I think that, at the moment, bitcoin is more convenient than gold because it is easier to carry out different types of transactions with it, such as buying and selling, storing it, and potentially using it in everyday life. They are two different assets, and I definitely think it makes sense to have both rather than invest everything in just one of them. Personally, I would add a couple of other investment options as well instead of choosing only between these two. However, I find bitcoin significantly easier to invest in than gold.

Seeing that in the past more countries were skeptical about Bitcoin and now most countries are actually interested in legalizing it through their regulations, it's not hard to imagine that more countries will include Bitcoin as one of the assets for their investment diversification. Even Bitcoin block time and transaction speed are fast enough, if people consider Bitcoin is very valuable and like an investment asset, wealth storage asset, they will not have need of using their bitcoin too often like daily. They will use their bitcoins but for big business deals, transactions, and when they want to sell bitcoins for profit than using it for payments with small things and trades.

People who really know what Bitcoin is will also prefer Bitcoin to gold, gold has a more stable growth which makes investors with less risk tolerance to invest in it, but as for the high risk investors like CZ, they are more comfortable with Bitcoin not minding it's volatility. I personally put Bitcoin and gold on a par as a reserve asset of wealth. It doesn't matter whether bitcoin market capitalization has surpassed gold's or not, it's just a matter of time. Imagine Bitcoin is not yet 2 decades old but its growth has been this vast in a relatively short time, while gold has been around for thousands of years. The presence of Bitcoin in the era of technological sophistication is vital and revolutionary, therefore Bitcoin changes our paradigm in seeing the concept of money, scarcity, ownership, and value.

Is true gold is good for business while bitcoin is volatile front still rules out that it's also good for business even though it might require those who truly understands how it works to deal with it but tut doesn't also deny the fact that, bitcoin is already gaining so much global attention and acceptance and we are already seeing some good number of countries holding it as some sort of reserve for them which is a clear sign that countries are already buying into the vision of bitcoin and as compared to previous years when relations where very strict on it, now a lot of countries even if they haven't fully incorporated it.

People who have interest in gold will prefer to invest in this asset while Bitcoin lovers will find it easy to invest in Bitcoin. Gold was recently going very high and many people started investing in gold with hope that this bull run will continue in coming days also but for last many weeks gold market is moving in downward direction. Likewise we have such scenarios in Bitcoin also. Whether you chose Bitcoin or gold, one thing you have to make sure is that you have necessary prerequisite knowledge of the asset you choose, without that you won't be able to get success in both markets.

Yeah, in terms of investment Bitcoin is far difference from the gold because if we take look at it now not everybody knows how the gold markets works. But as for the bitcoin a lots of people knows about it for a long time now, since it has been a great assets and that why we can see everyone want to invest in Bitcoin just for the future.

One thing is certain here a lot of persons can actually see that Bitcoin could be a much better asset than gold.

Surely, arguments against are always valid; it could be in the perspective that good is fine for business, Bitcoin is volatile, after coming up to 77 k it failed to reach 85 k and could deep further. Well we've all seen this before.

Certainly the gap is getting more interesting to watch.

All these comparison between Bitcoin and Gold is now becoming tiring and repetitive. Both assets are good in their own way, so whichever asset people chose to invest in let's respect their choices and stop making all these comparison, because they won't get us  anywhere.
 
Gold may be better for business, because it's not as volatile as Bitcoin. However, I still prefer Bitcoin over gold for reasons best known to me, also someone can start investing in Bitcoin with as little as $5, but gold is very much expensive and  often reserved for the rich guys.

I doubt Bitcoin has come to replace gold totally, but rather both will co-exist, as Bitcoin is digital and gold is physical; they both serve their respective purposes and share some unique values such as a store of value and a safe haven asset or hedge against inflation. No doubt that Bitcoin, based on its utility case, is becoming more valued than gold has been, but that does not make gold worthless. Bitcoin is a king operating differently from gold; I don't see a total replacement, but Bitcoin will dominate the store of value space in no distant time.

I am sure both are going to be stay here peacefully without any comparison because peoples are creating argument without having any solid evidence about how things are going to be work both have their own use case and also going to be exist for long time if both have competition then surely tis going to be interesting but there is nothing about this.

Gold has been here for ages, but bitcoin is not up to 2 decades. I believe the market is still young, so bitcoin can actually evolve to many things more than our expectations.

What is the gain after comparing both assets? We end up with either buying Bitcoin or both because we see  the reasons.

Both gold and Bitcoin are useful, they are good assets and could be worth more in the future. Investors who can afford to do both shouldn't relent, It is an advantage to accumulate and make plans to hold the asset for the long term.

We do not need to have uncultured reasoning, whether Bitcoin surpasses gold or not, rest assured we must make profits from our investment.

That is the point. Meanwhile, many people are refering to bitcoin as a digital gold. This means, bitcoin is in one way or the other behaving like gold(of course we cannot say that gold is behaving like bitcoin). If this is true, it will mean that investing in both assets might not longer be seen as diversification hence they are following the same chart.

If you remember last year, gold peaked and out performed bitcoin. Although, bitcoin did pretty well too. But something happened that both gold and bitcoin crashed heavily. You see, both are synchronized that they are now behaving the same way. A smart investor will choose one of them and then diversify.

I am also optimistic that bitcoin will surpass gold, but as said by CZ there's a short timeline for it. Was it on the next bull run he said? I don't think that's likely to happen. While if it ever does then that's good for all of the holders and it's very possible that many will start selling at that price. The next bull run has to make around 8x from the last ATH that it did last year of $126k. Which means that there's a need for a huge catalyst for Bitcoin for it to have that tremendous gain in the next coming years. I am not against to the idea but just finds it unrealistic based on the short timeline.

First of all, I am not seeing what you are seeing. Maybe you went into the future, or you are assuming all this from the optimistic ideas you have.

If yes, then I can see what you see, but I just think I won't be able to see it with my real eyes, because developments like this can take decades or maybe even more, so I might not live to see them with my own eyes.

Gold has a long track record, like very long, while BTC is just 17 years old. Although I am not saying BTC is not good, or gold is the best, nah.

I am just saying Gold has been adopted by almost every bank, country, government. People trusted it for a reason, but BTC has not reached there.

Your claim of replacing gold is already so big that you added surpass as well. Bro, focus on the current times.

As much as the debate on these two keeps popping up & will never rest, let's face it gold and Bitcoin are never going to be in the same league regardless of the similarities!!

If we are going to talk about adoption or widely accepted, gold will always win this and to make matters worse Investor money is attracted to security & regulation and that's a reason it's pushed into gold than it is for Bitcoin,and let's not forget several governments have gold reserves and all that which means alot of people and institutions have an interest to protect , unlike Bitcoin which fights for itself with the back up of its small userbase.

Gold has existed since the ancient kingdom while bitcoin was only 15 years ago, then it is clear the comparison will be much different moreover, indeed some large institutions or countries do reserve gold as a valuable and non-volatile asset, comparing now does not make sense, wait until bitcoin is over 30 years old then we can see the development of who will match it.

I can't say whether Bitcoin will be able to keep pace with gold, but it seems difficult to me that Bitcoin will beat the gold market. Maybe the former CEO of Binance, CZ, said that gold will fall behind Bitcoin in the future. Where the current market dominance of gold is much higher than Bitcoin, that is, about 20 times higher, so for Bitcoin to surpass this 20 times higher market and go to the top, the price of one Bitcoin would have to be about 2 million dollars. This seems very unrealistic and I can't guarantee it because no one can guarantee anything about the future. However, it is foolish to believe that the former CEO of Binance will be 100% true.

CZ sold his house/ apartment for Bitcoin investment many years ago, and he left Blockchain.info company after that to build up his own company Binance. To say CZ does not have enough knowledge about Bitcoin and finance will be like one of biggest misleading information when talking about this man. Before blockchain.info, CZ also worked for some financial exchange companies in Japan as far as I recall.

He launched Binance, with a successful  ICO, and distributed many BNB tokens to very early Binance users in 2017, then the exchange quickly took over leading position from Bittrex and Poloniex. Since then, Binance has never lost its leading position in cryptocurrency centralized exchange industry, and CZ as well as Binance actions usually lead this industry.

Bitcoin is the digital Gold of our time, this is enough for me as I don't see the need to put real gold side by side with Bitcoin, they are not even the same thing, I will never understand why people are putting them closer and hoping that Bitcoin beats Gold some day, it doesn't have to be this way, one is physical and the other is digital, that makes them very different from eachother. This fact still remains that Bitcoin will never replace Gold because their utilities are different, the world needs both for what they are used for.
