Can a minor get involved in Bitcoin?

Minors can learn about Bitcoin and even get involved. There have been several efforts by people, organisations and even government like that of El Salvador to teach Bitcoin to children in elementary schools as a way of making them get involved at an early age. This shows that anyone, irrespective of age can get started with Bitcoin. Just like it is with other forms of businesses, minors definitely need guidance so they don't make mistakes or get carried away by the money involved since they are being exposed to liquid cash at a very young age.

Studying or understanding technology, blockchain or how cryptographic works, doesn't require age limits, as long as your brain is capable, because at 16 a boy can be even more intelligent than someone in their twenties, so it all depends on their brain capacity.

But you can agree with me that large number of minors are unlikely to understand the indepth part of these things, right?. Or how many 16 years old have you seen that are way more intelligent than those in their twenties?. We don't have to generalize this thing as if it's something that is very common. And as for the age limit thing... common, there limits to what we can process at different age. And that's why schools are divided into classes. There are literally top programmers/developers who have been coding all their lives, so let's not underestimate the complexity of whatever they're doing, unless we're not talking about the actual core part of Bitcoin itself.

In as much as it doesn't require any age limit, but you must be smart, at least you should be able to read and write properly..I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but I want you all to understand that this minors are being initiated into criminal gangs to commit crimes at such age.

Being smart, or knowing how to read and write is not even a requirement to join a gang so I don't see a point for this example. There are a few things some of them might be able to process, but definitely not something that has to do with indepth. Unlike adults, It's difficult to make a general conclusion for all minors. But I think at the end of the day, any parents who thinks their kid has what it takes to learn any aspect of Bitcoin, shouldn't hesitate to put them through. If this kids start buying Bitcoin at such a young age, they will be able to build and secure a bright future in their twenties. You can start with small amounts, you don't need to have huge capital, start from small and grow your account, in five to ten years, you will be smiling. It might be stressing, due to the school pressure, home pressure and all of that. This is why I recommend that only the smart ones should get involved. Bitcoin will teach them patience, consistency and emotional control abilities. At such a young age, their brains are still very young, they can be able to learn very quickly, because they won't even see it as stress or too much work, they will see it as a challenge, a test or just something they can use in keeping theirselve busy. Once their brain is well constructed and wired, they will definitely do well. Yes, they will make mistakes, but it is better to make mistakes at an early age than in old age.

I know there are disadvantages, I will need y'all to list and write them down below. I'm only focus in promoting Bitcoin and the advantage of it.

During investment one must not be a young person to start investment, but even if you are young it is also an advantage to the investor which they can definitely go for long term investment than short term investment. There were some people who got that opportunities to venture into market but then, they were so impatient about the market because their investment hit 50% percentage and they thought that is all the price could gets to without them knowing that price is something that changes over time. At 16, the child may not be late to learn about Bitcoin, but he isn't early either. I have seen children do unimaginable things at a much younger age. There was a time I saw an 8-year-old driving his dad's car, and I'm not kidding. I was stunned. So there's nothing really difficult about Bitcoin; it's all about the child having the passion to learn. As long as he understands Bitcoin, he is welcome to buy it, hold it, or do anything with it.

Yes I completely agree with you. Bitcoin has both good and bad sides, the good side is investment and the bad side is trading. If a person can move forward ignoring the bad sides then surely he can move towards Bitcoin even if he is a minor. If we compare it with real life then it is the same. Just like there are good and bad sides in movement, there are many minor boys and girls who get involved in addiction and there are many boys and girls who do not get involved in any kind of bad work and they always move forward by living the good side. In the same way in the case of Bitcoin also if a person moves forward towards the investment side without paying attention to the trading side then they can move towards Bitcoin.

I do not think so many people got involved in bitcoin from minor. Bitcoin is just 17, some people got involved around 2015 - 2017 (early) commers. Could they be the minors? I doubt.

So are you saying that minors should start investing on their without parental guidance? Where would the person get the funds to invest from when he or she has not got to a working age. Although someone doesn't need a steady income source to start but how would be minor sustain the investment without having a job or where money can constantly be generated from?

If you have said that a young person isn’t hindered from having Bitcoin education cause it's an advantage to learn about it from a young age then you'll be perfectly correct but saying anyone including a younger person (minor) can start isn't nice, people can invest when they have a job.

Hardly ever these new generations do something by force. It's easier to see them giving orders to their parents, instead of following orders from them. If they are engaged with Bitcoin, it must be because they developed a natural interest for it.

And since this interest is developed in a balanced way, I think it's quite promising for the future of this minor, as it shows he cares about his future, finances and stability. It's a good indicator of an individual who will manage his patrimony efficiently.

On the other hand, a minor shouldn't spend most of his time with financial affairs. It's important to enjoy that period of life to build positive memories, bonds and experiences. Otherwise, he will grow up as a frustrated person, impacting negatively another aspects of his life.

I would not say that they are guaranteed to have a bright future when they start investing at a younger age, but it is for certain that they will have good capital at that age. They can use it for business capital or for college.
But this can only be achieved if the investment is done consistently. For example, when the child is 12 years old, and they start to invest consistently, then by the time they are 20 years old, their investment might have grown into a meaningful amount of capital. So consistency and discipline remain the keys.

Bitcoin is not censored so it’s impossible to completely prevent individuals below 18 to have access to bitcoins. As long as they can afford it and know where to look.
