I think it's too early to call it a full bull run. The August move was impressive, but Bitcoin still needs to prove it can hold above $80k rather than just wick through it.
And it has started, it starts to move backward and having to take time in pushing through the $81k - $82k which is normal.

It has to set back after moving that quickly from $70kish price. But I think that it can hold pass $80k+ because it's able to stand and became stable on the $70k until it has broken its barrier above that price.

We'll need more confirmation to say that we're done with the bear run and this is now a transition into bull run.

This is a bull trap if you ask me; the market has experienced significant increase in just 2 days  because of U.S. Treasury Bond Buybacks, doesn't it tell us something? Donald Trump is trying to control the market again. If you want to buy more bitcoin expecting the price to keep skyrocketing so that you can take profits then I must say that you might be trapped when the price starts a sudden correction but if you have intentions of holding for a long term then you should add more bitcoins to your stash.

The market should have continued to fall if it was a bull trap already but the market has not fallen that much since it starred pumping up but it looks like it has reach a resistance price right now because for the past few days, the market has been trading in the same price. Bitcoin looks like it is going to stay at this present price for something and if it can gain stronger supports then the price is going to pump again.

Thinking about how long that is going to take to new all time high is not known yet but I think it will take a long time because we are not yet closer to Bitcoin halving happening in 2 years from now hence the price is going to be more volatile very soon if Bitcoin loses it's current support price. But still that should not make we to stop since the price is still going to pump again.

Do we have to attribute each market momentum to some political or regulatory events, like mentioning Trump and the United States trades activities all the time, when Bitcoin made the recent recovering from $65k to $82k lately we should know that Bitcoin has the ability to do such market movement without the influence of any political or economic events,

At $80k last few hours and everyone was already saying we are more than half price away from Bitcoin all time high, but the timing it will take for Bitcoin to make that all time high record again is what we are not certain of right now.

However, I'm very optimistic we will be in a bull run soon. Early this morning, I woke up to $82k, like you made mention of, and now it's around $79kish. What's the probability that before this weekend we will start a new rally? Going from $82k to $91k.

At the moment, I'm taking my mind off the market. By tomorrow, we will know how the weekend will end.

Honestly I can not conclude that the bull run phase has arrived, but the market situation now can indeed be a sign, I just opened the CMC and looked at the chart with the basis of my skills in analyzing, I use a period of one month per each candlestick and I see that now the price is rising but the problem is now the price is in the area of the previous resistance (you can see in the picture below).

We should first see this september candlestick will be a Marubozu candlestick (bullish continuation) or a Doji candlestick (reversal), at least we should wait until the end of this month. On the other hand, my expectations are the same as yours. Wink

What type of proof are you looking for as confirmation? Bitcoin has reached the $80k level a few times last month, and even in the first few days of the month of September, its price has still been moving around that area. I can’t call it a sign of a complete bull run. The same way, I can’t say we are in a bull run even if it stays long above the $80k level unless the market signal is so strong and heading towards $90k and above that I will be fully convinced that the bull run has completely started.

It is September, the fourth quarter, and he says he feels like things always turn bullish around this time. But like I said, we are far from bullish right now. After such a deep crash since August and the ATH, the current bounce is tiny in comparison. Also, saying this happens every year is wrong if you look at the historical data -snip-
I agree that his statement is too speculative. It is even untrue if we compared with 2018 and 2022 ( a year after the peak bullish season). In these years, market were always red in September. Looking it more closely, Q4 probably will be most red markets. So, we need to be careful to speculate with the market possibility in the next few months. I personally will be always careful to anticipate with the worst market scenario and won't conclude anything.

Is the lack of understanding between bear market and bull market that's making most people to have that feeling, so actually a bear season will always be a bear season even if the price of Bitcoin go too higher beyond the expectations of everyone but it will definitely go back to the prices that defines it to be bear season, one important thing I like about those seasons of Bitcoin prices is that whenever we enter the bull market you will know based on the price activities and is also the same to the bear market so those previous increases was know sign of bullish season and besides since it made to $80k it has been moving around $77k positions.
Each person may have different understanding. Those people who make the wrong assumption, they may be newbies or beginners. People who have experienced previous cycles, they must already know when the real bullish to come. Even if the market condition can change, but it probably won't be so significant. It must be following the similar pattern of the previous bullish/bearish.

I'm not saying this is a trap, but trap doesn't necessarily have to crash right away. Sometimes it can drag on for a while before actually reverses and the price starts dropping hard.

Do we have to attribute each market momentum to some political or regulatory events, like mentioning Trump and the United States trades activities all the time, when Bitcoin made the recent recovering from $65k to $82k lately we should know that Bitcoin has the ability to do such market movement without the influence of any political or economic events,

We don't necessarily have to attribute every Bitcoin price move to some specific news or event. But Bitcoin wasn't the only asset that went up recently. Gold and stocks were also rising. So it's not entirely wrong to say this could be related to the US Treasury's bond buybacks, since that directly affects market liquidity.

We're near to the end of this bear run IMO. While this year is known to be its entire year, it can be extended on a couple of months of 2027.

But with this happening on Bitcoin, everyone is starting to be convinced that we're already out of it even it's not yet.

We need to wait for more about it and see a validation maybe in the next weeks or months. Let's see if by tomorrow it will go back to $80k but I don't think that's a valid reason to say if we're already bullish.

Even if its hard to conclude that we are near to see the end of bearish market. Because we still don't know on what will happened on Bitcoin in next following month.

Its great to see it pump back at $80k after it drop on above or below $60k. Those who got panic for sure regret their decision why they sell at lowest price reached by Bitcoin.

Maybe people conclude that we are now out of bear season its because they already see Bitcoin cross at $80k. But if they look at the past ATH then compare on the current price. They provably could see that bearish market does not end yet, also what they are seeing now is just a consolidation.

The bear market is not over yet as the price has been climbing above $80,000 and is falling back down. If the market had been bullish, we might have seen the end of the bear market by the end of this month, but it seems that it is not over yet.

Although it was great to see Bitcoin prices return to $80,000 after falling above and below $60,000 in the past few weeks, there is something good in store for those who wait patiently for a while without panicking. But those who sold out at the lowest price of Bitcoin will surely regret their decision.

33% of gain on this bear market is actually encouraging. And it shows that even the market should be in the opposite and should be negative, we're getting gains.

Although we can just say that we're not yet done on this market. If it goes consistent with the gains and keeps on moving ahead and if it passes the $80k up.

Many will continue to say that we're already out of bear. I want to say that as well but whether we believe in it or not, the reality won't change about bitcoin's unpredictability as it remains.

The price of bitcoin has been low for quite a long time now i believe that's why people are asking if this is the bull run since there was a massive increase in the price of bitcoin in the recent time. I don't think we have seen the bull run yet I see this as a normal increase in the price of BTC since we are dealing with a volatile asset, i know that most of us wasn't expecting that increase but we should know that everything is quite possible to happen. As we continue to wait for the bull run let's also don't stop buying bitcoin as a day is coming that we gonna see a new bitcoin ATH.
Bitcoin price has increased more than before but not as much as expected, due to excessive selling stress in the market, which has temporarily stopped the growth of Bitcoin. Bitcoin volatility helps the price to increase rapidly, so we cannot say exactly when the price of Bitcoin will increase. However, we invest patiently and hold Bitcoin with confidence, which will reduce the risk of losing money and hope to make money from Bitcoin in the long term.

It is true that in the future we will see a new all-time high of Bitcoin ATH, so it is reasonable to buy Bitcoin according to our ability and hold it for a long time.
We never expected it will be so low for a long time, but the rapid increase was not what most persons were expecting too due to the rapid drop in price of bitcoin, although we never expected it to below $100k but since it has made an increase i believe with time the price of bitcoin will go high above $100k and even reach a new all time high (ATH) so what is more important now is for investors to be patiently HODLing their BTC and still continue to buy more BTC.

The bear market is not over yet as the price has been climbing above $80,000 and is falling back down. If the market had been bullish, we might have seen the end of the bear market by the end of this month, but it seems that it is not over yet.

If Bitcoin falls significantly, it means we are still in the bear market, and if Bitcoin increases more, then it means we are in a bull market. At this point, it's hard to predict the market because many have different perspectives about it. But this shouldn't make anyone panic; it is better not to have expectations about entering the market at this time because of how unpredictable Bitcoin is.

Although it was great to see Bitcoin prices return to $80,000 after falling above and below $60,000 in the past few weeks, there is something good in store for those who wait patiently for a while without panicking. But those who sold out at the lowest price of Bitcoin will surely regret their decision.

The people who sold at the absolute bottom really blew it.  Cheesy Buy high, sell at lowest.
But maybe its actually good that these paper hands are getting weeded out.  Roll Eyes

Just like at the ATH around $126k, not a single top indicator triggered, and there were no other signs that we were peaking at all - "to the moonnn blablabal". It could be the exact same story with the bottom right now, just look at it, all the indicators say its not in yet, but thats precisely why we might already be heading back up. That's crypto...  Kiss

Distressed selling is a bullish signal often, ironic perhaps upsetting but repeatable observable noted behavior in most cycles.    We're still in bull stroll mode rather then a run, the main reason is we're returning to repeat the April to mid May rally and we've done very similar but its not yet new exactly or exciting as much as a bull run could be.

Iam also fine with a stroll, it could be preferable to just go slowly and gain with some certainty.  I think we need confirmation to occur, that could be with selling or time to settle.  We cant yet be certain the nature of the path taken but its not a sprint just yet.   Don't jump the gun, in a race that's a mistake and I don't want to get trampled Tongue

I agree that Bitcoin can't be a single indicator for the bull market. However, Bitcoin price is always a crucial part to analyze whether the market is going to the bullrun season or it is in bearish. So, it is normal if many people assume we are starting to leave the bear market once Bitcoin price keeps rising significantly. Sure, each person may have different perspective, we can't order all people to have the same perspective as we have. Anyway, Bitcoin price looks like to try staying above $80k recently. Unfortunately, the trend can change at any time. As you said, Bitcoin is quite unpredictable during this bearish season.

We can actually, by looking at it's past historical logs, then we can see that we are in the bear or bull run. Right now, we are still in the bear market, although there are occasion that the price will really have that massive spike to $80k++, it's not enough to say that the market is in the bull run.

In any case, we need to see it going above our previous all time high to technically we enter the bull run market. So far we haven't so personally for me, as much as we are happy to see the price reaching very high to even one of the best month last August, we are still very far to established new all time high.

Based on history, we may still be in bear market. But what guarantees that the market cycle will repeat itself 100% without breaking the pattern at the last minute? So to be fair, history is only a reference. It cannot guarantee what happens next. Bitcoin could still take a completely different path this time.

A bull market does not necessarily need BTC to break its previous ATH, but we need more signal than just crossing some specific price level. Currently, those signal still aren't clear enough, so I don't think we can say we're in a new bull market yet.

Anything can happen, we should have a backup plan instead of just trying to predict where the market is going.

A likelihood we will see a transition into the bull run or a continuation of the bear run. It's too early to figure out the market direction due to uncertainty.

However, I'm very optimistic we will be in a bull run soon. Early this morning, I woke up to $82k, like you made mention of, and now it's around $79kish. What's the probability that before this weekend we will start a new rally? Going from $82k to $91k.

This pump in price by Bitcoin is normal, because we can't just be speculating every time their is a pump that the bull run is about to kick off. I think that the market has been down for a long time now, so this short term pump is long overdue, that's why I don't believe that the bull season is about to kick off, and most especially, we are not close to the next halving that would have all indications that the bull season is around the corner, so even though it go as high as $93k I wouldn't be too sure of anything until it goes above $110,000k from now until January next year.
