Privacy Bank Chain is a Proof-of-Work blockchain that merges Monero-grade privacy with a complete banking layer enforced directly by consensus — no smart contracts, no trusted third parties, no company behind it.

MAIN INNOVATIONS

• Native privacy + post-quantum security: ring signatures, stealth addresses, RingCT hidden amounts, hardened with ML-DSA-65 (Dilithium) signatures and ML-KEM-768 (Kyber) encapsulation. From HF v23, a Dilithium co-signature is mandatory for any public spend-authority operation.

• Interest-bearing term deposits: lock PBC for 30-365 days (tiers up to x2.0 weight) and earn protocol-paid rewards from real sources (6% of every block + 50% of network fees). Claim-based via deterministic global indexes — claim anytime, principal stays locked. Solvency guaranteed by construction; no fixed rate is ever promised.

• The first native bond market on a privacy chain: every deposit is a private bearer bond, tradable atomically on-chain at any price you set — no intermediary, no commission, no penalty.

• Trustless on-chain inheritance: designate an heir on-chain; a consensus-enforced dead-man's switch (18 months) lets them recover the funds — no notary, no third party.

• Insurance fund with deterministic deflation: 1% of every block, capped at exactly 1% of max supply — any excess is burned at every block, by consensus. Strictly finite supply: 18,446,744 PBC.

• Fair CPU mining: RandomX V2 (rx/pbc) — a regular CPU is enough. Coinbase rewards vest in 4 consensus-enforced tranches (24h/30d/60d/90d).

What makes the community pool different: a built-in vesting tracker. On PBC, every block reward is minted in 4 tranches of 25% that unlock at ~24h / ~30d / ~60d / ~90d — enforced by consensus on the coinbase itself, so no pool software can bypass it (this is the protocol's anti-dump mechanism). Miners on the community pool will see exactly which part of their mined coins is already unlocked, which part is still vesting, and the full unlock schedule.

Two pools from week one — and since PBC works with any standard Stratum pool, more are welcome.

Mainnet — one week in

Short status update for those following the thread.

Chain — block 8,637 as I write this. Block time is holding at the 1-minute target, network hashrate ~12 MH/s, difficulty ~721 M, mempool empty most of the time. No halt, no rollback, no incident on the chain itself.

Software — we shipped fast during week one: the all-in-one app is now at 1.0.16 (several point releases) and the node at v8.2.17. Each fix is listed on the download page, binaries come with md5 sums, and the sources of everything (node, wallet, miner) are published.

Mining — RandomX v2 (rx/pbc), CPU only. pbcminer is an XMRig fork with 0% dev fee, source included; cpuminer-rplant also supports rx/pbc now. Two pools are live: the community pool on AriaPool (1% fee, full vesting view) — https://pool.ariabrain.com/pbc.html — and Rplant — https://pool.rplant.xyz/#privacybank. Or mine solo straight from the GUI app. Rewards vest in tiers (24 h / 30 / 60 / 90 days); that's protocol-level, not a pool rule.

Deposits — the first term deposits are live: 4,727 PBC locked as of block 8,637. I'm deliberately not posting yield figures here: the protocol guarantees no rate, and what depositors receive depends on how many of them there are. The mechanism is in the whitepaper, §4.

What is the required amount for staking, and is there a tutorial on how to lock coins within the wallet?

Hi — good questions.

**"Staking" on PBC is a bit different from classic PoS staking: it's a term deposit.** You lock coins for a fixed term (30 / 90 / 180 / 270 / 365 days) and earn interest paid by the protocol, proportional to the amount and the term. You can claim your interest at any time, and there's also a secondary market to sell a deposit before maturity if you need liquidity.

**Minimum deposit:** 10 PBC. You'll also need a little extra unlocked balance to cover the network fee, so in practice keep a bit more than the amount you want to lock.

**Yield:** it's not a fixed rate — a fixed pool (6% of each block + 50% of network fees) is shared among all depositors, weighted by amount and term. So it varies day to day with the number of depositors, the total locked, and network activity. Right now, in the early phase with few depositors, it's very high — at the moment of writing, roughly 1 PBC locked for 1 year is on track to return around 12 PBC — but this WILL drop as more people deposit. It's an "early bird" mechanic, not a promise. Live figures and the three scenarios are here:
