Yesterday being the 18th of August makes it 18 years bitcoin.org was created, the first website created by Satoshi Nakamato for bitcoin, history will never be forgotten and at the same time we have to remember how it all started and the source, I know this would have been discussed in the past but I decided to created a thread in remembrance of the day, making it 18 years ago. Coincidentally, it was created on the 18th of August. I checked the meta board, and I see no discussion was made on this to mark the day.

Today, we have Bitcointalk.org, which is well recognized and serving its intended purpose. This is why we all come together today on this forum to discuss Bitcoin, regardless of our location or background.

We may also find out some other Bitcointalk's important historic changes while some experience member could also give further information/clarity regarding all that has been said.

Thought of bringing this to our notice and to also passing the information to other members who are new to the forum or Bitcoin.

If this thread is created in remembrance of the day, there was an already existing thread about it that was posted not quite long, but it has limited information.

According to information on Bitcoin.org, the domain was register and owned by Satoshi Nakamoto and Martti Malmi, as they were the  first two Bitcoin developers. I wonder why we don't mention Martti Malmi too, he helped develop and maintain the websit, Satoshi even asked that he handle the FAQ and documentation.

For me, I don’t know all the players of my favourite team, Argentina. I only know Messi and two or three more players. So probably there was a team behind the Bitcoin creation, but the team leader was Satoshi Nakamoto. That’s why Martti Malmi hasn't been mentioning around here.

Back to the topic, most likely the website is just a reflection of Bitcoin. Because I believe the project was completed or nearly completed before purchasing the domain. Definitely a remarkable date since online adaptations began through the Bitcoin website.

Um, it feels nice being reminded just in case we forget or bringing it to the knowledge of the newbies of this side of the bitcoin forum drawing an awareness about an existing bitcoin site that was being created by the legend the developer of this same forum. Martti Malmi is said to be behind the development of the site too probably like the reflection of Theymos positioning in the bitcointalk.org forum.
The bitcoin.org still look active though but not as effective as the activities here in our discussion forum.
We still have the best here as you can interact live, have fun with others and be educated according to your interest.
Theymos is really doing well to keep this forum alive and usefully updated.

Seeing stuff like this make me even more grateful that the change in forum didn't even hold or rather wasn't practical later on. The forum hasn't really changed Una bug deal in terms of view from when satoshi was around till now and it's part of what make the place really unique..

Today you barely have communities that would hold up this long. That aside to validate your comment bon lasting... I'm very optimistic we are gonna experience another 18+ years nothing seems to be defying that at the moment.
