I don't know the advantage of using this third party website to monitor your portfolio even though you set that up as watch only wallet. I feel it is even risky to expose your wallet that much becaise you may be opening yourself up as a target for phsishing and other forms of attacks. As a matter of urgency, discontinue using that service and if possible, transfer your money out of that exposed wallet that have been tied to your email.

In my case it's never going to happen because that wallet address is a airgapped device, where will they send the phishing link to? I am not the time that uses devices connected to the internet and still use such devices to keep my Bitcoin and crypto assets.

Phishing can only happen on my PC or my smartphone and they both have nothing to do with my airgapped hardware wallet, let's sayy email is exposed as the wallet address owner, so what?

To get me they need to send bad link to my email address, and bro it's never going to work on me because in reality my email address has no relationships with my airgapped hardware wallet.

I think you need to work on your privacy, you don't need to mention $7000 of your investment of Bitcoin and altcoins, same way you don't need a tracker with your address and email.

No harm will come to your wallet address but you might get phishing scams.

When OP mentioned the USD worth of his Bitcoin I really felt uncomfortable for him, that was a very wrong thing to say in a public space like this, despite the fact that we are anonymous here yet it is not wise to be exposing the worth of your crypto in the public. I believe that many crypto holders that unfortunately got the wrench attacks were as a result of ignorantly stating what they were worth in the open, you never know who would be digging and even try to befriend you just to know you better and plan a wrench attack on you.

Definitely you are at risk if you are holding the funds in a custodial wallet or centralised exchange. They might access your email and the account related to the address. If it’s been exposed, then you have to change everything. Your funds also need to move as soon as possible.

Right now you may think you aren’t at risk, but the reality is different. Hackers would try to find your email password since they know you have funds to the related address. Then they might access all the data where your funds exist. So it’s a matter of concern to me.

My opinion.  Sweep if you rarely ever check the Inputs and Outputs of your own transactions.  Freeze if you often do.  Although I would say it is a very bad practice to not check Inputs and Outputs in the first place.

Do not use emails on these sites. I always avoid using email and I do not set up any portfolio. I am wondering how some people like portfolio of a thing. I can easily know the coins that I am having.

A little bit of breaking down from what I understand and why I feel your advice should work, is that most hacks don't start from blockchain, they started from exchange like ByBit ,Binance Security Alerts on emails with fake link which drain your wallet…from what it looks like there is never a leaked email link to it, no pushing e-mail, no data leak if the site gets breached.

And I feel what should be taken note of is you don't rely on the site to tell you what to do…from my understanding that not the phrase “ not your keys, not your coins” mindset….

People who chose to use portfolio trackers don't hold Bitcoin alone, because it's very easy to know the present value of Bitcoin with one search but it's not the same with alternative coins.

When anyone talk about portfolio tracker beside me it automatically means they are holding altcoins too, and if you don't keep track they can pump and dump under 24hrs.

Altcoins are too volatile and if anyone is holding them they need to keep tracks on them for instant alerts, the only takeaway here is to not use email address just like the advice said, if you must, make sure you create a different email address for it.

I don't blame Op. He's panic, scared and desperate to get help. People tend to overshare more than required when they find themselves in such situations. He's just trying to be specific as much as possible so he can get helpful answers not knowing he's inviting another threat to himself.

To Op, know that the blockchain is a public document. Everyone can see what is happening but no one can send your coins unless they have access to your keys. Knowing the balance in one's address does not possess danger to the wallet but you as a person. Nothing to worry about yet but it's better to keep the exact figures private next time because your safety should always be your number one priority.

What would make me more careful is that now someone may have your wallet address, your email and an idea of how much crypto you hold

I use Coinmarketcap, coingecko and cryptorank but only visit, check price, check other information and nothing more. I have never registered any account on those sites so honestly I don't know for example with Cryptorank.io what will happen with your Bitcoin address there.

Perhaps like many other sites, you can add Bitcoin and altcoin addresses to your account, then create a portfolio, and these sites can have ROIs over time for you.

You would never be 100% sure where those links lead so the best thing will be taking your bitcoin off any of those online wallets and go for a cold wallet, only then you’re much safe. A phone number will expose anyone more than a email address, because phone numbers are linked to NIN too, but not email addresses, it's only a centralised exchange that can get full information from a wallet address and that's even if the address is linked to a KYc information somewhere.

It depends on your practice in this forum and somewhere else, as if you post your Bitcoin address here, publish your identity somewhere else with the address, mention your account in this forum with your accounts somewhere else, these practices are like dots which can be connected together and many information about you, activities with bitcoin, balance, transaction history can be known.

Bitcoin does not require any email, any KYC to use, and it's possible to use with Tor connection so it's very good for privacy but it's still a public ledger which has traceable transactions so to obtain privacy and anonymity with Bitcoin blockchain, it really depends on your practice.

Op, according to the question you are asking, to the best of my knowledge your wallet address been exposed doesn't pose any threat because if it does we would not have been applying campaign with our Wallet address openly but because it doesn't pose any threat that is why we do apply with it. However, the only time we should be worried is when your seed phrase got exposed then it is very risky and dangerous because there is high chance of losing everything In that wallet because the main thing has been compromised. And if you are not wise and knowledgeable enough they can frighten you to send a relevant details of your wallet because they have your address.
