Bitcoin is one of the greatest innovation ever to have come to human race. From the distributive aspect of the Bitcoin to the control of it is amazing. This is the only one thing i know that is outside government control and has not broken down despite pressure from the various government. The scarcity of the Bitcoin is another thing that is good about the whole thing because if something is scarce,it add value to it. Another fascinating aspect of Bitcoin is this, inflation has no grip over it and this where it beats Fiat hands down. Bitcoin also serve as assets for the future

Hmm, actually it can't be called monetary inflation. Because it's not discretionary. Issuance is predetermined, subsidy is halved every ~210000 blocks and eventually new BTC issuance will go to zero.

To me, this is where Bitcoin's real strength lies. Government can't dictate the rule of our Bitcoin protocol. But it can put pressure on our exchange access, taxation, banking rail or mining. So scarcity alone doesn't create value, imo. Combination of scarcity, decentralization, verifiability, security, network adoption has made Bitcoin an interesting monetary asset.

Well, based on the fact that there will only be 21 million bitcoin that will ever exist, if we assume that those 21 million bitcoins are already in circulation, then we can say that bitcoin has a defined supply and as such, there is no chance of inflation but rather, deflation may happen sometimes with people losing access to their Bitcoin through the loss of access to their wallets.

And speaking of bitcoin being out of government's control, well, I think this is only to a certain level because if the government want, they can fraustrate bitcoin holders until everyone has no choice but to sell, this is a simple fact many may not agree with. But I am personally glad that most government around the world are coming around to recognise bitcoin as money and an asset.

I believe the difference between protocol level inflation and price level inflation is here, that for a fixed supply of bitcoin that is one of the interesting features of bitcoin. Despite the fact that the supply schedule is known, a decline in the market price of Bitcoin can still affect its purchasing power. Is very different than fiat where the number of units can be adjusted via monetary policy. I also like the government control bit, but not entirely government controlled in my opinion, Bitcoin is. Governments have other ways of influencing exchanges, taxation, banking and mining. The one thing they have no ability to alter is the Bitcoin supply consensus rule. To me, that's more of a reason to love Bitcoin than scarcity.

Ignoring the market side of Bitcoin and concentrating on the protocol itself, Satoshi really succeeded
in creating something of value, despite the fact that many cannot see that. We still hear the line "it has
no real value, its not backed by anything"

The beauty behind Bitcoin and what gives it its value is actually physical but again its overlooked by
many still.

Hardware: used by developers, miners and nodes to upkeep the protocol, process transactions and
verify the blockchain do so in a globally, decentralised and open sourced manner. The theory of it is
so simple a concept but its the code and hardware which creates the complexity.

There is another factor which is hidden from view or overlooked when debating Bitcoins greatness
or uselessness thats security. The network has never been breached, the network trundles along day
after day without fail, without compromise.

Everyone already knows the reasons why Bitcoin is on the first choice list. Reasons why Bitcoin is on the first choice list: Freedom of transaction, limited supply, no control over inflation, global acceptance, security of the Bitcoin network, no one can interfere with Bitcoin because it is decentralized.

Overall, Bitcoin is very safe because we have no chance or fear of losing. Even though the Bitcoin market is unstable, we can still expect something good, so it is natural for Bitcoin to be on the first choice list.

Bitcoin has many amazing things which make it is strong, secure, and attractive with individuals, small business companies to big institutions and even governments.

You can recognize these things or don't see anything good from Bitcoin or don't see all of its advantages but it does not change what Bitcoin is and how strong Bitcoin is. There are resources for learning about Bitcoin and change your thoughts about it and by understanding Bitcoin well, you can become early investors than the others and have strong holding hands.

The bullish case for Bitcoin.
Bitcoin and the accounting revolution that shook the world.
Bitcoin is an accounting revolution.

Honestly, it's amazing how it evolved from being rejected to being regulated. Although, some people still look at it with skepticism, I believe they'll soon come to appreciate it, then we will see an unprecedented adoption leading to an explosive price height.

Even though Bitcoin probably may not become everyday money (I don't think it will work out anyway), I believe it will have strong integration into the financial system of the world in times to come.

inflation has no grip over it and this where it beats Fiat hands down.

You're so right, I see so many people thinking Bitcoin's supply is deflationary, but that's not exactly true. Deflation in supply (monetary deflation) has to do with total supply shrinking over time. Bitcoin supply is fixed, it ain't shrinking. Yeah, there are lost coins and a few coins that won't go into circulation like what is being shared here, but that doesn't mean Bitcoin supply shrunk, it is still 21 Million.

It seems to me that Inflation is one of the top reasons why people trade in their inflating fiat for Bitcoin.  Grin But I get what you mean. For me, the aspect of privacy and self custody is equally as important. People still do not understand how amazing it is to have a money that nobody else can touch, no matter how hard they try. No government in the world can take or freeze this money.

No other currency in the world could have made such a boast in the past. The government had full control. The best option people had before Bitcoin was hiding precious metals in their mattress at home. And that was only safe until some robber breaks in and steals it. Or the government finds out and sends their thugs to confiscate it. But with Bitcoin... It does not matter even if they find out because they cannot touch it.

If I’m honest, I liked Bitcoin much more back in the mining days, when it was still possible for ordinary people to mine and the hashrate was manageable. Let’s just say that by the time the Erupter era came to an end in 2013, the situation had become unmanageable.
Now I appreciate Bitcoin for its key feature, which is decentralisation; this was perhaps the main hallmark that Satoshi wanted to give the protocol.

I don’t think it is okay for bitcoin wallet to totally replace your bank account, because they both have different purposes. Even though bitcoin can give you more control over your money, still that does not mean you should completely stop using banks , using both of them makes more sense when you can keep some money in your bank account for daily needs and you will still have your bitcoin wallet for you long term asset that you can control by yourself.

The simplicity of bitcoin is one it strongest features, because you can hold it yourself and send it across borders without needing any approval from government or bank. It does not depend on one company or person to keep the network running and that is the difference compared to many projects that claim to be decentralized but control by a small group.

This is the only one thing i know that is outside government control and has not broken down despite pressure from the various government.
Thanks to Satoshi and the decentralised nature of Bitcoin, no one other than myself can know how many coins I hold. This is also the exact reason why I fell in love with Bitcoin back in 2015. The fixed supply of Bitcoin has also made it a valuable asset.

I still remember buying Bitcoin for around 500 dollars. I wish I could time travel back and ask the younger version of myself to buy more coins while they were cheap. Nevertheless everything is good with Bitcoin but converting it to fiat is still centralised. I have been using P2P to counter the need for centralised exchanges.

That's the counterpart of it, not that much people knew it back then and so mining difficulty wasn't that much. But when it's started to gain traction, the popularity has increased and more people want to have it as well and that's why the difficulty increased and it's designed to for the next years to come. And those who have mined a lot and kept it, they're one of the winners that can enjoy their holdings now and the risk they took when there's a massive doubt about Bitcoin. They have believed in it, mined it, held it and now, they can thank it.
