having different assets or stocks is good so you don't put your eyes in one basket but it is also good to note that one good basket you keep everything is better than having different eggs in wrong basket.
What you are trying to say doesn’t make sense in my opinion. Do you mean to tell me that bitcoin is the only realable investment there is? Forget the hype bro, diversification is the best approach to follow. Sure, Bitcoin is a good choice of investment but there are also other good investments out there, so I'll prefer to diversify and play safe instead completely depending on bitcoin only.

Making bitcoin a retirement plan is profitable and i think it is the most secured way of making a retirement plan since it will be in your custody where you will have access to it at any time you want. 20 years is a very long time, by then the investment must have yielded heavy growth added with the quantity you have been able to hold. Inflation has worsen the fiat currency to an extent that it doesn't have any future value. Instead of saving money in the bank as retirement plan, bitcoin will be the most preferable way of investing that money. 20 years is about 5 cycles of bitcoin, and of course the growth of your investment within that interval will surely be huge.

It can be very profitable to buy and hold bitcoin for retirement plans, but I won't do that alone. I like situations where I diversify and invest in many more things, like also putting some money into real estate and other physical assets which can be yielding profit on a regular basis while you hold your bitcoin and wait for as long as you want until it gives you that breath taken profit you have been aiming for.

I have two charts out of many charts here which I was keenly watching and I then thought, what's the point selling off your bitcoin when you are still agile and actively working? Is it not better to make bitcoin your retirement plan? If a person who has up to 20 years left before retirement, if he starts buying bitcoin through the remaining 20 years before retirement, he could pass through 5 different cycles before his retirement.

In as much as it's profitable to hold bitcoin for retirements doesn't mean user's selling their bitcoins is making wrong decisions.
You don't make the profit ONLY when you're investing for retirement either. Everyone do have their investment goals and so on their timeframe with the need's to sell differs.
Any bitcoin investor who hasn't considered retirement investment plan's as an advanced investment plan is also missing a lot because instead of saving those your incomes in fiats that values can be dismissed over the long term at a retirement stage of such duration of 20 year's, saving it in bitcoin will definitely give you an edge to preserve it value against inflation.
The question is, what if those people selling their bitcoin have already reached their retirement or their set timeline for investing in bitcoin? It's possible that this could be the reason why some people are actively selling, though most people might be traders who just get in to get out early with the idea that they are making profit but they are just wasting their time and opportunity when you view it from a long term perspective.
Bitcoin is indeed a good project for retirement fund because of its volatility and it's profitability over time. The most interesting part is anyone can invest with whatever amount they can afford to invest with.

It is very important for us to always start planning for our retirement at an early stage, and know that we wouldn't be working for forever. Just like they always say that "Soldier come, Soldier go, barrack remains" that's how it goes, because no matter what position you are, you must definitely retire for another person to take over. That's why we need to plan ahead of time and diversify our investments without having double thoughts about it, because I think it's much safer to have different investments, so that In case anything happens along the line, you wouldn't lose everything at once, since nobody knows what will happen in the future.
Some Retirees doesn't know the importance and benefit of investing to put their money into good use so that when they are too old, those investments is what will generate income for them. And again the benefits of using your retirement money to invest in bitcoin is so that inflation will not reduce the value of your asset over time. Another advantage of investing your retirement money in bitcoin is so that as bitcoin price increases the value of your asset increases and you can withdraw your money whenever you like. You can invest for your children and hold it for 10 years,it is certain that no one wil work forever, even if you are a CEO of a company there's a time when you will have to pass down the mantle of leadership to someone else.

Like I will always say, everyone have their own strategy of investing in Bitcoin, and we all also have our goals when it comes to Bitcoin investment. Some of us are not retiring even in the next 30 years, so it makes sense that one can still invest on Bitcoin consistently for a period of 10 years and they will be in a huge profit after that period (depending on the amount that was invested), they can use this profit from the investment to achieve some goal and after which, they still have another 20 years start accumulating for their retirement plan.
If a person learns about bitcoin early enough in his career, then he certainly has advantage over another folk who learned about bitcoin in the later stage of his career and this forms part of the determinant factors for the amount of bitcoin a person has at retirement. Other factors include the amount of income earned by each of them and the amount spent on basic responsibilities and frivolities. A person's financial discipline and cashflow management too. However, a person goes into bitcoin as a retirement plan and his attitude to bitcoin gets changed or he becomes more cautious about how he spends because he has a plan to be financially free in the future.

Secondly, there's this idea I have discussed before, some persons believe that because you are saving Bitcoin for investment sake, you don't have to sell until you are retired, but I have sold some Bitcoin during a bull season which gave me a good profit but I didn't spend the profit and the capital. During the bear season, I used the money to buy more Bitcoin than the amount that was sold. If you are applying such strategy, you don't have to sell all your holding but this strategy can help you to always increase yout holding too.
This opinion may not be to the best interest of someone who chooses discipline over smartness because it sets you up for distractions. As a person who has a plan and busy with his life, he may not spend all his life watching the charts and worrying about when to get into the market and when to jump out and when to reinvest. This can possibly be easier for someone who lives all his life on the charts and some Traders too but not for bitcoin investors.

The difference is that the person is not interested in gambling with his bitcoin, he is making savings for the future but he is not greedy to start tampering with his acquired bitcoin. It is easy to say "buy during the bear market, sell during the bull season and buy back during the next bear market", but how sure are you the price will drop beyond the amount you have sold? How sure are you that you can hold your fiat with thorough discipline until when your preferred Dip happens? Do you allow greed to ruin your finances? Trading is good for people who can handle it but it's not best for an average bitcoin investor. You can invest in bitcoin and after the 30 years left for retirement, you have achieved what no one would imagine of you and the chances of making a profit that can be unimaginable in 30 years is very high.

We're all entitled to our opinion but it's better to choose safety than greed because I have seen some folks who sold bitcoin with the hope of buying back but never got back to bitcoin because situations came and took the fiat in part or in full or because they decided to buy back and even start loosing the money until they're at loss.

~snip
In as much as there's a big advantage especially in terms of ROI, the risks are still there. My best advice to people is diversify your retirement plans and investments. The parable don't put all your eggs in one basket is very important in investments even as good as bitcoin investment sounds a lot of things could go wrong. Worse is getting hacked and your funds stolen.

For everyone considering this make sure you weigh your psychology and expectations to see if it's something you can actually handle sometimes it doesn't play out as positive raw ROI outputs when you have are not ready.
The diversification on retirement plan shouldn't be in Bitcoin and other altcoins. Altcoins are too risky to invest in our retirement plan because retirement plan investments need low-risk investments like Bitcoin.

My best advice to people who want to diversify their retirement plan is to invest in Bitcoin and then invest in tangible assets like Real estate and agriculture. A tangible asset may not give you a huge ROI compared to Bitcoin in the long term, but it will give you peace of mind that the value of your investment is still there.
Diversifying your retirement plans into altcoins/shitcoins is a good way of loosing all your lifetime achievements in a split seconds. Most altcoins decrease in price until they're no more because they are scam projects and not advisable to be invested in. You can trade with it if you have the money but that must be in the early stages of the shitcoins but saving your money in shitcoins could amount to a room.

Just like you have said, the risk levels of every investment we do is what forms most of the decisions we take. We cannot do otherwise when we don't trust the process. Real estate is a good investment area and many are into it too. However, choosing bitcoin is also a good idea and if you have reached your over accumulation target, then you can start thinking of diversifying into other areas like the real estate.

having different assets or stocks is good so you don't put your eyes in one basket but it is also good to note that one good basket you keep everything is better than having different eggs in wrong basket.
Bitcoin is not the ONLY good investment at all. There are areas like the real estate and buying of shares, Agriculture and many other areas of interest. However, you are not also sure about anything in any area of investment because your bitcoin can be stolen, your real estate may be razed by fire outbreak and your shares may amount to nothing at the end. Having your bitcoin in your self custodian wallet is beautiful because you own your coins and with a good security procedures, you can be sure that nobody will steal your coins and you can also be sure that based on the bitcoin records, profit is almost assured in the long-term.

Bitcoin is indeed a good project for retirement fund because of its volatility and it's profitability over time. The most interesting part is anyone can invest with whatever amount they can afford to invest with.
Everyone is entitled to what he's doing with his bitcoin but then for the sake of this thread, selling bitcoin as a result of reaching your accumulation target is not the deal because you are still active and agile, what you should be thinking about is how to increase your bitcoin stash instead of selling them. When a person has reached his accumulation target before retirement, he may choose to minimise his Discretionary income put into bitcoin at his own investment intervals or he may extend the time in-between his DCA days. By so doing, he has more money to throw around and flex your life but it is not also necessary to avoid whatever will ruin your finances in part or its entirety.

Some Retirees doesn't know the importance and benefit of investing to put their money into good use so that when they are too old, those investments is what will generate income for them. And again the benefits of using your retirement money to invest in bitcoin is so that inflation will not reduce the value of your asset over time. Ignorance is the enemy of all whether young or old. This is why getting into forums where bitcoin is discussed is very important to form your view about bitcoin. Some of our aged parents never leaned about bitcoin or the few that learned about bitcoin could not trust bitcoin. This does not affect the fact that bitcoin is what it is and it's either you get into the plan or get left out. We can only suggest but the decision is everyone's.

Some Retirees doesn't know the importance and benefit of investing to put their money into good use so that when they are too old, those investments is what will generate income for them.

Many do but the reality of thongs is that, many aren't earning enough salary to handle the bills and also be privileged to keep small as retirement savings. They aren't even living with the way they're managing to survive so how then will they be able to plan for tomorrow. The minimum wage is too poor compared to the cost of living and that's why our parents don't have savings but still working in their old ages. We won't understand since opportunity has come now and we can make money from multiple sources but most of them didnt have such leverage and they're paying for it by woking in their 70*s and above. Abi no be person wey see food chop remain go fit they reason saving?

I was keenly watching and I then thought, what's the point selling off your bitcoin when you are still agile and actively working? Is it not better to make bitcoin your retirement plan? If a person who has up to 20 years left before retirement, if he starts buying bitcoin through the remaining 20 years before retirement, he could pass through 5 different cycles before his retirement.
There is something you have to understand, the up side trend is continuously reducing, and it will get to a point where it will be making things like 1.5x, 1.2x, etc—this is the law of diminishing return. This cycle's ATH (don't know if we have seen the bottom yet, I feel we have) is just ~2X the previous, and I believe the next will be less than what we had in this cycle. So, the next peak will be ±180k—these are just speculation, but following the cycle's pattern, I feel like that's most likely the case—and the subsequent cycles will have reductions in such a way. So, while planning your retirement with Bitcoin, put these into perspective.

The increase rate differs with cycles and could get better or less, but the point is that we're almost fully assured of a positive response with each cycle. Another good thing is that each cycle always almost has a bottom low higher than the previous bottom low of a previous cycle as shown in the second chart.
Not better but less—because of the law of diminishing return. If this continues, it will get to a point where within 2 cycles, you'll have ~4x your money if you bought all at once. But if you are DCAing, that means you're definitely buying at the top too as well as the bottom, so you won't even have up to that 4X in 4 cycles.

Making plans for your retirement using bitcoin as your asset is not a bad decision since even real estate does not assure anyone of such quick profit of up to 82% in just 4 years. Make your plans now and set your accumulation target based on the number of years left before your retirement. Self employed people also have their retirement period when they hand over their business to their children or workers. Make hay while the sun shines, invest in bitcoin today for a safer tomorrow.
Let's do a little math:
The previous cycles ATL was 15K. Let's see how much it rose up to compared to this cycles ATH of 126K
~126k / ~15k = ~8.4

This means, price made ~8.4X from 2022 to 2025, so if you invested 1 million naira in 2022, then you would have made ~8.4 million naira in 2025 when Bitcoin was at its ATH. This is not DCAing; with DCAing, the multiplier will reduce.

But my issue is, if we start investing now and the new ATH's continue shrinking, that will be bad.

Making Bitcoin your retirement plan is not a bad idea, but I don't think this is for everyone. If you have huge capital to invest, then that will be a solid plan, but if you have little and are expecting crazy profit in the next 10 to 20 years, well, I don't know. But 1 thing is certain, Bitcoin won't lose its purchasing power over time, thus becoming a store of value that will certainly add or preserve your saving's or investment's purchasing power over time.

Dis things go make beta sense if say government go fit allow people to choose which way dem wan save dia retirement funds and dem go dey allocate the amount wey match the monthly contribution to retirement plans in Bitcoin to maybe ETF provider like Black Rock on behalf of de person, den after many years and de person wan retire, em go choose to cash-in, continue with the ETF or receive their coins in self-custody wallets.

E go really make sense as retirement plan dat way, de value of your retirement benefits go dey preserved right from time and you go dey in good profits. This go dey better dan all the companies wey dey use people money do business for many years, come dey give dem peanuts when dem don retire.
Me and you know say this thing wey you talk no fit happen for this country because of how the pension fund is a major cash out for people responsible in it’s administration. And also how will you know how much worth of bitcoin you have when the pension management funds are using your pension contribution to buy bitcoin for you? The corruption will be too much, and I don’t see how possible it will happen. Bitcoin that you can buy and store on your own is the best preferred option.

Let’s assume what you are saying is achievable, do you think the pension management body will give you all the bitcoin they bought in your name when the time comes? As a person aiming to have bitcoin as retirement plan, you should do it with the money that get into your hand and remove your mind from the pension contribution money.

The only way such arrangement will make sense is, if they will give people the option to either contribute to the pension scheme or not. But If you contribute there will be pension payments for you when you retire, and if you don’t contribute you won’t receive any benefits. So those that choose not to contribute, will now handle their pension contributions money each month end the way they want. Either you invest it in business or you buy bitcoin and hold.

Is like you forget say na Naija you dey bros. Our government no be oyinbo people o wey dey plan better for the future of their citizens. You go first ask wether the Fiat money for pension whether, government dey fit pay these old people talk more of saving their retirement money for bitcoin. Na only you fit dey use part of your extra money dey DCA for the future because na only you go plan your old age yourself.

You dey correct to some point though but the truth of the matter be say those so called Oyibo worst pass Nigerian Government but the way them take they cover up their mess you self no go belief say those matter dey sup for that side. Our Government them no sabi do their own coded unlike some Oyibo people. Person wey dey depend on pension for this country dey really waste time because sometime the pension fit come when person don kpai (die) self.
