Could $70,000 be a Bull Trap?

I know some of us would have speculated on the market and had the idea of seeing Bitcoin pump a little bit and cross 64,000 to maybe $65,000 or even pump to $66,000, which is very possible, but maybe never expected to see it at $70,000 within a few hours; sorry to those who have taken a short position in future trades. This is not where I am heading towards, by the way.

Could it be that this is a bullrun market trap? Are we still going to experience a sudden fall at any time that could dip down to $65,000 and further plummet below $60,000 with time, I know that the market could be unpredictable in some certain situations, whereby you discover that a sudden event of breaking news caused the market to react, possibly some whales could also be performing some market manipulations, this is just my personal assumption anyway.

The question is: are we truly up for the $70,000 market zone, or is this just a freaking fake-out performance, deceptively?

For me, $70k could indeed be a bull trap, but I think it’s still pretty early to know for sure, we’ll only get to really find out if Bitcoin is able to hold this level as support for much longer time   If in a few days or weeks it go right back below $65k, then we can be really certain about the fake out theory you mentioned, but if after sometime it’s still able to consolidate above $70k, then I guess we can confidently assume that bullish move may have just started. So now is a time to sit and watch and not to jump to an immediate conclusion.

Don’t you think you’re being too hasty with your conclusions?

As much as we all would love to see a new ATH pretty soon, I still have reasons to believe that your speculation is far from being accurate. I’m not saying it’s wrong but I believe you’re speaking totally from sentiment and purely from a speculative perspective.

Like I said, this isn’t a time to draw such conclusions, this is a time to wait and observe the next move of the market, because from what I know, the market can be really unpredictable.

Actually, isn't this exactly what was expected? The hype surrounding Bitcoin rising above 70k seems like a trap.
So there's no need to fall for FOMO. Bitcoin has only been rising for a few days. To truly see if the market is strengthening, you need to look at volume, liquidity, and how long the rise is lasting. Instead of jumping in at the peak out of fear of missing an opportunity, waiting for a clearer move might yield better results in the long run.

Although I don't know much about trading, I have very little knowledge about trading and I am very inexperienced in analyzing the market. But some people's market analysis seems to suggest that it can really bring a big market crash. If there is a big crash in the Bitcoin market, then I will definitely be very happy and it will be the best news for every investor and they will try to use this crash properly and they will definitely become aggressive during this crash.

It doesn't seem like the price of Bitcoin will be 30k, but the Bitcoin market may fall. So the person who waits for the price of Bitcoin to fall to 30k during this crash is definitely a fool and may have to regret his decision a lot. What makes you think that we will go on a new all-time-high? I know that it is possible, but there should be at least a reason for that specially that we are still in the bear market. Or maybe we are out of it and reaches the bottom, but a new all-time-high this year will really break a cycle.

And if that happens, then halving event might not be the only factor for a bull run. In any case, it could really be a bull trap because of the sudden spike in price without any reasons at all.

I do agree with you on this, but only to an extent though. It takes more than just a few days of upward movement to actually confirm a strong trend, especially in situations and times that FOMO and hype are driving attention. I’d rather just sit back, relax and watch whether the this sudden move is actually supported by healthy volume and sustainable momentum before drawing or arriving at a conclusion that Bitcoin is actually prepared and ready for another run for an ATH.

The all-time high (ATH), which currently stands at $126,000, was set about 11 months ago. By the way, have you considered a new ATH at $150,000? Isn’t that a bit too soon? If $150,000 were to be reached in the near future ^{I’m still not convinced}—to me, that wouldn’t be the expected ATH because the multiplier for the next ATH could be higher than $150,000.
My question is, why are you rushing to get there?

Anything can happen. I don't think the sudden increase in price is a trap. Until now, people were complaining about the volatility of Bitcoin being boring; at least this increase is to prove that Bitcoin has not changed from what people are thinking about. It still remains the same, and it is also unpredictable. For those who are buying to hodl, even if the price of Bitcoin falls, it won't change anything because it is expected for anything to happen. But as for those who are interested in buying Bitcoin when the market is showing a bull sign, if it drops, it can be seen as a trap for them. Buy with a clear mind, and let the target be to hodl; whatever happens in the markets will be an opportunity.

Don't get it wrong here, we are still in the bear season, only considered for bull season to set in place when we are at about 98% to 2028 halving, but once there is no halving, everything will only be revolving round below $126,000 and from what I am seeing, we may only fall below $100,000 all through this year with Bitcoin market price.

We're still in the sensation of this recent pump and no one can say you exactly if this is a trap or the ending of the bear market. No one knows and only time can tell when there's a validation and confirmation of what we're actually right now. Just brace yourselves whatever will come in the next few days. If the price skyrockets in a short span, expect a correction will come. When? we don't know as well, we're all speculating and waiting for either of them come.

Many have been talking about the recent spike of Bitcoin price which has crossed over $70k. This might be because previously Bitcoin was in a pretty boring market situation for quite a while. Traders were only speculating on the unpredictable market movements. Now there's a breath of fresh air that makes many people excited about the price increase that's happening. Whether it's those who profit from trading or those who already thought the market was getting out of the bearish trend. 

The rise happened pretty quickly, so let's see what happens in the next few days. Will it manage to hold at $70k, or will it correct again? But I think if it does correct, it probably won't go back below $60k.

I'm seeing a lot of people online calling this a bull trap.  It very well could be, but we are also close enough to the bottom of the 4-year cycle that it could also be big investors front running the bottom.  I'm leaning towards that camp if we don't get a correction soon.  I was expecting to be able to buy below $60K a month from now, so I am watching and trying to learn something.

This sudden bullish behavior seems suspicious to me, I never expected Bitcoin to cross $70k so quickly. Like many others, I had strong expectations that Bitcoin would be limited to $65k-$70k and would move around this price range for a few months. But the current market is forcing me to change my expectations.

I can't think of Bitcoin as bullish right now, but it is more likely to be a bull trap. There is very little chance that the market will continue to move forward from here. It would be wise to expect a major decline. The market is not going according to plan, it is suddenly running like a mad horse

In my opinion, the market actually moved too fast starting from $64k without any correctional movement, which is making me believe that the price could still dip to around the zone where the spike started but what I still have doubt about is the speculation of some persons that are saying that Bitcoin will fall to $30k which they believe is the last bottom. We can not accurately tell what will happen next, price can still do what it wants to but might not bottom below $58k again,  even if it's going to fall from the resistance zone it's reacting to.

This sudden pump of price in the market smells a little fishy because clearly there was no single reason to point at that would look organic as to why BTC price moves like a jet within a day. Clearly it was a violent short squeeze that liquidated short positions, the market looks like it was artificially inflated, so it is way too premature to celebrate a possible bull run. There is still high probability that the market will pull back. Besides whales love to hunt liquidity and this might just be a way to trap late buyers before a massive rug pull.

Can't blame them to think about that way, because we are seeing Bitcoin declining so bad for many months. Also there are lots of people think that what happen is due to hype on recent actions done by US.

But hopefully market can prove those negative assumptions wrong and it continue to climb then break the $80k - $85k, since this will change those negative sentiments and people will start to think that bullish movement legitimately start to occur.

So let's see if this is just really a bull trap or just a good situation on which market starts to recover again.

Many people believe that a bull run is in sight & bitcoin will continue to rise, For me this is a trap this increase will not last long or be able to fly past $ 80k, if there is an upward spike then there will also be a downward spike, we are just waiting for the downward spike it seems this increase is only temporary even though it is accompanied by positive news, we will see when many people flock to sell their bitcoins again
