Lastly try to read the pinned posts in every board you visit
It's a first thing to do, not the last thing and you are wrong by teaching newbies like this.

This thread is another pointless thread, similar to this following thread.
Use the search function before creating a thread.

There are pinned threads to read, and people don't read, just create new threads about nothing new while new threads are even worse than existing threads.
I agree that the first things for newbies to do in every boards that they open is to read the pinned threads, the pinned threads are the guides into what is expected of every posters on every topic in the board, if a newbie understands what ought to and what ought not in a board they have learnt the basic rules. Knowing about the technicalities of Bitcoin as a newbie who doesn't have any prior experience would take some time depending on how intelligent the person is but knowing about the forum rules is not difficult. This is why pinned threads are the basics and must read for newbies, if they do and understand them it would be easy for them to navigate the board without fear of breaking any rules. When I was a newbie in this forum I didn't ask most of the questions that newbies usually ask because the boards are self explanatory through pinned threads.

Most of the registrations are not even just learning about bitcoin, they are registering because someone had told them that they will be able to make money post here. Thus their initial action is post as much as possible, not to sit down and read out them pinned threads. Of course, it does not necessarily allow anyone to break law, and, as others have noted, none of the above were good excuses, but really it is why the issue keeps happening after X years.

Perhaps, if it was required that campaign managers read and follow rules and reputation board prior to entering a campaign, we would not have as many of the "newbie broke a rule" cases. So just a thought -- we are all here talking about a problem, which is a part of our own system of signature campaigns.

‎Lastly try to read the pinned posts in every board you visit

There are few rules in this forum, by following which you can easily learn and gain experience. In this current situation if you can refrain from copy paste and refrain from plagiarism, then you will definitely be able to survive. And there is enough space to gain knowledge in this forum, no matter what you are into, you can get help from this forum.
So every member, new and old, can learn from the posts pinned in this forum, so it is important to spend time in this forum to complete yourself with experience.

Bold of you to assume anyone actually reads the pinned posts. Half the Legendary accounts here still just randomly post everywhere hoping a merit falls out.

Sure, we shouldn't nuke newbies from for a single misplaced thread, but by the time someone posts their 10th "Will quantum computers break Bitcoin?" thread, the ignorance defense wears a bit thin.

Those that are new in this forum can’t actually know all the forum rules at once, the longer you stay in this forum the more you know the rules very well.

‎If you are new here don’t put too much pressure on yourself to know everything at once, just take it one step at a time.
‎The longer you stay here the more things you will know.

‎We shouldn’t be too harsh on newbies for breaking some simple rules in this forum because some of them actually broke the rule out of ignorance.

‎When I newly joined this forum I didn’t know all the rules, but the longer I stayed the more familiar those rules were to me.

‎I will encourage those that are new in this forum to always visit the meta and reputation board, some cases over there will help you know what you should do or not do in this forum
‎This advice is not for beginners alone even some older members in this forum, because I believe some older members still don’t know all the rules.

‎Lastly try to read the pinned posts in every board you visit
I think The rules here are very simple and not that much complicated to read and understand within a day or two the most, so I don’t know why they can’t know all the forum rules at once, they’re very direct rules which only talks about the does and don’ts of the forum. even if they don’t know all at least they should be able to get themselves well acquainted with the most basic ones.

When somebody comes into a new environment there’s every need to study and understand how things are being done in the area. So, I think that the first thing a newbie should do is to study the rules and regulations of the forum and not just to rush in making posts. It took me about some days trying to study the forum and it’s mode of operations and get myself acquainted with the basic rules before I started posting having been registered few days past. At least a day or two can be used to study and understand the rules.

I joined this forum by starting from my local forum. The reason is clear, the language used is very easy to understand. This makes it easier for me to figure out how this forum works, what can and cannot be done. Another tip is don’t be shy to admit mistakes and ask questions because that really helps. So I didn’t need many days to start participating in discussions since I could understand the language being used. Next, basically rules evolve and we’ll automatically adapt. As for the global forum rules, I think they’re not much different because the local forum certainly refers to the global rules. But one thing is for sure, this forum urges us not to be lazy about reading.

Even though the forum may be harsh on newbies, I don't think it is harsh to newbies who break simple rules.
Anybody who has been on the internet for a while won't struggle with keeping the forum rules. Most of the things are things common sense should tell you. Like not plagiarising, not generating posts with AI. These are things that people should ordinarily know are wrong anywhere and shouldn't do them.
Common sense should also tell any person that when they go to a place, whether online or offline, they should read the rules of the place.
I believe that a newbie who actually reads, even though it would be obvious that he's green, he would avoid a lot of mistakes. It's not quantum mechanics that you need years to learn.
Knowing all the rules is not the goal, but using common sense to know what you should ordinarily know is not difficult to do.
