WARNING: ChangeHero withholding $93,588 USDT after full KYC compliance

I am posting this to warn the cryptocurrency community regarding ChangeHero.io holding 93,588.86 USDT without valid justification after full verification.

Operating Entities: Herofintechs LIMITADA (Costa Rica) / Hero Payment Solutions Limited (Hong Kong)

Summary of the Incident: I initiated an exchange of 93,588 USDT (ERC20 to TRC20). The transaction was placed on "Hold" instantly. I promptly cooperated with their compliance team and submitted all requested KYC/AML identity verification documents.
Despite full compliance, ChangeHero continues to withhold my funds indefinitely, offering only automated responses to "wait" without processing the swap or issuing a refund.
I have formally issued a 48-hour final notice demanding either the release of the funds or a direct refund to the originating address (even agreeing to standard 10% fee deductions).

If unresolved, formal legal filings and regulatory fraud reports will proceed against Herofintechs LIMITADA and its directors via:
Costa Rica Financial & Fraud Authorities (SUGEF / OIJ / PROCONSUMO)
Hong Kong Police (ADCC) & Customs (MSO)

I can't find this transaction ID; they may have deleted it.
ChangeHero has a long history of such scam stories; trying to post on Reddit will give faster results than the forum.

ChangeHero only has a 5/10 rating on kycnot.me and their account on the forum, ChangeHero.io, has negative trust after they were accused of scamming someone out of $21,000.

In that case, they did issue a refund, but it came many months after the swap was initiated.

According to the Terms of Use, on 31/01/2020 at 13:39:43 the Service has made a refund to the outgoing Address 0x975f422840ed3729a5b95a60e454e0826b719f4a, Hash: 0x207cc2a75781aecc9b08d6f7e7bfeadce53ff85c7ee509cc79ea8da1b8477d9f. The address will be blacklisted by the Service, and the User or any further operations connected with this address will be blocked.

There are several accusations similar to yours on Reddit. It almost seems like a pattern of selective scamming, where they wait for some really large swaps and then seize those funds and put up as many obstacles to avoid having to make a refund. It should not take very long for them to review your information. Considering their reputation, I expect them to drag this out for some time.

But if you had taken at least two hours to research them, you would have had a completely different view, and I believe you wouldn't have used that site. Look at the scam accusations against them on Trustpilot and the amounts of money involved:

August 2026: They had 3 scam accusations, one of which involved $77,000.

July 2026: They had 1 scam accusation.

November 2025: They had 3 scam accusations, one involving $60,000, another $4,000, and the third $12,000.

September 2025: They had 1 scam accusation, involving 43,484 USDT.

See how these are very high amounts of money, and you also used the same site and deposited a very high amount. It makes it seem like you don't value your money. The team members only have names; there are no photos of them or social media links. Only the CEO has a public face; they put his social media name but didn't include the link. When you search for him, nothing relevant comes up. If you decide to sue them, you'll have to spend money on a lawyer in Costa Rica, and finding their physical office could be an impossible mission. Even the police will spend years trying to locate them and investigate this case, and you'll be spending a lot of money on it.

Before you can use any exchange service, it is important to research about their reputation and know the grand at which they stand, it's such a pity that this platform does not have a good reputation over sometime now and they tend to hold on people's asset for no reason.

I will also support the report you wanted to give on them, such platform should be restricted from operating because of this fetish behavior they are used to, anyone intending to use an instant exchange should verify the platform review and other information before using a random one.

Yesterday,
I posted their message on various forums, and after they found out, they transferred my cryptocurrency to me.
However, if I hadn't exposed their actions, they would have just kept delaying and ignoring my emails.
But after I exposed their actions, they proactively contacted me and completed the transaction without requiring any further information.
Therefore, I still want to report them and warn other users to be aware of this situation, because their KYC requirements are extremely unreasonable, and even if you provide the information they ask for, they still won't complete the transaction.
