I normally don't do polymarket and if I was, this would be a goodbye because of Trump Jr involvement, that is corruption at its peak because no one is going to hold any Trump family accountable.

Who is going to block who now? If Trump family is farming polymarket because they are this into Polymarket like this who is going to stop them? Nobody

Prediction market will forever more be this sucks because it will depend on who is on power and where the prediction market is located, I am never going anywhere near prediction markets, never.

Realistically, it is very difficult to exclude politicians from having investments, because the majority of people in developed countries, like the United States, have investments, looking forward to their future and retirement.

It would be tricky, as someone could have investments before getting into politics, and they would not be willing to sell all their positions before assuming their role within their government.

I think the approach which is supposed to be taken must have more to do with enhancing transparency, making politicians to disclose their portfolios, so prosecutors can know whether there was inside trading or conflict of interest.

Is there any form of money making business that the Trump family won’t like to play a role in at all, I doubt that there isn’t any that they see a very good opportunity at and not take the chance immediately. We are in a technological advance world and more ways keeps evolving that people make money through which polymarket is highly one of them. I am not surprised by this big investment from Trump Jnr. The family are very good at taking advantage of any system that will enrich them. Just look how Donald Trump and Melina Trump took advantage of the crypto market and made lots of money through their altcoin projects. That already sends a message on the kind of family they are and how they always want to stay positioned to benefit from the available options.

Polymarket is really growing. In the past few days I have read some topics here about prediction markets being abused through insider information, and now this news came out that 1789 Capital, where Donald Trump Jr. is a partner, reportedly invested another $300 million in Polymarket.

What I’m thinking is, could this kind of political connection somehow affect how strict regulation will be in the future?

Imagine this much money going into prediction markets while the industry is still facing regulatory problems and questions about insider betting. And considering that the son of the U.S. president is connected to one of the investors, it naturally raises some questions for me.

We are all evidents of how risky the prediction market can be, it is a place where no bet is placed with certainty, but when an unusual money is getting involved, such thing is capable of raising questions , and there would be not doubt if someone is pointing at insider's information. Predicting the poly market based on insider's information is possible, this happens in politics, and it also happens in sports betting too, and such platform will deploy strict measures, and place very huge penalty on any defaulter or anyone caught divulging information to the public to take advantage of.

Trump Jr. could exploit his father’s influence to obtain inside information on certain political events that are being predicted, and this would be illegal manipulation expected to cause a major uproar in Congress, especially by anti-Trump Democrats.

This is the part I fear the most because the cheating will be obvious but there would be nothing anyone can do about it and dumping 300 million in the prediction market and also holding a key position in the system is just something I can't get to rap my head around but which ever the case might be, I am definitely sure there are a lot of fishy things going on back stage which the regular people can't see and so, anyone hoping to play with polymarket should have at the back of their minds that, the system might just be rigged.

Yes, everyone should deal with Polymarket with extreme caution and it is best to avoid it because they have a lot of suspicions to begin with and now things have become even more suspicious than before.

Polymarket has been banned in many countries such as France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Russia, and even in the United States Americans are prohibited from using the global platform but are allowed to trade through a separate, private platform that is subject to direct federal oversight by the (CFTC) and strict identity verification requirements(KYC).

It's very uncommon for an organization who's truly ready for business and intends to stay longer would possibly be seeking ways to clear their names because most of these counties listed to have banned polymarket still allows gambling in their country, so banning polymarket wouldn't be counted as just a coincidence as something sure would have prompted it or don't you think so ? Is it speculation?  I think it is quite far fetched to think it will not be abused. We tend to forget very quickly what happened in the past and when it comes to Trump or Trump-related investments into any project, it usually went hand in hand with some very questionable decisions. One of the examples everyone should still be aware of if the pardoning of CZ from Binance.

March 2025 Trump family negotiated with Binance about stake in Binance U.S. business. Still March World Liberty Financial announced stablecoin and Binance engineers build the underlying tech. May 2025 Abu Dhabi MGX announced $2 billion investment in that stablecoin. Still may CZ applied for presidential pardon. October CZ got pardoned.

Even better, Trump publicly said he doesn't know who this CZ guy is. He was asked how that is possible because he pardoned him and he just said he can't remember them all.

Last time I checked, Trump and his family have been involved in pretty much all kind of businesses. Melania has her own brand of luxurious items, like dresses and accessories. Trump also was involved with gambling and casinos in the past, he even had his own brand of Vodka and bottled water.

Keeping in mind how much of a money chaser he is, it makes complete sense he decided to get into the business of Cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, (even having his own meme coin), even though he mentioned in the past how much of a scam Bitcoin was.

He does not have actual principles, he just follows the money.

They have the right to invest in different businesses just like everyone else, even more this is the case for the family members of the president or the associates. We have seen other politicians around the world abuse their positions even more for longer periods of time, even in the US so I would not be quick to judge this case unless we have been calling out many others too. The investment into Polymarket does not make it legitimate, it also does not have any real influence on the supreme court as they often rule against what Trump wants. They might just realize the potential of the whole thing and have decided to invest in it.

Well isn't announcing that you are officially investing in it the transparency that you are talking about? They could have tried to hide this and invest through intermediaries, partners or some secret companies but instead they have done it directly and it was announced. I agree that prediction markets are out of control at the moment but that is how it is until clear regulations emerge from the situation. The court cases are still going to take some time, but they have already received at least some restrictions in some places that are appropriate.

Yes, there's no free lunch these days. The 300m funding is a continuation from the 200m fund granted by 1789 Capital, which is venture capital who partnered with Trump's soon.  Although it's hard to guess what kind of motive behind this funding, but i think Poly will let Trump's people to keep trade with the help from the insider job.

As far as i know Trump's son total wealth has increased significantly after he joined prediction market as an advisor. Max grifting has to be done before the end of his dad's period.
