From what I am sensing here, having enough money or higher amount to trade with is not the problem here but how good you are in risk management is what really matters, just as you have already explained above. Some people may have the chance of having higher income at every week but do not spend wisely, while there are people who earns lesser and still makes judicious use of the income or salaries while those who earns higher keeps wondering about those who are earning lesser. The truth is that, there some people who are so reckless with money and they think of spending every time when ever they moves out because they believed it would get replaced immediately the week is over or when the month runs out. In all, the level at which one adjust themselves in trading really matters, and let not forget that the higher leverage we use to trade the higher they could lose as well, and also the higher they could also be profitable as well but then, to be at the safer side risk management must definitely takes place.
Risk management is clearly a priority in trading If we don't manage it well there's a high potential for losses and ultimately regret Trading isn't easy in my opinion, because the risks are very high, especially when using multiples, which will certainly increase the risk I also believe that whether we have large or small capital, if we don't analyze and manage risk well, there's a certain potential for losses I used to think that trading with large capital was better but in reality, the most important thing is skill and risk management along with the ability to control emotions

If you have higher amount of money, but you are losing while trading with lower amount of money, the chance that you will make money in trading is still very low.
The point is, we need to think realistically, so don't just chase instant and quick results. Because that's fundamentally unhealthy. Furthermore, I think if you have significant capital, my advice is to avoid futures trading. It's inherently very risky, especially for large sums of money. Sometimes our minds can be controlled by our imaginations, leading us to place very large multiples. So, with that in mind, I think if you have substantial capital, it's better to just scalp on the spot market. It's clearly less risky and more reassuring. However, don't forget to trade in leading coins,, like ETH, Solana, and Bitcoin. They're clearly safer than other currencies. So, that's my conclusion. But yes, everyone has their own decisions,, so it's up to them. The most important thing is to think more carefully about trading in crypto.

Being a profitable trader depends on how wisely they are utilizing the capital.
The capital is their weapon which can break down if used wrongly.
But it does not mean having a bigger weapon can confirm you a bigger profit, it is how you use it and how you time your trades. Most traders go wrong with timing their trades and placing wrong orders at the wrong time. Running into the market when it at all time high and then selling it when the price goes down.

Capital is an important tool in trading but it doesn't determine profitability. If you are not profitable with small money, you cannot be profitable with big money.
Capital doesn't determine or guarantee profit. But having more capital is still a huge advantage, and we can't deny that. So I don't agree that if you can't make money with a small amount, you can't do it with a bigger money. Let us say your goal is to make $1k profit a month. With only $2k in capital, you'd need to make 50%/month, which is obviously extremely difficult and come with a lot of risk. But with $100k, you only need 1% a month to hit the same target. Obviously, making a 1% return is a lot easier than making 50%. So yeah, more capital is always an advantage.

Being profitable in trading has nothing to do with your start up capital or margin as we usually called it, because what's more important is your skills and your ability to navigate your way in the market without getting unscatted. I believe that we are all familiar with this statement that " if you are not faithful in little, you cannot be faithful in much either, that's how trading is, so your start up margin is not that important, what's more important is how you manage your risk when the market is not going as planned, and how often you win more trades.

But having a high capital has much opportunities when we use our risk management skills in an appropriate way but when we neglect that then easily our high capital can turn to ashes. In trading our skills and knowledge is what pushes us into success and not our capital. If we have the knowledge and experience then even with our little capital we can grow it to high amount but with patient and consistency, trading has it challenges but overcoming then can grow our capital. A trader shouldn’t think capital are what brings success that is just a myth.

Actually it's not about the amount of trades it's about risk management. It's not that trading with a lot of money makes you a good trader. Rather it's much more important to consistently get results by applying your strategy correctly in small positions. If position sizing and risk management are not right, even a good strategy can lead to a few wrong trades that can cause big losses. For me the most important thing is to survive first, then increase your profits. So a trader is not the one who takes the biggest trades but the one who can survive in the game even if he takes bad trades.

Most traders started their trading journey with the intention of making a profit, most of them lost. They started trading with sufficient previous statistics. Let me give you an example, I have been in long-term investment for almost 2 years and the portfolio is still looking green but my holdings are not ready to be sold. I have set a time frame and if I reach that point, I might consider selling.
Also, I had built a separate trading portfolio with the aim of getting immediate profit. There I lost most of the time. My portfolio is still looking red.
I am just telling my experience, there are countless investors/traders who have no complaints about long-term investment but have a lot of complaints about trading. Literally no matter how much experience you gain in trading the market will let you down, you will lose most of the time just like in gambling we do not win most of the time.

Well, if that's the case, there's no reason why someone wouldn't make a 1% return with just $2k capital, just like they would with $100k, right? You said you don't agree that if you can't make money with a small amount, you can't do it with a bigger money. But that's exactly the point of this thread. $2k or $100k shouldn't make a difference if your strategy is the same. Of course, more capital is an advantage, but it's not a requirement for being a profitable trader.

If I had a large amount of money, I certainly wouldn’t be a trader, but would continue to hold onto Bitcoin and shares in companies offering good returns. This is because achieving a 10% annual return on huge amounts of capital still generates a substantial amount of money, whereas achieving a 10% return on small amounts of capital makes very little difference. So, if you have a small amount of capital, you start trading with high leverage; if things go well, you make money; if not, you get liquidated and lose very little.

But that certainly affects how much money you can earn and the level of risk you have to take. The more capital you have, the more opportunities you get, and the easier it is to manage your risk. This isnt just true for trading. In business and investing too, capital is very important factor. So it's a mistake to underestimate the role of capital. If knowledge and skill were all it took to succeed, most trader would be rich by now.

Yes, I agree with you on this point that "someone who earns only $250 may be more knowledgeable about financial management than someone who earns $1,000 a week" because of their different views on trading, and the final judgment is based on continuity, not just a certain period of time.
In other words, yes, a person may earn $1000 every week, but after several weeks they will suffer a large financial loss that will put their trading balance in the wrong. Therefore, yes, financial capital management is as important as learning analysis and other things related to trading.

James is a good example, I don't know much about him but he loves to gamble, that I know from his way of trading. And the lesson you are giving to all traders here is very valuable, we should definitely learn from it. No amount of capital could survive this high leverage because the market is so volatile that even a small pump or dump can liquidate, and he owns millions of dollars and that's why he has a high caliber of taking high risk trades.
I would never suggest anyone to YOLO half of their account on a single trade. We must learn how to control ourselves and size our positions regardless of our capital.
We should not worry much about it, we just have to be sure about the size and risk factor. Because no matter how much capital you have, it won't fix your bad habits, it will only cost you more.
