So I registered in a casino which is licensed by the way, and based on what I read in their thread, they don’t require KYC. They only ask for it in special cases like suspected cheating, abuse, or other common reasons. But I am just wondering, because during registration there are still some details you need to put, like name and phone number. Since they are saying it is a no KYC casino, is it okay not to put your real identity there?

My concern is what if one day I win big and they ask for KYC. Maybe at that time I will have no choice but to comply and give my real identity. But what if the details I put before are different, then maybe that can become a problem.

What do you think, is this a potential problem?

From your explanation, it is already obvious that the casino is not a no-KYC casino because they stated that they reserve the right to ask for KYC when they see the need. If you cannot change the name after filling it during registration, it is risky to put wrong name there. I always have in mind that no casino is no KYC because even if you do everything right but win consistently, you will be asked for KYC. To avoid drama, keep your KYC documents ready or be prepared to perform KYC at anytime should you win significant amount of money in the casino.

A no-KYC gambling casino that is truly genuine about its stance on this will not require users' information, no matter how small or big it is. Your contact information by email should not be required if they truly claim they are not kyc dumpling casino.

Requesting KYC as well if the user account is flagged is not it; they don't have to request any information or document from the user. It is either the user violates their rules and faces the consequence, or they allow the user to enjoy the benefits of no kyc the represents, as long as he does not violate their rules.

The casino is not a Nokyc casino as long as they ask for personal details like name and mobile number, so if you are to register in such a casino, you are already prepared for what comes next and should register with real details, as the chances of them asking you for full KYC are higher even when you have not gotten the big win as long as you are winning more than you are losing; the chances of being asked to verify your account are high. So to avoid future issues, either you avoid the casino if you are not willing to give out your document or you prepare your document ahead.

Of course there will be a problem if you didn't provide them with the correct information. Casinos might have tools to detect if your submitted data is fake, like IP address and other foot prints.

So it might be better to provide them with the accurate information of yours, to avoid problems later.

Specially if you are going to withdraw a big winnings. You don't want to go to that problem and instead of getting your money, chances are your account might get suspended and not be able to withdraw any.

as a general rule, just look on nations not allowed in their ToS. you can use a casino freely without providing it (at least initially).
They have to comply with local laws about gambling... but in any case even if they are not asking a KYC they are expecting you comply with local laws. They can't ask to register with a fake name/country - it would be illegal since you're going to deposit funds.
Some casinos despite knows very well this issue of providing fake KYC could accept users and force for an exceptional KYC Roll Eyes once they want get out a player.
Discrepancies, countries with restrictions, they have all rights to not pay and accept anymore a player in these circumstances.

Theoretically, even if you called yourself Patrice Lumumba, but in fact you were Marie Antoinette, then if it came to the KYC, this should not prevent you from getting what you won. After all, the essence of your relationship with the casino is not in your name, but in the service provided. If a casino follows the law, it will pay you your winnings. The problem is, there's no guarantee the casino will follow the law and won't use the KYC process as an excuse to deny you your winnings. The real risk is whether the casino is honest (operating within the legal framework) or not, so choose any name.

If the casino site is reputable and has been in the gambling market for a long time, I don't think this kind of problem can arise.  Before depositing a large amount, you should check the reviews to see if there are any negative allegations about that casino site. If there is no such thing, it is better not to depositing a large amount in a hurry at the beginning. You can bet with a small amount for a few days. After that, if you have a good idea about that casino, you will understand how safe it is. If i told my own story I have changed casino sites only a few times. I used to try to deposit a small amount at the beginning. After that, if I felt that it was a trusted casino site after using the features and looking at the reviews, I would continue betting. Personally, I like a casino site that can withdraw very quickly and seems reputable. Because if it is late after I withdraw the amount I win, it is annoying. And if a site has this problem with kyc, then I think that site is a scam type. However, most of the casinos that are marketed on the forum are known to be trusted. There are no negative allegations against these casino sites.

I think what you put there is not really final unless it has been verified, and the real way to prove that is through KYC verification. Usually that means confirming your identity with documents like an ID, and some casinos may even ask for additional proof such as a bank account or other documents.

Email verification is different because you still need access to that email to confirm it, so you cannot just fake it that easily. But if a casino is really advertising itself as a no-KYC casino, then whatever you put there should not be a big deal.

When a casino that presents themselves as a No-KYC asks you for details such as your name and phone number upon registration then it is no longer a No-KYC casino because those information are required only when you're using a KYC casino. However, if you want to input your name, you will have to make sure that the name corresponds with the name on your identity card because if you use an unreal name and in the future they ask you to upload your identity card and the name doesn't correspond, it will become a problem for you.

There was a casino i registered in the past and I entered a wrong name, when I tried to edit it to my real name in my identity card, it was not possible and I tried contacting their support but they couldn't rectify it so I just moved to another casino instead.

If they say NO KYC but ask for types of kyc, then should you really trust them? They are already starting out lying to their potential players. I personally would just play elsewhere as it rubs me wrong when a business starts out by lying. Just me maybe.

This is a big problem not in the near future but now.

future: lets say you win big time, will you do KYC just to make the withdrawal ? that hits!

Now: Can we fake our name and number? we need it in the near future. This is real money, if you hate KYC then you should go find another site.

The no KYC can sometimes just mean no necessary second level and third level identification needed. Phone number is just a basic verification. If it is mandatory, it is better you use the real one. Although, I do not think it can give someone an issue if KYC is required later. All what the person needed to do is to contact the customer care and tell them that he is no more using the phone number.

It would be better to share the casino on this thread for members to take a look, because when what you fear happens, getting asked for KYC after a big win, you'd definitely call out the name of the casino for doing a thing like that. However, a casino that'll ask for your documents if your account is flagged for cheating, is not a no KYC casino.

My concern is what if one day I win big and they ask for KYC. Maybe at that time I will have no choice but to comply and give my real identity. But what if the details I put before are different, then maybe that can become a problem.

What do you think, is this a potential problem?
Well, what's more, there is usually a rename feature that has been found in several casinos. Any user can change this information at any time. Unless indeed the data provided from the beginning, especially when entering the first name, middle and last name and then filled with an arbitrary name is likely to experience problems. I think the casino and gamblers can still discuss it for a name change if it aims to meet certain requirements in order to match it with the original data.

If a casino says in their terms and conditions, "that they have the right to ask for KYC when necessary" I no longer see them as a no KYC casino because they could ask for it any day they feel like and it's usually when someone have won a huge  amount that they will start requesting for it. When registering in such casino, you just have to input the right information to avoid future problem which could lead to your wins being forfeited.

There was this bookie I signed up to, during the registration, I didn't know there was a mistake  on my name since it was my keyboard "auto correct" that made the adjustment after I have correctly spelt the name, so there was an error, even on the cash out bank account number I wrote also had error which I didn't notice. It was during withdrawal that I observed the mistakes which I was allowed to correct it and asked to submit a back up identity card. I don't think it's all casino that will be that lenient, so you have to enter your information correctly.

This is actually a huge issue. If they had just asked for your username and then an option to either enter your name, leave it blank or give you the opportunity to change your name, as the post above mine said, it would have been okay even if you used fake details during registration.

But from what I have seen so far, if you are in a situation like this, they would most likely treat it as you using fake details for your verification or using docs that don't match your initial details.

Tell them your casino says no KYC, so why would you ask for real KYC?

And regarding the information you put there, I don't think it's really a big problem, sometimes casinos would even just require a username. If that data was really important, they should have asked for supporting documents before allowing you to gamble.

So don't overthink it too much, it will only make you worry more, you'll be fine.

It takes a casino nothing to be able to come out plainly that they are either a KYC casino or a gambling platform that does not require KYC. Once you discover that a platform is behaving neutrally, not fully showing confidence in either of these, and is not consistent, then it shows a red flag that we should be suspicious of them being manipulative.

No KYC casino does not mean that you can open account with false information. Not asking for KYC and requirement to keep registration information truthful are two different thing. Many operator do not ask for document at initial registration, but their Terms require that you keep your real/legal name, DOB, phone or payment details accurate and may ask for verification later.

That is why I give my real information from the beginning when opening account at any casino. Especially in the case of name and payment method. Because even if you deposit a small amount today and play, tomorrow when they ask for identity verification during a large withdrawal, there will be a mismatch between the account details and the ID.
