not the bottom, but I think it was a good range to buy some, so those who bought 50% and the rest they keep in dollars for the bigger dumps is useless to them but what if market dumps again from $80k because we know there are fake pumps to trap short term holders and to clear weak hands so market can dump again, worse this time. So anything can happen. I have not yet discussed the importance of those 50% stablecoins in terms of discretionary income and emergency funds etc.

Yeah, I also agree with you at this point because literally I was just discussing the same thing a while ago on another forum. And according to my personal point of view, we are right now stuck in a double-minded situation where taking any big action is really worthy and the result of any big action can be bad or wrong depending on the situation of the bitcoin market in the coming days. But if you are the person who is the horse of long term race, then accumulating little by little using the DCA strategy can be a way more helpful thing than one can think, right?

Do investors check the chart every five minutes, checking the chart is more likely common within traders well, investors also are allowed to observe the market price if they’re comfortable with and never get tempted. If you have a life threatening challenge, and you have no other means to take care of the problem which you having, I see no reason why you shouldn’t sell your bitcoin. You just have to sell it to take care of the necessary things which you are suppose to take care of. We should know that we won’t be holding bitcoin forever, but if we are selling, then the money should be used for something reasonable.

Why should anyone discourage people not to sell their investment if they run into problems, you are not helping them and they have problem to solve and yet you don't want to help them, what do you want them do if not their investment. I don't see any problem selling Bitcoin especially if you are in profits, do it if you are into challenges especially health and anything that has to do with your life. When you bounce back, you can buy again and hold for long term.
