Your last statement said it all, Trump has no actual principles, he is a money go getter and this is why things can fall apart, maybe not instantly but later on in life, because if anything big happens to prediction market in future they will have to cover it up to keep their reputation clean and doing this can drag them down. If someone can expose polymarket in the future they will drag Trump into the mess and believe me, prediction markets are all hiding alot.
He is a businessman who gains power. So it's not surprising that what he does is always chasing profit. We will try to see if there will be other dramas emerging from Polymarket after this. Or other dramas like the red card intervention that meant nothing in the World Cup. When politics and money are at play, the game itself is no longer enjoyable.
Well, politics itself is already dirty, and Trump is no wonder playing it well because he certainly knows how to play the game well. But just like other leaders in other countries who mix politics with personal greed and interest, who abuses their own power to manipulate everything, Trump will definitely face them when his term ends. Especially if those anti-Trump's government will ride it along.
Polymarket is just lucky today because its protected by Trump and its allies. So whatever that becomes suspicious will come out clean as long as there is protection from the highly influenced leader and its group.
