The reason for the poverty of a country is not the lack of a financial plan, but the lack of implementation of that plan. The main reason for the plans not being implemented is corruption. Poor countries also make economic plans every year to overcome poverty, but 50-70 percent of the budget prepared for the implementation of the plan is lost due to corruption and the remaining money is used to improve the economy of the country, which is not enough.

For example, you can look at India. They deserve a better position, but due to corruption, 5% of the people in their country still earn less than $ 3 a day and about 25% of the people earn less than $ 5 a day. They even have to fight for water, fight for education and fight for housing in some states. Despite a huge population, India is ranked 5th in the world in terms of GDP. If they could control corruption, then maybe their position would be in the top three countries. You can even look at countries like Nigeria, Iraq, Venezuela and Pakistan. They have the resources to get out of poverty and they also have the people to arrange financial plans, but they are still very much behind due to corruption.

Financial plans for a developed economy are of no value if those plans are not implemented. The main obstacle to implementing plans is corruption. That is, these countries should arrange and implement plans to combat corruption, then there will be no obstacle in planning and implementing plans to improve the country's economy, and the country will also develop.

Literally, EVERY single country could be a good country if people all agreed to it. It's not even about the president of that country; it's about the public. Sometimes, nations like China, for example, do change things and become the biggest nation by putting misery on its people, so that future generations would live better. For example, if you are someone who is just starting work today in China, you will get a ten times better life than your father and a hundred times better than what your grandfather had to face.

People literally died from hunger two generations ago, and people would jump off factories from over-exhaustion a generation ago; now they are the biggest and living a better life. Nobody says you need to face that kind of misery, but we should find a way to make this happen without being forced to. We should all get together and try to make our nation better. It will be good if a country realizes its mistakes and make the necessary changes, but not all countries will take the bold step especially a country that doesn't even realize they have make mistakes, let alone correcting them and that is because they don't care about the welfare of their people. Which they don't pay enough attention to the development of their country. The only time they will come forward is during election and be making promises they can't fully fulfill. If a country has a strong economy, then obviously its capacity to manage basic problems like unemployment and poverty increases. So, what are your thoughts about it? I think you agree with it because, to prove it, we have a prime example of China. We saw in some decades China showing a strong position in every field of life to the world, like in technology. They beat Americans. In the end, they become superior day by day in every field; the reason behind it is their strong and wise divisions, which they take on time.

For successful economies, the main thing I observe is that they do not chase failed policies because, after the implementation of any policy, they observe whether some improvements require them to fulfill it,t and if it doesn't work, they leave it and make an alternative policy, which is the actual way for the success of that policy. What do we think about developing countries like Pakistan that can identify their fault in politics? According to mine, if leaders become sincere, then automatically they make positive decisions, which helps a lot to improve the economy. If a country has a good economy the currency of that country becomes strong and have good purchasing power, employment rate will increase, poverty will reduce, citizens will leave a good life, there will be less crime, more infrastructures will be built across the country, and it will attract foreign investors which will strengthen the economy the more. The reason why some countries are growing greater than other countries is because of economic polices. The government of those countries are working so hard to ensure the safety and stability of their countries. China has been through a lot of the challenges that some countries are facing right now, and if they can overcome the challenges, then there is possibility for other struggling countries too. But the major problem now is that the government is not attempting to take any favourable step, I wonder how those countries intend to achieve economic growth and development like other stabilise countries. Government has to set some rules that no one must violate despite being rich or poor, just to ensure the safety of the citizens, and it should take actions whenever anyone breaks the rules despite their social class, this will definitely help to reduce insecurity and corruption. Government has to make proper plans if they want their countries to be better like other countries.

Not only a country but let us analyze this from the micro union of the family. If the father is poor, things are barely done right but when he has money, things would be alright. Now from the micro economy to the macro economy, economy is the Super Structure of the Nation and anything that happens to the Super Structure, it affects the substructures which are the institutions. And why the third World Nations are still swimming in poverty is because their leaders are 100% corrupt and self-centered.

The example you game, China realized their weak point first before embark on the National Planning Program and the leaders who came to the corridor of power, came to develop the country and was not there to embezzled the National Wealth. The worst part is that, the citizens who are suffering in those countries are supporting those correct leaders if not why would a reasonable person will still be interested to vote a leader that is making the whole Nations Citizens to suffer. A nation with a growing competitive economy is a nation with less to nearly no corruption at the helms of affairs and with a working legal system that is independent enough to convict any fellow regardless of your position if found faulty of the law.  China economic sprank came at the very moment it dealt with corrupt leadership problems, because when there's much corruption in the system there's gonna be no progress in any policies and plans. But I can assure you, things aren't going great in China either. They can act as if nothing is wrong among each other, but when it comes to international markets, it becomes very clear. One big example is that, they had their own sort of 2008 as well, they had billion dollar companies bankrupting and crashing because they made buildings they believed would sell, and none of them did, so there are brand new buildings with ghost town emptiness all around China right now, dropping in price so much that companies may start selling them for almost nothing just get rid of the cost of running the place and keeping it from becoming dirty unkept places.

Indeed corruption needs to be control to make the country develop, because without corruption free in a country it will just be as if nothing has been done. In any giving offices that has to bring development to country has to be corruption free, office like Ministry of economics, ministry of defense, ministry of infrastructure and rural development and to mention few of them.

The above mentioned offices play key roles in developing a country. like defense needs to be free from corruption by not leaking information insurgents i.e spying. And again when funds are given to buy weapons, they should make sure they buy correct weapons not outdated weapons that will be giving militaries problems whenever they are in battlefield, because this is the problem we are facing in my country.

I agree that it was not just a matter of having a plan for China to make the progress that it did. What I like about them is that they are flexible enough to change policies once they have seen the output. A plan can fail  when we don't accept failure, the same mistake becomes a problem. China's developments since 1978 offer a good example for such adjustments, slowly bringing more market-oriented policies in place and opening China's economy. Thus, perhaps the important lesson to learn is to give your economic planning room to adjust to the failures, since it is not the first plan that should not be changed.

It takes atleast two generations of leaders who has the zeal and ambition to better his country for the future like what Deng Xiaoping did in the late 1900's, because most thing about leaders from where am from is this excessive greed to take there share, condemning the rest of the country for the future of there own individual generations survival. China is one of the most powerful countries in the world, especially as you said, China is the second largest economy in the world. Their main policy is to achieve self-reliance, that is, not to be dependent on other countries. As a result of the honest thinking and implementation of the rulers of that country, it has transformed from an underdeveloped country to the best economy in the world.
The people of that country are obliged to obey the government's policy of forcing citizens to obey the law and improving their financial situation through hard work. Due to this obligation, the citizens of that country are living a hard-working and disciplined life. I doubt that the majority of Chinese are well off, the issue with Macro-data is that there are many factors missing.


Take the average income,  if from 30 million people 2 million have more than a million yearly income,
5 million make 100.000 a year,  10 million make around 50 000 a year and so on.
The lower Rest are million which don't have more than 2 000 a year.
The average will be high though.

China is one very good practical example that a bunch of random policies without implementation is not a path to economic success but having a long term consistency for an already established policy does. So many underdeveloped nations also change or write new economic policies or strategies whenever a new government attains power. Constantly doing that does not give any forum for them to trace back on their failures as collective stakeholders who want betterment for their nation and nobody is legally held accountable for past mistakes or blunders, everything gets swept under the rug just to protect political interests or careers.

Are you saying planning doesn't have any ounce of failure in it? China has obviously tried severally and failed severally, the thing that got them to where they are is they learn from such mistakes. Have you forgetten when all of china goods is considered fake? Can you say that about now. You see, all they did and are still doing is learning from their mistakes. That's the way to actually grow properly. And when I say learn from mistakes, I don't mean actually doing stupid mistakes that one wants to learn from. You know what I mean.

All countries have their own set of mistakes and failures that until now they keep on working. China isn't an exception, even US itself is often seen creating different mistakes and failures but they learn from it and grow their own economy.

Intensive planning is very crucial for any country, but it does not hold guarantees that all plans are subject for success. There are always setbacks and losses, that's why they don't just stick to a single plan, but have plan B and plan C if the plan A fails to work. China has made massive mistakes before it was able to experience its rapid economic rise.
