The line moved a bit now, Magsayo is at 1.82 while Cortes is at 1.89. But only the ML market is available so far. I hope the other markets will be up soon because I want to see the odds for Magsayo winning by KO or by scorecards.

The round-range markets are also interesting since the odds are usually bigger there.

@SatsPH, there is a slight movement on the ML odds of this fight mate. It would be better if we wait till Saturday night till we pull the trigger on this one as it might swing in favor of Cortes.

Big money is finally flowing in for Cortes as the fight day draws near. What started as a slight movement in the odds has escalated into a huge swing, with Magsayo now the underdog at 2.02 and Cortes the favorite at 1.77. The odds have now taken a complete 180° turnaroud. I guess Cortes' odds would even sink lower going to the fight night.

You're right, it might be best to wait until Saturday to make the best of the odds. Magsayo's might become juicier.

That is not how you interpret the odds, .. 1.70 means he is the slight favorite.

Still a couple of days before the upcoming fight, Saturday could be the best time to see what will be the final odds at least 24 hours before the fight.

And since there are a lot of Filipinos here rooting for Magsayo, then I do hope that he will win this fight. And if the fight is just for 10 rounds, maybe he will have a rush to finish the fight and not giving the judges a chance as we might see a different result.

If he finds a good opening and the timing is right, I think he should go for the finish and win by KO. The result here could determine what kind of fight he gets next.
If he wins in an impressive way, then who knows, he might get another shot at a championship fight.

We just have to wait till that day because it could turn the other way round just as it keeps changing like this, yes we hope our favorite wins the game but that can only happen if the winning is for him else the best wins, and seriously the cool part of the game is just this period that everyone one is on suspense guessing who is likely to win from their odds, funny how the odds might still change further more leaving everyone questioning how that was possible and changes again to the final win. Magsayo most have really be very good in his previous fights because lots of persons are already cheering for him, let see how it goes.

This is a significant shift in the ML odds, don't know the reason exactly for this shift but most probably some whales have already put their money on Andres Cortes upon seeing the press conference yesterday. Just like what i have said before, Cortes is a very live opponent for Mark Magsayo, he is undefeated and most likely his style of boxing would frustrate Magsayo and i wouldn't be surprised if this will go the distance and if that happens, Magsayo will be in trouble in the judges' scorecards but still i will put some money on him.

I'm no experts, but I can speculate that maybe there is a big and notable personalities that see Cortes as capable of beating our very own Magsayo.

But I guess for us, he hasn't shown anything that might sway away our money to Magsayo. So still, that is a good sign for Filipino boxing fans that we could also go together and put our money on Magsayo and not let him a underdog.

Although it could be good though as being a live underdog means bigger returns.

More or less it is being a much bigger looking boxer (not actually bigger, just look bigger), having a clean record and the boxing style that makes some huge whales think that Andres Cortes will bag the match.  There is also a history that Magsayo has had difficulty against technical moving boxer, so this is probably being considered.

Actually, some boxers gets mor inspired and motivated when they are facing a boxer with unblemish record.  So I agree that an undefeated record does not mean that the boxer will be unbeatable.  As a matter of fact, all boxers actually started with an undefeated record.

Sure, going to support Mark. It was a very interesting match up both have a good win records, I would say that Magsayo could give a good punching power on his punches, also hand speed and combinations is mostly his strength. Not familiar with Cortez; I just watch some of his fights. I mean being undefeated was already a thing that he could fight, his pacing for sure is what might be his stregth agains Mark.

Yes, Magsayo lost the fight in the judges scorecard. Cortes was very aggressive early on that's why Magsayo wasn't able to get things goin for him. He was really at Magsayo at the start and probably Mark was caught off guard as the fight is in a close distance that's why he can't execute and not landing his power punches.

And on the other hand, Cortes was on a tear denying Magsayo and it finally hit him and score a knockdown in the 4th round.

I just saw the fight highlights, and it’s undeniable that Magsayo really lost that fight. Cortes was very dominant, he was the bigger guy and he kept attacking Magsayo.

Those two knockdowns on Magsayo may not have looked that solid and one of them even looked more like a slip, but they were still scored 10-8 rounds. And even without those knockdowns, I still don’t think Magsayo would have won because he wasn’t really effective in hurting Cortes or controlling the fight.

The knockdowns didn’t count after they checked the replay. Still, it didn’t look good for Magsayo to keep falling down. It wasn’t until the 8th round where he started having some success but it wasn’t enough to make up for those early rounds where he couldn’t get any momentum going. Cortes is a good fighter who could challenge Mason or Zepeda, though I think he loses decisively against either champion.

Yes, probably it was the very reason that many fans see that Cortes is the bigger guy and has the power to knockdown Magsayo. And he did and it's very unfortunate that our very own Magsayo can't find anything in this fight.

Or if he did, it was too late as Cortes has build a good lead and he needs to score a knockout to win the fight. Cortes is good, not to criticized him, but against other champion in this division, I don't think he can beat them.

It's just that his skills couldn't match Cortes, who was very smart in there. Cortes knew he could push Magsayo around and he did exactly that. Normally Magsayo is the aggressor, but in this fight we saw the complete opposite.

Indeed, he should just take every offer and make money as long as he can. He is 31, it should be his prime, but I feel like there's no potential left to develop. He has reached his potential.

Before, I thought he would be the next face of PH Boxing, but now, it seems I overestimated him. For me, he is just heavily depending on his raw power and strength. His fighting style is nothing special, too far from Donaire and Pacquiao's fighting style.

Yes, he might have depended on his raw power, and I forget about his fight wherein he as knockdown. And then he comes back and knocked out his opponent cold. So I guess that fight might have exposes his style although he was able to overcome it.

But here, it was really a disaster, as he did try to also make a come back but his opponent is too intelligent to fall for it. Wasn't enough to overturn what the judges see in the first half. And with it, gone are the chances of him being the new face of PH boxing.

Mark Magsayo is on the twilight of his career, hate to say it but i do think that he only got a few fights left in him and that would not be a world title fight and it would be against a young prospect so Magsayo here will be just a stepping stone for young prospect but nevertheless he would still earn some substantial amount of money that he could use when he retires.

Speaking of money, Magsayo as per report will receive $500k for this fight while Andres Cortes will receive $350k. I don't know for Cortes but for Mark Magsayo this is already a lot of money especially if this will be spent in the Philippines.
